They made me feel like a bad dog mom b/c i didn't know they exact date my country dog was mated with or how many times. The vet's nurse was trying to reprimanding me in the middle of the office area with everyone else listening and it was quit unnerving. I also asked for an xray or something to show how many puppies she had in there and they wouldn't do it. I will not be going back to this place as they have utter disrespect for the people and honestly I don't feel like they respect the animals either. If I could give zero stars I would. Even my daughter felt a bad vibe just being in there as well. read more

I highly recommend Dr Suzy and her clinic. We were traveling through the area when our Yorkie got sick with a bladder infection and his diabetes was out of control. Dr. Suzy took him right in even though we had no appointment. She gave him the necessary urine and blood test and had us come back for a second blood draw at the end of the day to check his sugar level and gave us an antibiotic or his infection. She really puts her heart in her work. We were so thankful to have found such a caring doctor when we were strangers in this state. read more

Absolutely terrible customer service. I had a cat who has a respiratory illness, he was suffering and I called today to ask if we could bring him in asap to euthanize him. I was put on hold for over 3 minutes then told that the earliest appointment was next week. A Little compassion would have gone a long way.....I will never use this vet or waste my time calling. These is what veterinary medicine should be. Stewart and Lobe are exceptional, personal and experienced. They NEVER clover charge me or try to do treatments that are outrageous. They ALWAYS take time to listen and talk to me. I went to them on a fluke accident for one of my dogs, have moved out of the area and still drive 30 minutes to go to them. They took such great care of my precious baby before and during his final years. Not to mention the kindness they showed me during his passing. read more

I used Dr. Suzy and Dr. Jobe for 2 years and it started off really good. However, I had a senior dog who had been on some meds for over 8 years and I always ordered them from a Veterinary mail order pharmacy to save some money. When I lived in OKL my vet encouraged me to do that because she said I was getting it cheaper than she could even buy it. But Dr. Suzy did not like refilling my prescriptions and reminded me not once, but on 2 different occasions that she too had to pay bills and staff! Really? I should have left then realizing she was interested in the bottom line more. She mis diagnosed my senior with diabetes and even had me giving her insulin. When she was trying to make that diagnosis with a blood glucose curve I had asked her to call me because I could not pick my senior dog up from the clinic that day, so my husband did and he was not interested in trying to relay the info. She never called me back. So I called the next day, no return call, then I called weekly for 2 weeks and was assured by her staff that she would call and never did she. So that was it for me. She lacked the courtesy to do what she promised me she would do....call and discuss the test results. My new vet re ran the blood glucose curve and disagreed with her diagnosis, by the lab numbers she was NOT a diabetic. So I weaned her off insulin and 2 months later she is doing better than she has been in 2 years. I can not recommend that clinic. read more

I love this clinic. It is clear that the 2 vets, Dr. Stewart and Dr. Jobe truly love animals. They are smart and made good decisions for my kitties. They are up-to-date with the latest research in veterinary medicine, and will contact the vet school at Texas A&M if they need to. The vet techs are very friendly, as are the front desk staff. This is the closest vet to my house, so I had high hopes that we'd have a somewhat decent relationship. First - their receptionist/office manager is rude. I wondered if it was just me but my neighbor confirmed he had a similar experience. I ran a dog rescue for a long time and I make very informed decisions about what is best for my (many) pets. She "told me how it was" regarding a county law - which she was actually incorrect about. When we had an emergency situation with one of our pets, the staff was rude to my husband when he showed up without an appointment. Our senior bulldog was obviously in distress yet the staff let him wait 1.5 hours before he saw the vet. The vet then suggested a number of expensive tests which had just been completed 2 days before, and had a completely different treatment plan and prognosis from the emergency vet who had been caring for our dog for the previous 2 days. I understand different approaches to care, but since we aren't the average pet owners, I also know bs when I hear it. We've been through many very serious emergencies with rescue animals we've cared for. We ended up declining treatment from Joshua and went to Alsbury Animal Hospital instead. We've had nothing but wonderful experiences there, so it's worth the extra 20 minute drive for me to see a vet I trust. read more

lost all of my respect for this place. Been bringing my dogs here since 2016, never thought they were the friendliest here but they take good care my dogs. Called them today(monday) because my 14 year old mastiff was clearly going down hard and started to struggle breathing, so i called and said i needed to bring him up there so he can not suffer anymore and be put down. I was told "we dont have any appointments until Wednesday" and I said, i think we are not on the same page, my dog is dying and i just want him put down so he's not hurting. I said we can do it in the back of my truck if needed i just dont want to have to shoot him. Basically told to go kick rocks. Had to drive an extra 30 minutes to an emergency vet while my dog suffered just to receive a service that is done at any clinic. Think its time i find a new vet. Disappointing. Theyre in the business of helping animals, and they chose to let one suffer longer than he needed too. Went to burleson emergency vet, they rushed him back and allowed him to be a peace. read more

