When I was dress shopping this was my second place I had been to so i had experienced another…read morehighly popular dress shop appointment. My appointment with Georgette was so great! She was so friendly and so much more interactive than the "chain" bridal shop I had been to. I had shown her a few photos of different dresses I liked and explained exactly what I did not want. She came back with 4 dresses and the very first one I tried I absolutely loved! I did try on all her options she presented and I had seen a dress I inquired about but she advised it was out of my budget. She didn't push that dress and we did end up trying it on for fun but she was transparent the price couldn't go down so I appreciate that she was honest and not a pushy saleswoman. Turns out the very first dress I tried on this appointment was the dress I ended up picking. She nailed it from the first dress. The dress needed some adjustment as it was completely see through on the waist and she showed us options to line it with a nice fabric so my skin wouldn't be exposed. I felt so comfortable knowing we can fix the dress and adjust how we wanted with very little pushback. She offered her expertise and knowledge on how to fix the dress the best way. My alteration appointment was very straight to the point and the tailor had a lot of experience. My dress did need some second alterations as there was some corset type material poking into my skin causing discomfort and she was very nice about how to make the dress more comfortable When it was time to pick up my dress Georgette was so great with helping my mom understand the bustle process and was very thorough and kind. She provided so many helpful tips and really cared about the interaction. She didn't rush us out Great experience! Great staff! And great dress selections!

Unfortunately, the overall experience left us feeling uncomfortable rather than excited, which was disappointing for such an important moment. One concern was that additional tariff and tip charges were added at checkout without being clearly disclosed beforehand. For a dress already costing several thousand dollars, that felt unexpected and not very transparent. During the alterations appointment, we also overheard the owner on the phone referring to another client as a "nightmare client," which changed the atmosphere for us. Later, while the dress was being pinned, we were told several stories about brides who had problems after using outside alteration services. While that may have been intended as advice, it came across more as pressure to keep alterations in-house. We were then quoted approximately $1,200 for fairly limited alterations on a $3,000 dress -- mainly taking it in at the waist and hemming the length. After speaking with someone experienced in bridal alterations, we were told that quote seemed quite high for the work being done. The staff itself was pleasant, and everything will work out fine in the end, but we walked away feeling more pressured than celebrated. IThe owner could take some customers lessons from her staff. I wish the experience had felt warmer, more transparent, and more focused on making the bride feel special during what should have been a joyful experience.

Marina at Le Caprice is a lifesaver!…read more I ordered a Vivienne Westwood gown from a very popular bridal shop. When I tried it on during pickup, I knew something was off. It took 3 stylists just to hook the dress together before it could be zipped up. I had not gained any weight since ordering, and the dress felt like it had been ordered a size too small. The stylist who was helping me put on the dress kept reassuring me that the gown had a hard corset, and because it was strapless, it was meant to fit that tightly. Well before my actual wedding, I had my courthouse ceremony... I needed a lot of help to get the dress hooked on, and when it came time to drive to the courthouse, I couldn't even sit up. I had to lean the car seat all the way back in order to make it to the courthouse. The entire afternoon I was so uncomfortable that I didn't even want to drink water. After that experience, I brought my dress to Marina at Le Caprice. She took one look at my back and didn't even bother zipping me up. She assured me that my dress was too small, that it was not just in my head, and offered to remove the zipper and replace it with a corset back! I was nervous because I really loved the top part of my dress and how snatched it made my waist look, but when I received my dress it still looked just as perfect! Not only that, but I was completely comfortable in it when I was sitting and eating at my reception (: Marina was able to complete the alterations super fast at a fair price and I think the corset was elegantly executed. I highly recommend coming to Le Caprice!

I also wanted to emphasize some curves and add extra lift to the girls~ All the above was done without an issue! I was also allowed to schedule in quick try ons to see an alternate bustle option and if my veil matched well. The staff was professional, honest, and thorough with answering my questions. My dress and veil were steamed before pick up, and I was glowing on my wedding day

I said I needed it by Saturday in the morning. No problem. When I walked in, she was busy taking measurements on a customer, while another waited. I asked if she wanted me to come back since she was busy. Yes. So, I ran errands for about an hour and went back. I showed the seamstress my dress and told her I just wanted the dress taken up to the slip. She protested and said she would need to take up the slip as well because it would show. (Not if she hemmed it a 1/2 inch below the slip) I asked how much for both. I heard $17 and thought, "Great!" But, when I repeated 17, she corrected me and said $70!!! What? It's just a simple jersey-knit. No beads or lace or anything. A plain, simple dress that didn't even cost that much. I went to Kyoto Cleaners located right across from them and she charged only $20 for both.
