During my time at this facility, I witnessed conduct that compromised patient safety, violated professional standards, and created a hostile and discriminatory work environment. One of the most alarming incidents involved an inappropriate relationship between a counselor and a patient. Instead of addressing the situation transparently and in accordance with ethical and legal obligations, leadership chose to quietly remove the counselor and transfer the patient to another center. This response appeared designed to avoid accountability and potential legal consequences rather than to protect the patient or uphold organizational integrity. Such handling of a serious boundary violation raises significant concerns about the facility's commitment to safety and ethical practice. Leadership behavior within the center further contributes to an unstable and hostile environment. The director frequently responds to situations based on personal feelings toward certain employees rather than evaluating facts, policies, or the needs of the organization. Decisions often appear subjective, inconsistent, and influenced by favoritism rather than professional judgment. This lack of emotional regulation and objective leadership undermines trust and creates confusion among staff. The supervisor's conduct intensifies these issues. Her communication style regularly involves yelling, intimidation, and openly disrespectful interactions with staff. This behavior is unprofessional, destabilizing, and entirely inappropriate in a healthcare setting. Employees should not be subjected to verbal aggression or hostility, especially in an environment serving vulnerable populations who rely on staff stability and professionalism. These leadership patterns have produced a workplace that is unfair, unstable, and ethically concerning. Caseloads and expectations are distributed unevenly, with clear favoritism shown toward select employees. Counselors outside of that favored group are often overburdened, scrutinized, or dismissed when raising legitimate concerns. As a Black counselor, I observed and experienced racial bias and disparate treatment firsthand. Ethnic counselors were held to different standards, spoken to in disrespectful ways, and excluded from the same support and consideration extended to others. These were not isolated incidents but part of a broader culture that tolerated discrimination, microaggressions, and inequitable treatment. The cumulative effect of these behaviors is a workplace that lacks safety, cultural competence, transparent communication, and ethical leadership. The environment is hostile, discriminatory, and misaligned with the standards expected of a reputable behavioral health organization. These issues not only harm staff but also jeopardize the quality of care provided to patients. Indianapolis Comprehensive Treatment Center requires urgent oversight from corporate leadership to address these systemic failures, restore accountability, and rebuild a culture grounded in professionalism, fairness, and ethical responsibility.

Illegal substances onsite/inside with no corrective action unless reported. Medical and mental health malpractice; many have landed in hospitals (myself included) while others, fatalities. Abandonment in critical moments. Uneducated/indifferent nurses and staff. I've personally had multiple seizures while completely disregarded by present nurses and staff. Chacun pour soi environment. Dysfunction within counselor spec; non-compliance towards company policy. Facility won't pass safety inspection. Proper safety and compliance inspections are critical here at ictc, and in general. OSHA/ EHS/ QAI will be notified. Their corporate security must be insane to allow this place to still operate in such conditions. His therapist during the second time seeing my adult son had a doctor or therapist who had never seen my son as a patient come into the room and what he said to my son devastated him. My son came home highly upset, depressed and said that he felt bullied and shamed. I feel like no therapist should have a second party enter the room giving opinions and or advice to a mentally ill person who can't give proper consent. A person should never come home in distress after a therapy session. We have since found a new dr and pulled him out of that office as quickly as we were able to. The office is very money oriented. If you have a balance of over 100 dollars you can't be seen. If there is a need for medication between visits it cost us $20 dollars for the phone call and or medication help. If you miss a therapy appointment without giving a 24 hour notice there was a $65 fee. Even with insurance therapy and Dr visits where around $300 a month for us. One of the staff members charged our co pay to a credit card that didn't have enough money on it without asking what card we would like to use. That caused us a fee. I was told that if I had a question or concern for the doctor I had to make an appointment for it. That didn't feel right to me. So that would be an appointment on top of his normal appointment. The staff is iffy. You can get a kind caring person or someone who is hurried and rude. We had a horrible experience but others might have a better one.

