If you visit Busch Gardens as often as I do then you know some tricks of the trade. One of them is where to get the best ice-cream in the park. Without a doubt Josephine's Creamery in my opinion is the best! Located in France right outside the entrance to the Griffin ride and a gift shop kiosk. There is an outdoor patio with several tables, not all have umbrellas to assist with sun and today it would be shielding from rain. Outside of the area was clean. Inside is a walk up only, on interior seats. Order and pay up front, then they make your treat in the back. Lots of variety of waffle sundaes, large sundae party boats, cones, shakes and smoothies. But what makes it the best in my opinion is the fact that the proof is in the pudding, in this case the quality of ice-cream. They use everything Ghirardelli to make your special cool yum treat. Expect to pay more than the other places in the park duet to the quality of product. Make sure you use your season pass for a 10% discount. Our family has been coming to Busch Gardens Williamsburg for around 10 years and at some point switched over to Ghirardelli making is the superior joint for ice-cream in the park. It appeared they were training up front today with a manager shadowing the gal at the cash register. She did great, but it slowed things down. The staff in the back making the sundaes hustled to get out our order and did a great job with a smile on their face. Today it was aCookies and Cream, Mint delight, Chocolate Shakes and Strawberry smoothie. Everyone enjoyed, but my complaint was too much whip topping if you can believe. I know others would love this, but it seemed the shake was only filled up 3/4 and rest whip. I look forward to a return trip to Busch Gardens in a few weeks. I cannot imagine Josephine not being a stop, especially with the heat of the Summer coming up and a cool sundae tasting so good.

Excellent creamery inside Busch Gardens in the country of France. There are a bunch of sundaes such as: skillet cookie, chocolate chip cookie dough, peanut butter, cookies and cream, banana split, mint delight, turtle, strawberry shortcake, brownie, or the Josephine special. I chose the banana split which was a very generous size: three scoops of ice cream (chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry), banana, pineapple, strawberries, nuts, whipped cream, and cherries. Amazing. Prices range from $8-9 a sundae. This place offers all Ghirardelli ice cream.

two ice cream sundaes on a table

I think Josephine's two greatest things are the appearance of their sundaes and the amount you get in one. If you are a couple you can certainly share one sundae! My husband and I weren't able to finish either of ours. The prices are a bit expensive, but everything is inside Busch gardens so that is to be expected. There is a nice seating area if you go out the back doors inside Josephine's. Not many people seemed to know about it. My only two complaints were there were many things in the sundae I ordered that weren't suppose to be in there according to the menu. So I'm not sure what happened there? Also, the staff was a bit rude to my husband and I and it does take about 10 minutes to get your ice cream and that's on a slower day. I imagine it's worse on a busy day.

There is parking right next to the building or a pay to park parking lot across the street. The first two hours in the lot are free. ***EXPERIENCE*** We ordered the lychee oolong tea and the matcha milk tea with crystal boba and mango. My lychee oolong tea tasted just like fresh lychee! I will say it's brewed on the stronger side, so was a bit more bitter than I was hoping, but it was really refreshing. This is a wonderful spot to get some work done. They have strong wifi and lots of outlets. I appreciate the natural lighting in this space. ***PRICE*** Depending on what type and size of drink you get, prices range from $5-8. ***BATHROOM*** This spot shares a bigger building with other businesses. There isn't a bathroom in the actual Secret Garden space, but if you exit through their bigger building, you can find Women and Men restrooms not too far away. There are a few stalls in the Womens. ***CONCLUSION*** There is an extensive list of things you can order here! There is something for everyone. It's a great spot to meet up with a friend and get some work done.

Yesterday around 3:30 p.m., my family and I stopped by one of our favorite ice cream shops, The Big…read moreScoop, and we were truly impressed by Courtney. From the moment we walked in, she greeted us with a warm smile and outstanding customer service. Although she was the only employee working, she handled everything with professionalism, efficiency, and grace. There were already three families enjoying their ice cream when we arrived, and while we were there, she served our family along with three additional families--all while scooping ice cream, operating the cash register, and keeping things running smoothly. I asked if she was always scheduled to work alone, and she mentioned that another employee was supposed to arrive at 3:00 p.m. By the time we left around 4:20 p.m., she was still managing the entire shop by herself without ever losing her positive attitude or composure. Courtney deserves recognition for her incredible work ethic, professionalism, and dedication. In a time when great customer service can be hard to find, she set an outstanding example. Thank you, Courtney, for making our visit such a wonderful experience. The Big Scoop is fortunate to have someone like you representing their business!

Yelp was spot on! The employees were SOOOO friendly and inviting. They were all smiles, let my daughter ask all the questions, and just pleasant to work with.
