Alban cut my hair, and all I can say is that it was the BEST cut I have ever had. It is costly, but oh so worth it.

DO NOT RECOMMEND this salon. First off, let me start by saying I Am Not A Complainer!! I visited this salon a few weeks back with my roots grown out and a pretty white blonde. I ask the guy doing my hair to bring up my roots and tone my hair to the rest of the existing white blonde on my head. Im pretty sure he got freaked out as my roots were dark. He painted on my color and chatted. I should have watched my time however I'm paying for a job so that being said I did not track the time. He would come over asking "does your scalp hurt?!" That right there is a clue it was on a bit longer than it should have been. Finally when he rinsed out my hair he gave me a mirror and was like "that looks pretty good apart from the purple on your roots, right?!" "The purple will look nice!" Now the lights are pretty yellow in the brown salon so it was hard to tell as I blew out my hair myself. After I paid $200 for JUST COLOR I left to my car and looked in the rear view and saw my hair was Canary yellow with orange yellow roots!!! I was so mad I just went home. Now here is the best part, not really, as the night progresses my head started to hurt and by the next morning my whole scalp was scabby all over my head!!! I called the salon immediately the next morning when it opened and explained everything. They had NO WORDS for my scabby scalp but told me to come in to put on a toner to fix the color. MORE COLOR ON MY BURNT SCALP?! No way José!! Since never going back it has been now a few weeks later and NOW MY HAIR IS FALLING OUT BY THE CLUMPS!!! CLUMPS!!!! Seriously soooooo upset!! I have NEVER in my life EVER had this happen to me!! I would not step foot in this salon!! March 2019 UPDATE!! My hair has now went from long blonde and beautiful to super short and dark!! It is on the recovery from broken/ damaged!! DO NOT GO HERE unless you want BADLY MESSED UP HAIR THAT WILL TAKE A YEAR TO REPAIR!! read more

Your products and your company are the absolute worst. I was chased down in the Harrod's in London and encouraged to "try" your products by two gorgeous women. I bought the product. It FAILED right away. I LIASED with Harrod's, was asked to make videos of how I was trying to make it work. I was a first time client and had the best experience! I have long(ish) blonde hair and scheduled a partial bleach highlight with Naomi. She was wonderful and I left with icy, bright blonde highlights which is exactly what I wanted! My appointment started right on time and she worked quickly (which is a huge bonus - I hate sitting in a salon chair for hours!). I recently saw a review for Jose Eber Salon and was reminded of my horrible experience. I am a bit newer to yelp, that is my reason for not writing the review earlier, as I was not aware of yelp when I left that salon for the last time. I had been going for haircuts for less than a year, always getting the same style, and it typically turned out very nicely. However, when I asked for a bit of a change, showed her a pic and additionally wanted my hair colored...my hair world turned upside down. The colorist somehow gave me BLACK hair, which I clearly did not want. She blamed it on my hair, then offered to give me highlights to supposedly soften the stark Elvira look she mistakenly gave me. Then the stylist cut my hair way too short, which cut out all my curl. She also blamed it on me, saying the pic I showed her was shorter hair. Yes, the pic was shorter hair, but definitely NOT THAT SHORT. I was in tears for days, hated to look at myself, and finally complained to the big wig himself...Jose Eber. I went to see him when he was in town a bit later. He informed me that I should apologize to my stylist and colorist because my hair looked fabulous (in his heavy accent). Seriously? I should have asked him if I could borrow the hat he was wearing to cover up his salon's botched hairstyle and color. I paid about $250 for exactly what I didn't want. Never returned. To this day, when I see the name Jose Eber a bad feeling comes over me. read more

This Salon is the best find in West Plano! I have difficult hair and no one in the DFW area has been able to give me a good cut. Alban at Jose Eber is the stylist I recommend. He is tres Francais and knows how to cut hair! He is professional, very talented and can make magic with any type of hair. His style cuts are precise and last approximately 3 months. Last week was our first visit to this Salon and WOW what a great experience! To say we were both in need of a cut and I color was an understatement! They were very accommodating to get us worked in and we are both beyond pleased with the results! Jonathan did my color and suggested a few highlights which I had never done , but the results were amazing! Everyone has commented on how fresh my hair looks! I recently got my hair cut for the first time with Alban and at a Jose Eber salon in Plano. I have long, thick hair and wanted something flattering with my face. Alban and the team were amazing. I have very high standards, and they took the time to produce an amazing outcome. I then brought my teen daughter who worked with Alban and Loane for cut and highlights. They took just as much time with her, and she is wildly happy with her new look. The cut frames her face. The highlights are natural yet noticeable and age appropriate. I had my hair done by Alban and was completely in love with my new look and amazed with the style.

Went for full highlights after a referral. Stylist was distracted with at least one other client the entire 2 hours I was there, and even stopped for a lunch break. She should stop for lunch, but not while she has clients in the chair. Their front desk should manage the schedule better. When all was said and done, I have extremely uneven highlights (while I'm not a stylist, she seemed to have a very haphazard approach to the application of the color). Some places there are blonde highlights, but in the back it is largely a reddish tint/undertone. Again, I'm no stylist, but I think that means incorrect processing time under the heat source. Of course, I did not find out about the red tint until I got home and used a hand mirror to see the back of my hair. The $160 covered highlights...nothing more. They offered a hair dryer if I wanted to dry my hair, or I could pay additional for them to dry it. Overall, exceptionally underwhelmed by everything associated with these people. I highly suggest you consider going elsewhere. read more

Myself, my mother, and her mother have been going here for a few years now, and we really don't like to go elsewhere. Contrary to other reviews, I have never had a problem with the color I have received there, but I don't color every single time. I always give very specific instructions of what I would like, and I get the same thing when I do color - highlights and overall color both (overall for me, highlights for my mom and her mom). Any issues I've had, I've spoken up about before it was too late, and voiced if I was concerned about a new look, etc beforehand. They don't get insulted - they would rather have you upset before its too late than after. read more

I first went to Jose Eber salon when they had an event to meet Jose. It was really cool and he gave my colorist exact instructions on how to fix my color. She did a GREAT job. I have been going since then (6 months ago) and my color has never looked better. I feel very pampered at this Plano Salon complete with a glass of wine, fantastic chairs, and most of all... my colorist is ALWAYS on time! Huge for me. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is it's a little pricey and I have to blow dry my own hair. But for the quality of service, I will am willing to deal :) read more

I have made it a practice to not look for the people with talent. I look for the individuals with the GIFT! Alban Pessy, Creative Director, has that gift. After four years of his not cutting my hair, but styling my hair, i still get complements on the way it looks. So, if you have been out there with other cutters, look for the stylist, the one with a gift, then you will continually get the look you want. I came to Jose Eber thinking I was getting a nationally known and renowned salon that would take pride in their work because the brand is ony as strong as the quality of service. I did a consultation for extensions and could not have been more misled. Lo Ann was the stylist and she completely misrepresented the maintenance and cost that is required for their extensions. I tried going back to correct the miscommunication and find resolution and was met with defensiveness and almost hostility from Lo Ann and no manager involvement. When I called and demanded a manager I got the lead stylist who was arrogant, rude and told me nothing I said happened really did - in essence calling me a liar. He then contradicted himself by stating Lo Ann doesn't do consultations by herself because she can be difficult to understand. My consultation and corrective appt were all with Lo Ann unsupervised... A $1K investment was down the drain in only 10 weeks which is ridic! So onto a new stylist and salon that takes pride in customer service, full disclosure and not calling their customers liars. My advice - unless the salon is willing to guarantee what they tell you by putting it in writing run for the door! read more