Having had a recent leg injury that led me into several sessions of wound care and physical…read moretherapy, I knew that it was time for me to take seriously my need to locate another primary care physician. After a false start visit with an IU Health physician I was referred to by the clinic, I decided that this was the perfect opportunity for me to explore my curiosity with Franciscan Health. I've always heard positive things about Franciscan Health and as someone with a ministry background, though not Catholic, I thought this type of setting might be a healing environment for me and my hope was to find a physician with whom I could build a trusting relationship so that I could avoid my usual avoidance of healthcare. Dr. Willfond is actually employed by the Franciscan Health organization and only recently joined the Cityway practice. Prior to this, I believe she was in a practice near County Line Road on the Marion/Johnson County border. As a sexual assault survivor, I will admit that whenever possible I try to use female providers, though it's certainly not always possible. For primary care, however, it was certainly my hope to find someone either close to my home or close to my work. The Cityway offices are right next to the Irsay YMCA just south of downtown. I work a little over a mile away. The building houses several Franciscan clinics including a lab, sports medicine, massage, radiology and others. The primary care offices are on the first floor. I'd considered one other Franciscan physician, but I got immediately turned off when the first words out of their mouths was "the doctor doesn't prescribe pain medication." Fortunately, I didn't have that experience with Dr. Willfond's office and that's definitely the last thing on my mind. While she's relatively new to this location, she did bring some patients with her and she did have about a 5-week wait for an initial appointment. As I had some urgency due to the leg injury, I definitely attempted to get in more quickly and actually was contacted and was able to get in 11 days earlier than my original appointment after a cancellation. I was impressed that they not only took note of my need, but they did the follow-up. The building does have paid parking, which is validated, but if you have mobility issues while driving you should know that you'll have to grab your parking ticket on the way in and you'll have to insert your ticket and validation on the way out. However, I found it worked seamlessly. There's several accessible parking spots up front and they are ADA compliant. The entryway includes automatic doors as this is a relatively new complex. As you enter the clearly marked clinic entrance, the reception desk is on the right and there's a couple small waiting areas. I was impressed with the intake call and they also called and did pre-registration that saved me, as a slightly spastic paraplegic, from having to write on those small forms the day of the appointment. I received a short video to watch prior to my appointment that basically explained what to expect and how to be prepared. I was taken to my room on time, or at least within five minutes of on time. The room was a bit small and not quite what I'd prefer to see in terms of wheelchair access. If I'd needed to get on the table, that would have been challenging, but it seemed both the nurse and Dr. Willfond adapted well. The rooms are bright and cheery, only minimally decorated and, of course, they have the Franciscan identifiers (a cross) above the door of each room. I don't know if Dr. Willfond had read my record in advance, but she was clearly informed and that gave both of us a good place to start from. As I specifically mentioned my leg concerns, I was impressed that she assertively wanted to see the leg as wrapped by my physical therapist. While the office isn't as well equipped with wrapping supplies, she made sure to re-wrap it and offered understandable clinical opinions and recommendations. Dr. Willfond listened thoroughly and even offered me sort of a "last chance" mention any other concerns. While primary care visits are always tight, I never felt rushed. In fact, handling the wrap was more involved than she expected but she followed through and addressed my concerns. It is my hope that she'll grow into a "safe" place for me to be authentic about my health and my disability while allowing someone to watch for health and skin issues. She was intelligent, informed, kind and felt safe but not in an artificial way. The nurse, as well, was absolutely top notch. If you need labs done, they have a walk-in lab on the second floor. This appointment was exactly what I'd hoped for and I was relieved that Dr. Willfond agreed to be my primary care physician.

I went to MedCheck with a heart rate of 245bmp; which along with my congenital heart defect they wisely called an ambulance. IU Health North's adult cardiologist felt it was best to send me to IU Health Methodist to be seen by the Adult Pediatric Cardiologist. I was sent via ambulance. Dr. Daniel Hayford is a pediatrician, who I am sure is wonderful in his studied profession, but he is not a Pediatric Adult Cardiologist. As such, he is not medically knowledgable to deny my coverage as "not medically necessary" and "no evidence of heart failure". If Dr. Daniel Hayford had properly reviewed my papers he would be aware of my heart defect. My pediatrician always deferred to my cardiologist in such matters. I hope none of Dr. Hayford's patients have a congenital heart defect. In the future please rethink your decisions for Cardiology patients.
