From day one, they parked their huge open flatbed in front of my house in a red zone. A smaller truck brought loads of concrete up to dump into the flatbed. No one was wetting down the concrete, and the dust was SO bad that my daughter had an asthma attack and had to go to urgent care. In addition, though this may seem like a small thing, they ruined about 6 feet of my landscaping by destroying it with the truck. I politely asked the driver to move the truck out of the red zone and he laughed in my face. I called the company and left multiple messages for the owner to call me, to no avail. I wrote an email that the company never answered. I finally had to use taxpayer dollars to call the police, who came out and made them move. The rudeness. The ineptness of using an open flatbed and not even wetting down the concrete. The lack of communication from the company after multiple calls and an email. They handled all the aspects of communication with the City of LA Grading department and were on top of any issues that came up. Removing a pool and regrading the hillside is messy work, but they cleaned up after completing everything. And the crew kept the work site tidy at the end of each day.
