Note - the special flavors that they are really are special. We came in and I had something purple with Nutella in it. Holy smokes it was so delicious. The family was jealous that I had it. I said we'll come back tomorrow and get some. Came in the next day - poof.. all gone.. new special. HOWEVER - make sure you take a moment to inspect what's in the fridge. I got the signature Turtle Sundae and it was absolute perfection--creamy vanilla custard layered with rich caramel, hot fudge, and crunchy pecans. Every bite was better than the last. My wife tried the pistachio custard and it was incredibly smooth with just the right amount of nutty flavor--definitely one of the best pistachio desserts we've had anywhere. Our kiddo went for the Dirt 'n Worms sundae and was in heaven--gummy worms, crushed Oreos, and delicious chocolate custard all in one fun (and kid-approved) treat. I have absolutely loved frozen custard ever since first having a Kohr's custard cone at Seaside Heights, NJ as a kid, and The Meadows gave me an opportunity to relive that joy with their fantastic custards and outstanding service. Visited with my parents recently just to give it a try since they live in the Williamsburg area now. Their parking lot is quite small but there are adjacent lots if needed. Once inside, we were pleasantly greeted by the cashier and she explained the menu to us, and we all tried different kinds of their flagship item: custard! It didn't take too long to get our order and, since it was a nice day, we enjoyed our custards at one of their outside tables. I had the chocolate custard with strawberry chunks and it was beyond fantastic, absolutely worth returning for. My parents also enjoyed their choices (vanilla and regular chocolate), and I think The Meadows made three converts today. We'll be back for sure! I found it online while in the area for brunch last weekend and we came over for a snack before heading out of town for the hour drive back to VAB. No line inside and staff were friendly, our order was up very quickly. Flavor of the day was Cookie Monster which was dyed blue with chunks of Oreo and cookie dough inside. Tons of mix-ins and the mini/small was plenty big enough for my husband and I to share as a snack. Really creamy and delicious. This will likely be a stop-off every time we come to town from now on! One of the restrooms was out of order so I did stand in line for about 10 minutes just to pee and wash my hands while my ice cream waited on the table for me. Sad face. Get that fixed! Absolutely love this place. Went all the time when in Williamsburg and they have a drive thru which was great. They have different flavors that they highlight all the time and me and my sister had ordered their raspberry cheesecake ice cream which was a new highlight flavor during the time. It had big chunks of cheesecake in it and the raspberry flavor was so fresh and delicious. They quickly made our orders and we didn't have to sit at the drive thru window for longer than 3-5 mins. We went here after dinner as I really wanted to try this place out. It was Tuesday and they were having a special of $4 dollars per medium custard which is normall $5.67. You get the custard with the frozen ice on it which was very creative. I got the coconut with the pina colada while my wife got the cherry and vanilla. It was so good and my wife could not finish it, so I helped her out, but I had to take another long walk to burn it all off. I got the chocolate almond in a waffle cone - "mini," so-called, because it was a generous portion. The next size up (small) was 9 ounces of frozen custard so I opted for the mini. Plenty. But SO good!! My husband grew up in Rochester, NY with Abbott's Frozen Custard; chocolate almond is their specialty and it's always been the best treat we could ever find. It was a little crazy in there when we got there and their ordering system is not so great. They have tablets that you can place your order which made it a little bit harder to maneuver around. Prices are fairly decent and the portion size are fairly big. They have several people working there so we didn't have to wait too long for our orders.
