This is a long review. Our experience is Josh lies to bait and switch. My husband spoke to him on the phone LAST WEEK (putting that in all caps so you remember that time frame specifically.) My husband told Josh that his car is a ******* (redacting the make & model so he doesn't harass us for this review) to which Josh replied "thats a really nice car. You really should get ceramic tint." My husband asked him for the pricing & he said regular tint would be around $280 and ceramic tint would be around $400. So my husband said what the hell, ceramic it is. Why not if it is only around $120 more. That seems like a really good deal. Lie 1. The pricing. The day before his appointment Josh text my husband that the quote is higher. A whopping $525 for ceramic tint. When my husband asked why the price jump he explained there are grades in ceramic tint, of which he failed to explain originally. From the conversation they had it was regular for $280 and ceramic for $400. The conversation never was regular tint for $280, $400 mid grade ceramic, & $525 for premium. So basically he tried to swindle my husband into a higher grade tint with a much higher price tag than what was quoted. The fact that Josh waited until the day before his appointment to pull this nonsense is beyond frustrating. Let me be clear, it isnt like we don't understand that things cost money & it may cost more for better quality. But why not be honest up front? Why wait until the appointment to be clear about pricing? Furthermore Josh also said that the pricing was different due to the make & model of the vehicle which leads me to Lie 2. Josh said he heard the make & model wrong so the pricing is different today than it was last week. Um. You had the wherewithal to compliment my husbands vehicle but didn't know what the vehicle was when making a quote not even 5 mins later? Make that make sense. Lie # 3 is the kicker. Get your popcorn ready and remember the caps wording from before. Lie 3. He says he doesn't recall talking to my husband because he hasn't done regular tint for 2 months. 2 months?? So weird, considering my husband discussed just doing regular tint, Drum roll please.......LAST WEEK! Mind you, we have the call log to prove it. Oh. And to top it off he says we only does regular tint on SUVs. So which is it? You either do regular tint or you don't. And before people say he could have been confused about my husbands car and thought it was an SUV. My husband has a pretty popular vehicle that has been around for 30+ years so there would definitely not be confusion on what the type of vehicle it is. It would be similar to thinking a Toyota Camry is an SUV. No one would think that.
This is just bad business. If your word doesn't mean anything, why would we trust you to work on our vehicle? He could very well put regular tint on the vehicle, call it ceramic and charge us $525. Because how the hell would we know the difference?
Now after reviewing his negative reviews on Google & how he responds to them it is clear he isn't a "good guy" as other reviewers would say. Reviews don't lie and how a business responds to criticism matters. I, like many others, sort reviews low to high. I read through all the reviews. I don't pay attention to the very obvious complainers, let's face it some people are never happy, but nonetheless every response from the owner Josh was unprofessional, some flat out disrespectful, some retaliatory, etc. His true colors come out when people aren't satisfied with his work. So buyer beware. If you decide to use this business & are unhappy be prepared to assume all responsibility for his wrong doings because he will blame the customer & avoid taking accountability. Because after all, he is "the best in the area" per his own words. I highly recommend looking at his responses to negative feedback on Google. You may think twice.
To Josh: don't bait & switch by quoting one price & changing it the day before an appointment. People budget for things like this & nowadays every dollar counts. Don't be dishonest to new clientele, if you don't want to do regular tint just say so. It really is that simple. Also, you need to learn how to take criticism & don't comment snarky, unprofessional & downright disrespectful responses. It isnt a good look. People read them. Had I done so before my husband wasted his time with you, I would have warned him to stay away from your company. You are exactly how you respond to people when they aren't happy. You could avoid situations like this if you were upfront & honest. Your arrogance will catch up to you one day. It always does. Everything you have now you could lose in a heartbeat. Be humble. Let me be clear, this isn't a threat. Better businessman before you, who had your attitude, have lost everything. You aren't exempt.
I hope with this review it will either help Josh to be a better businessman or it steers people away from such a negative experience. Time will tell. read more
