I started coming to LiAnn about 5months ago. I live in Orange County and found her after I called several other places that don't do ethnic hair. It is sooooo hard to find salons that do ethnic hair in the OC. This salon is not the cheapest, but it offers the best quality in hair service and is worth every dime. I wasn't initially going to come to LiAnn, but she called me back and told me I should really give her a try. Her passion is helping people achieve healthy hair. She is really helpful in giving tips for hair that has been damaged by perms, weaves, or breakage. If you haven't had LiAnn style your hair I recommend at least try her once because you won't be disappointed. I also like that's she's really gentle with my hair. With other stylist I get burned (literally), but she has a way of getting close to the scalp without it feeling super hot. I have major OCD especially when it comes to my hair. I trust very and i mean VERY few stylist out there, but I definitely trust Martin. He does a phenomenal job at making sure you are extremely satisfied. Had my hair done on June 12, 2012. Wanted to do something crazy since I was going to Thailand for a month, so I went from black to shocking red. Martin did an absolutely amazing job. This review is for liann: Being mixed raced I have always been very scared about who worked on my hair. After doing much research & reading great reviews about liann I called her up right away. She was super friendly & was able to fit me that same week. I was looking to have my hair flat ironed without it costing an arm & a leg. Once I arrived at my appointment she suggest I went with a press & curl given my hair type & the result I wanted. From past experience using a stove iron I was very worried because I've had my hair scorched left with a terrible burnt smell, BUT she put my mind at ease right away. At the end of my appointment my hair was shiny, smooth and silky. No scorching or burnt smell AT ALL!!! The next day at Disney I was constantly asked if my hair was real. I cannot thank liann enough for the amazing job she did. The only regret I have is not taking a before & after photo. Next time!! read more

After searching the Internet, I came across Joshua Christopher Salon And Spa in Fullerton/Orange County, I have drove by this place so many times not knowing this Salon was there, I then went to Yelp that's when I saw the name LiAnn through out the reviews I spent an hour reading I said let me called her for a consultation, I did, afterwards made my appointment she recommended the Amino Acid Treatment, she did the treatment, cut trimmed my hair OMG my hair was totally awesome LiAnn is amazing at her job the girl got skills she cares about hair health explains how to take care of your hair LiAnn told me my scalp was dry recommended I get a deep condition, she aims to please and she's not pushy she's very patient too, I was impressed how she used the Marcel Irons she is so sweet we had lots of laughs I felt like I've known her for a while, before I left she made sure I knew the services that were offered at the Salon & Spa LiAnn your the best, I say to all you girly's with curly hair give LiAnn a call you won't be disappointed!! I have been going to this salon for awhile now but wanted to try the "Brazilian Blowout." I asked my stylist John Paul if he could recommend somebody and he suggested I see Joshua. I had this process done 2 days ago and I have to say.....I LOVE IT! I have very wavy hair and it is always such a process to blow dry and flat iron....it takes me at least 40 minutes. My hair is so soft and so easy to work with now. Can't wait to see how much better it gets as time goes by and I would definitely do it again. I am very pleased with the service both my daughter and I received. Liann listened to our concerns and needs. Equally important, she studied our hair to determine its condition and applied the appropriate products and hair cut. My daughter now enjoys wearing her curly hair down and deals with less tangles. The receptionist booked me with a gentlemen and he took me right in. I was so thrilled until he touched my hair. He was so arrogant and rude. Joshua Christopher's Salon would not honor a gift certificate I had. When I called to make an appointment they connected me to Sharyl Munoz and she said that she could not fit me in before the gift certificate expired (in 2 days). I asked if another stylist could fit me in since I know that they accept walk in appointments, but she said that the certificate had to go to her. I talked to the manager, Brian, and he said that the stylists pay rent to the salon and he didn't have any authority over her. I was looking forward to trying a new salon, but I will not go to Joshua Christopher's ever. read more

I got a hair cut from a different salon and the woman completely messed it up. My hair was uneven, choppy, and missing sections. I went to see Beni at Joshua Christopher's salon to get it fixed, and he did an amazing job! I have never been so happy with a haircut before. He asked me exactly what I wanted and it came out beautifully! I did not think anybody was going to be able to fix my hair without cutting a bunch off, but Beni was able to make it even without making it short. My wife started going to Lisa Ramirez around five years ago when her old stylist essentially ruined her hair. Lisa spent the best part of half and hour talking my wife through the process of how she was going to make her hair right. My wife felt very much at ease and reassured from the very beginning, she wasn't disappointed with the end result and has been going to Lisa ever since. She does an absolutely fantastic job with not only the color but the cut. As my wife says "I just sit in the chair and Lisa does her thing." Not only is she great with women's hair, but a year or so ago I asked if she would have a go at doing my hair as I wanted to start coloring it and she does such a great job with my wife's. I was a little reticent at first but when she finished I was really pleased with the result. The color looked looks really natural (I was afraid it would look silly) and she cuts it wonderfully. So if any of you guys out there are hesitant because this appears to be a women's salon, don't be. Lisa does a fantastic job for both women AND men and I can't recommend her highly enough. The salon itself is very nice. Spacious, airy, light, clean and inviting. But a commercial building is only as good as those who work in it and Lisa is among the very best. read more

I am an out of state student at a CSU and before moving out here to California, one of biggest concerns was my hair. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find anyone that I could trust to style my hair where I would be satisfied. After a couple of unsuccessful encounters, thankfully came across this salon. I read some of the reviews and decided to go in and see Liann. I am so happy that I did! I have a pretty short cut with hair that previous stylists in CA had trouble with but Liann did great and helped me feel more like myself. I did however, end up paying much more than I expected. This could be just due to some miscommunication but I was happy with my hair. Liann was great not just at doing my hair but other aspects as well.
