Even though we were not able to get an appointment, the staff worked us in as a walk-in. The nurse, Georgia, was so welcoming she made my daughter feel right at ease immediately, The doctor we saw took his time with us and made a special effort to connect with our daughter during the office visit. Our prescriptions were sent across the street electronically to the local pharmacy and were ready within 10 minutes of our office visit. Dr Lanson is still old school--in a good way! You don't find many physicians that still do hands on examinations. Some of the newer physicians I've seen in practice are very hands off. Dr Lanson's schedule is a busy one, but I feel that I am able to get an appointment with him in the same week that I call. It may not be the same day, but they try to accommodate you to the best of their ability. He sees patients in Lihue Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and half day on Friday. On Thursday, he is in their Princeville clinic, serving the residents of the north shore of Kaua'i as well as visitors that need to be seen for any unforeseen circumstance while on vacation but not needing emergency room services.
