I've never had any salon do this and was grateful because I hate when I feel the stylist is rushing to finish for their next appointment. I am dealing with hair loss/change in texture after getting COVID in 2022. Walking in to the salon, I was greeted warmly and offered a beverage. I got into the chair and my stylist (Alexis) spent a good amount of time asking about the products I use and my hair goals. Throughout my appointment, she shared what products she used on me and made recommendations for at home care. My water was refilled when empty and everyone I interacted with was friendly. The owner introduced himself and saw him chatting by with other clients in the salon too. I've been following the recommendations/new products for about a month now and my hair does feel softer and notice some new growth! I scheduled my next appointment before leaving and am looking forward to my next visit with Alexis. Highly recommend this salon and Alexis!

However, once I got home, I felt it was still a little bit too dark. I called to question it I was told stylist is away that she would call me back. Instead, a few days later, I was told by the owner/scheduler that they would not touch my hand for another six weeks because they were afraid of "damage" not even offered a toner. Spent a lot of money to be unhappy for six weeks. I did not like the way I was treated like I was being punished . not responsive to client at all.

First, she suggested we highlight my hair and then go over it with blue. After 3 hours at the salon, my hair was a gross green color. My entire scalp was blue and the rest of my hair were all different colors (dark brown, bright blue and green) I politely told her that it didn't come out as I hoped it would. Leah insisted that she would come in another day this week to fix it for me. This was sweet of her but I didn't live locally so driving back down would be a hassle for me. When it was time to checkout, the hairdresser Leah was standing there as I was told my total came to $145. I felt uncomfortable because I didn't want to upset anyone but I was surprised they were making me pay this amount. I left a 30$ tip for Leah despite my disappointment. Half an hour later I called the salon to speak with a manager and was told Stephanie left for the day. I gave my name and the reason for my call (inquiring about a refund). I called back the next day and was told Stephanie (the owner) was with clients, but that she would return my call. I received a voicemail 20 minutes later from Stephanie. She stated that she was aware of what happened because she spoke with Leah. She said, "This sometimes happens with funky colors" and "We don't do refunds here at the salon. It's in our policies". How would I know that this is their policy? I was never made aware of this or signed anything. I'm angry and upset that I'm not getting at least a partial refund for the hair coloring service I received and was not happy with. Although they're saying I can come back to get it fixed, I'm afraid to will look worse and become even more damaged. Be warned and take this into consideration if your thinking about getting your hair colored here.
