Took my 01 sequoia in for some major work, (timing belt/water pump, serp belt & tensioners and valve cover gasket) they had it done in a little bit less than a week. They did it all for a very good price and did very clean work. After about 3 days of commuting my check engine came on and gave an evap system code. I took it back to them assuming it would be something they disconnected and under warranty. They initially quoted me for an evap system test with the promise that if they found the problem was related to their work I wouldn't be charged, but after taking my car in quickly found that it was just a friction fit hose that had expanded over time. They offered to put a hose clamp on it for free and the problem has not come back since then. I'm very happy with their customer service read more

This is a shop that cares. I'm glad I came back to write this review because it's hard to find a shop where they back up their work and show they want to make sure you drive away happy. I had my harmonic balancer replaced march 2025, and unfortunately it failed in May. Joseph's has outstanding customer service and they stand behind their work! We had my Jeep's water pump fixed back in April. My husband looked under the hood last week to find something had been leaking. He said it looked like it had to do with the water pump so he contacted Joseph's and without question or hesitation asked my husband to bring it in asap. Joseph's said if it was a defected water pump that they would replace it free of charge. Fast forward, it was defected piece. They changed it free of charge. They could've easily said, "no, it's been too long, or no, it wasn't a defected piece" (and charged us for it) but being the honest business they are owned up to their mistake. I went in cause I had a check engine light on. I told the mechanics there that I had the intake manifold serviced at another shop before and that the light had come on that time as well. The guys there diagnosed the car and said it looked like it was the intake manifold again and that it was probably still under warranty from the previous shop which it was. Overall I feel the guys at the shop were honest and upfront with me and I appreciate that they let me know I could get it serviced possibly for free at another shop. Impressive reviews, so I called and scheduled an appointment on Friday for a smog check on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. I showed up 5 minutes early and was told that they couldn't do the smog check because the smog technician hadn't shown up for work or let them know when he might arrive. Customer Beware: 8/26/2020: I took my vehicle in to have a diagnosis done regarding a ticking noise coming from under the hood. They agreed to diagnose it. Fast forward a full week later on 9/4/2020 and they advised me everything was ok and the vehicle runs good. Paid $105.00 (again, paid it when I dropped it off on 8/26/2020), and drove it home.. 20 mins later the check engine light came on, hood started smoking, oil leaking, and electronic throttle control light came on... Mind you none of these issues ever presented themselves prior to leaving my car to them for a full week for a diagnosis... Also, to make it worse, then tell me everything is fine and the only thing they did was put miles on it and drive it around and let it idle for long periods... Absolutely un acceptable. I will file a complaint with BBB. I do not recommend this shop at all. read more

Can't thank AJ enough for the personal and professional work he completed. Worse case scenario as my alternator failed in the middle of a 1,500 road trip picking up a SDSU student. We were not from the area, there was a storm pouring rain in buckets, we had to get the student before 5 ( dorms shut down for the COVID-19) and AJ calmly assessed the issue, got it fixed THEN ran through the car ( checking oil, air the tires, and even fixed a choppy throttle for free) AND then gave his number to call to make sure I finished the trip safely!!!!!
