I just want to say that I came in to this dentist place with a lot of pain. I'm not so sure what was happening but it was hurting so much I could not take it anymore. As soon as I walk to this dentist office they took care of me and took me the same day. Dr Tummala was sooo wonderful! She immediately check me out and found what the problem was. I want to share my story because I want people to know that having a root canal is not the end of the world. She did a wonderful job and made sure I had 0 pain while she was doing the root canal. I will 100% recommend her to anyone and to family and friends. I am very thankful for founding Dr Tummala. I am switching Dentist and will continue to go see her from now on. My wife went here 4 years ago. The Indian Doctor said she had 3 cavities and filled them with composite white fillings. Sadly to say all 3 fillings were not done properly. My personal dentist of 30 years said the previous dentist didn't get all of the decay out of my wife's 3 teeth before filling them with the composite fillings. I'm not sure if she was hoping to do 3 future root canals because she was hoping the decay would get worse. I'll never go back!!! read more

I try to be fair and give people a chance, but I wish wouldn't have. There are so many problems with this place from the poor communication, lack of sanitation, and services. I first came because I had a chipped tooth and they said I'd need a root canal and crown. And 3 cavities that needed fillings. I didn't even make it to getting the fillings done because the crown came off 4 times in total!!!! After the last time I went to a different dentist and was told the pre work for the crown was done poorly which was why it did not stay. Then went from 3 cavities to 8, when my teeth were just cleaned by them not even within 6 months! I advice not to get anything done here. When calling to speak with Dr. Tummala you get out on hold or she doesn't even call back! There were dead insects the last few times I went and they lied saying they were in network with my insurance provider. Please don't waste your time! read more

Unprofessional, disrespectful, scammers. This place it's definitely not the place you want to go to take care your teeth. I came there after 3 estimates in different places , I did was looking for better deal even that I did got good payment deals , I came and I explain the doctor / owner all the situation I have and she agreed also, she gave me a deal - 1749$ for everything!!!! But every time she send one of her young associate to add to me another amount of money that said I need to pay , they don't even know to explain why , or they asking more money for the payment ??? Which it's not was the agreement. What is that , she is rude (the doctor/owner) disrespectful and not working gently , very aggressive I needed to come few times for the temporary crown (fail) and also they damaged my lips.. In the end after they finish the Ruth canal after 2/3 appointment, they call me to rescan for my crown which was supposed to be ready already but for some reason ( to ask more money) I needed to come and to go through again like every time this stupid conversation in the desk about how much I'm going to pay and they decided amount just like that with no explanation why and after I explain them it's not what we agreed they said , ok so you need to pay how you gonna pay. ? Like excuse me I'm in a dentistry or in the flea market. In the end I was supposed to have my crown but because I didn't pay the extra she wanted from me she said she not going to take care of me and she let me go like this with no crown and no temporary solution. Ridiculous place. I must to say , I was supposed to finish long time ago , she made more appointment so she can call that payments every time I'm coming , they lying to me in my face and the most important, this doctor have no respect to the clients , to this business, she will just talk with you about money. disgusting read more

