I didn't care as much about resolution, upgraded speaker quality, etc. as it was a little-used television that I listened to more than watched while working on projects. I am not really tech savvy (nearly everything I was looking for was what my wife told me I needed, as I have trouble just getting the remotes to work) so I decided to come here first. The person I talked to was very helpful. He showed me a couple of televisions that would work but one was way more expensive than I needed (his words actually) and the other was so basic that various apps couldn't be installed onto it. He apologized but couldn't recommend spending a lot on a tv here when a cheap Asian import at Walmart would work a lot better. I appreciated his honesty and advice. If I need a really nice television, I will trust the people here.

Revealing to the public my satisfaction or dissatisfaction with products or services is simply not my style. And I tend to be skeptical when I see reviews that fall at the extreme end at either side of the spectrum. I promised myself that if/when the time came that I would offer a review, it would have to be for one phenomenal or horrendous business. So now I am about to pen my first review. We'd been having trouble with our shower sliding doors for months. My solution, much to my wife's ire, was to simply maneuver them back and forth by brute force. Well on Sunday (February 4, 2024) the doors would no longer budge. Seems that I had been pushing them so hard that the came off their tracks. And the top of the door unit popped out as well. Thankfully we have two other bathrooms so I wouldn't be left taking Monday's shower at Planet Fitness. We checked the internet for businesses that seemed to be equipped to handle repairs or, worst case scenario, install a whole new unit. One looked as good as the other, so we settled on National Glass & Aluminum. I emailed the establishment Sunday afternoon. I received a phone call mid-morning Monday requesting photos of the unit, my address and phone number. Scott arrived at about 2:00 pm that same day. A very personable and professional guy. He went upstairs to our master bedroom where the culprit was in residence. At this point I was expecting word that the unit was beyond repair and a replacement would cost me thousands. After taking a good look at the unit, which again, I thought was on life support. Scott said, "no problem, I can fix it." About 15 minutes later Scott returned telling me the job was done. I went upstairs and the doors worked as good as new (better). The price? Well beyond reasonable. Impressive, to say the least! Trust me, folks, National is the real deal. If you need any work or product that involves their products or services, don't waste your time with a google search. There's only one call you need to make: National Glass & Aluminum!

It was 4PM on a Friday night and I had an issue with my Nest Thermostat suddenly shutting off and…read morelosing heat from my furnace on one of the coldest weeks of the year. Called around to several HVAC companies and most were closing at 5pm or wanted to schedule me the following morning due to an incoming snow storm (2024 Winter really sucked this year). To my surprise, a friend of mine recommended Northside Mechanical, a local private company, who were there within an hour and resolving my issue shortly afterward. He came back on Tuesday with a permanent fix and we started talking about updating my HVAC system and hot water heater. Not only was the price reasonable for an emergency call, but I received a GREAT QUOTE for a more efficient HVAC system that includes Air Conditioning (my prior system was heat only), and an updated, more-efficient hot water heater (the old one was rusting and on its way out). A couple weeks later, Andrew was here with his partner working on my HVAC system and had it all done in a few hours. They came back a few days later to do the hot water heater, and they'll be back in a month to work on the Air Conditioning unit after the snow melts. They guys were kind and professional, very knowledgeable, and it's the first time I felt like I was getting real honest answers without unnecessary up-sells for things I don't need! I highly recommend Northside Mechanical Heating & Air Conditioning for everything mentioned above and will definitely call them back for any other HVAC needs I have moving forward.