Dr. Jobe knows her stuff and I appreciated her work with my dog except she refuses to stick to our planned treatment process. And won't talk to me about it when I call so I can ask questions. The Hispanic male assistant is wonderful. The rest of the staff is nothing more than rude and that is usually who you deal with. You aren't acknowledged when you come in and you aren't quite sure if they are working on getting you processed or not. I had surgery and let my dog board at their facility and my mother had to drop off food and they ignored her. We think the fact she walked in with dog supplies made her look like a salesman so they were rude on purpose. I can't believe the owners of this clinic are okay with how the other assistants and the receptionist treat their paying customers. read more

Absolutely terrible! They offer sweet sounding promises over the phone to lure you in only to flimflam you once they have your pet in hand, and try to guilt-trip you into unnecessary and expensive services and products. Their charges are mysteriously added and subtracted without informed consent or even an explanation. My latest invoice is not even in the same ballpark as the prices promised over the phone. The first time we encountered them was nearly 10 years ago when they advised us to spend thousands of dollars on an emergency plaque removal with a laser to keep our dog from immediately dying. We decided to try again with our new cat since a nice sounding person on the phone promised the best care for the fairest price. On our last visit, their "complementary" exam included with the vaccinations our cat needed suddenly turned into a $60 service when they 'think' they found ringworm, but rather than administer the test for it (which they said was unnecessary), they tried to strong-arm us into buying their exorbitantly priced iodine to treat said ringworm--even though we already have some at home, and Lotromin Ultra (anti-fungal medicine) is readily available over the counter at any discount drug store. We were told that our pet and my family would contract disfiguring skin lesions unless we did as they said and bough their magic potions. The impertinent office manager went so far as to insist we put our pet in a crate for THREE WEEKS until the rash went away, and questioned our parenting when we decided to seek alternative treatment with another vet. These people are criminal, and as such they've been reported to the TX Attorney General's office. Visit at your own risk! read more

I have 2 baby kittens that we have treated at Joshua animal clinic. I drive from Fort Worth to Joshua for the kittens visits. Although there are other comments on here complaining about pricing, Joshua animal clinic was significantly less than my Fort Worth vet or the Cat speciality clinic on hulen. I called to get full projected cost (quotes) for all kittens vaccinations to the 6 month mark as well as projected neuter/spay cost at 4 different clinics prior to taking them to their first routine check-up. Joshua animal clinic had the best price. We have had wonderful service and vet is extremely knowledgeable. The front office scheduling is still done on a paper system, which is sort of old fashion, but we are talking about a more rural vet center vs city vet. Each time my kittens are due for a check up and vaccinations I receive a phone call reminder from a real human rather than a text message or computer generated reminder, which I greatly appreciate. read more

I just moved to Joshua and needed a vet. My aging dog started to act strange and I brought him in. Dr Stewart confused me because she kept changing her plan for my dog. She kept talking about how expensive the tests were going to be and maybe I wouldn't want to do them because my dog is old. I brought him back a week later for a follow up visit and again she was bringing up money. It isn't for her to decide what my dog is worth or how much I have in my bank account. He was a little bit better and she changed the plan again. I asked to have the instructions written out so I would remember everything correctly and she did. Then she called me at home to check on him and then changed the plan one more time. Between all the talk about expenses and her not being sure how to treat him, I took him back to my old vet AN HOUR away and they have been awesome as usual. They're good with the animals however they OVER CHARGE. I started going to this vet when I got a puppy cause it was on my way home from work so I stopped by and started using them. Recently I found a local vet that charged half the price. And I didn't have to make multiple visits. Dr. Suzy and her wonderful team have been my vet for over 20 years. I volunteer in animal rescue, so I've seen a lot of vet bills and treatment plans in my day. I'm surprised to hear anyone complain about price, because I've never seen more down-to-earth approaches that are still in the best interest of the animal. There have been times more has been recommended, and times where I was told I could spend a lot of money without affecting the outcome. And with all the animals we've had (which are many because we rescue seniors) I've always fully trusted the answers I've received when I asked "what would you do if it was your pet?" Every staff member there does great work and cares for the animals too. And I have never seen anything done or recommended that wasn't in the best interest of the animal. I understand everyone has different experiences and expectations, but all my pets have seen these Doctors for years. I had an elderly Shitzu with horrific allergies who suffered her whole life. They tried everything under the sun to make her as comfortable as possible till her last breath there. They also stayed late and waited for me to bring my chihuahua in when I came home from work and she was pouring blood from both ends. They saved her life. Money is important but shouldn't be the only deciding factor in taking care of your pets. read more