Giving this business five stars, came in to see Dr.Tummala for an emergency after everyone recommended me to come see her. The waiting time and paperwork was efficient and fast even with out having insurance. After getting work done by the dr and speaking with her and her staff I will definitely continue to come back for my 6 months appointment and treatment if I need to get work done again. After reading all of the seemingly good reviews, I figured I would take my daughter here. Bad mistake. My daughter was scheduled for a cleaning along with her annual x-rays. The cleaning wasn't even half way done.... all the doctor did was brush over her teeth very quickly and placed sealants. No flossing of the teeth, no viewing of her x-rays...... nothing that should come natural when scheduling a "cleaning". We were honestly in and out within 5 minutes max. Not to mention, they billed my insurance instead of my daughter's! A month later, my insurance company and I are still fighting with them to bill my daughter's insurance. I just moved to the Meyerland area, and I was in need of a new dentist ASAP, as I was having some serious tooth pain. I looked up the dentists in the area and decided to go with this office because they were closest to my house and had been recommended to me. I was not disappointed! I called the office and Ahmed, the dentist's assistant, was able to process my insurance and get an appointment for me that same day. Dr. Tummala had another patient at the same time, but I only had a very short wait. She was very patient and took the time to really look at what was going on with my teeth and explain everything to me in detail. She scheduled a follow-up for me a few days later for a full cleaning and to fill two cavities that had been causing me some trouble. She also advised me on how to take care of the arthritis I've developed in my jaw (part of a pre-existing rheumatic condition). The office itself is quiet, clean, and well-lit. Dr. Tummala uses digital x-rays rather than film, so you can see your x-rays immediately, and she'll go over them with you to discuss any problems or potential issues. She also has Netflix, which means you can watch a movie or a tv show while you're getting work done. It's a little better than just sitting back and staring at the ceiling, but dental work isn't ever really "fun." It's a small office and only her, Ahmed, and a dental intern, but Ahmed, her assistant, is very knowledgeable and has several years of experience. They're a great team, very friendly, and I really felt comfortable having them work on my teeth. Dr. Tummala is experienced in performing minor and major dental work (extractions, root canals, dentures, bridges, etc.). She also works with most (if not all) of the major insurance carriers. After reading so many wonderful reviews, I decided to make an appointment for a routine cleaning and mild toothache. The first red flag should have been how long it took me to actually make an appointment - over ten minutes. I also emailed my insurance card to the address provided (triple checked accuracy), but it bounced back. I shrugged it off, maybe the employee was new? Since I was a new patient, I arrived early for my appointment. Upon arrival, I was told they had "no record" of my appointment and asked to "please fill out paperwork" because they will "see what they can do." I was visibly frustrated. My husband, an essential employee, had taken off work early so that I could attend the appointment. After waiting in the far corner of the lobby to observe social distancing measures, seated on the floor (not even joking - there was one chair which was occupied) another patient came in. They did not have their appointment on the books either. As I was watching this interaction, I noticed that the backdoor had what appeared to be waterlogged sandbags/wet water deterrent devices against it. I am well aware of the seemingly constant flooding in the area, but it was clearly not a medically sanitary environment. I did not feel safe, sanitary, cared about or welcome. I grabbed my things and left. The actual dentist may be lovely, but I did not make it past the paperwork. I would not recommend this office to anyone and will never return. There are too many other dentists in town who would welcome the business. read more

I was very impressed from when I walked in the door until the time I left, I was treated with kindness, I didn't have to wait like at others dentist office and the staff was very attentive. I had X-rays done and I was given options right away, which for me that's a plus, they were very considerate of my time. I had my wisdom tooth pulled in no time and no discomfort whatsoever. Dr. Tummala is the best dentist I've ever had. She was so attentive and informative, I really felt 100% comfortable in her care. She has treated my entire family and we all receive top-notch care when we go in for work. Her primary goal is to help you keep your teeth, so you won't get trapped in the constant bombardment of cosmetic treatment that many other dentists try to sell you. I love that Dr. Tummala does all of the dental work aside from the x-rays. She does the cleaning, the fillings, and any other work that you need, so she is completely hands-on in your care. Most dentists rely on support staff to do these things. She is also an orthodontist and I feel certain that she is the right person to provide this service to my children when they are ready. I absolutely love my dentist Dr. Chiranjeevi Tummala! She doesn't try to sway you into doing more than what's needed. My last dentist lied to me and told me that I had eight cavities. I was very scared going into my appointment but she quickly calmed me down and told me that I only had one. I really appreciate her honesty. Good dentists are hard to come by and I highly recommend her. She has excellent payment plans and also offers a plan for people without insurance. Me and my sister came here twice for regular clean up first off she got here late, second of all shes very rough, third when i told her not to be so rough she was very rude , she halfway does things because she has other patients so she rushes. Dr. Tummala is, by far, the BEST dentist I have ever had! As a child I had a lot of teeth problems resulting in too many trips to the dentist. It was an awful experience. As an adult, I had to wear braces twice! Needless to say, my fear of going to the dentist was very high! Therefore, I had not been in a long time. When I met Dr. Tummala, I explained to her my high anxiety. Even for a cleaning! She could not have been kinder and more understanding. She uses sedation dentistry which removes any fear and her techniques are completely painless! During a procedure, she is always asking if I am ok. She is a dentist who really does care about her patients. I also appreciate that she is open on Saturdays. It's convenient and I don't have to take time off work. Now I actually look forward to going to the dentist! But only if it's Dr. Tummala! read more

Dr Tummala is AWESOME!! Took my 6 and 3 year old to another dentist and was told one of my boys had 12 cavities and possibly a baby root canal (even though he had no paid). I called Meyerland Family Dentistry and scheduled an apt with Dr Tummala to get a second opinion and boy was I glad I did! They were able to see us promptly and they were even able to accommodate a last minute change to our scheduled apt. Staff was very friendly and the office was nice and clean. Dr Tummala saw both of my boys and from the start made us feel very comfortable. Unlike the other Dr who said my son needed extensive work, Dr Tummala was honest with us and only recommended work that was needed (which was less than half of what the other Dr had told us). By the way her prices are very reasonable!! You MUST giver her a try!!!! read more
