We had great difficulty with customer service re: Boston Iron Group. FYI, it wasn't mentioned…read moreduring our initial estimate, but it's standard for them to complete painting touch up on site when they deliver your railing. I questioned the workers doing this as it was about to rain, but they assured me that it would be fine. We had a downpour within one hour of them painting and sure enough, the paint job suffered. I had to contact Aylton, the owner, repeatedly for 6 weeks before the painting was finally touched up. There were many weather days when painting was not an option, but the company didn't try to fulfill their promise of correcting things in a timely manner or without my constant reminding. I recommend looking elsewhere for your railing needs.

I'm having to replace about half of a cedar fence installed by Reliable after only 6 years. Posts…read morewere cut short and buried only 18", most with only 1 bag of concrete or less, only surrounding the post about halfway, so they came loose. Panels too close to the ground have rotted. Steel bars were hammered in next to some posts and bolted on, so that tells me these posts were too wobbly to support the fence right from the start. They should have dug them up and done it right. Even doing it right on 1/2 of the posts would have been enough to support the fence, but they cut corners on EVERY post.

I hired Axel Landscaping Company to replace a fence post and two panels. Per our agreement, all…read morematerials were to be pressure-treated wood. When the installer, Axel, arrived, I asked him several times to verify the material, and he repeatedly confirmed the material was pressure-treated while on-site. The following day, a neighbor who is a contractor informed me that the panels installed are actually untreated pine. That has also been confirmed by Home Depot employee. I contacted Axel to request that he fulfill the original contract by installing the correct pressure-treated panels. While he acknowledged the discrepancy, he refused to rectify the situation. I will never hire Axel company again. The fence post is covered with a lot of mildew. Axel has used the cheapest materials.
