But I knew I needed more. I wanted to lose additional fat, build lean muscle, and truly tone my body, but I didn't have the knowledge or structure to get there on my own. That's where Coach Josiah made all the difference. From the very beginning, he took the time to get to know me on a personal level before ever introducing his program. That stood out immediately. Our communication was consistent and meaningful, and that accountability was exactly what I needed. I was able to be open about injuries and limitations, and instead of letting those hold me back, he guided me through them with a plan that kept me progressing safely and effectively. Because of Josiah's coaching, I am now at the lowest weight I've been since I was a young teenager. More importantly, I feel stronger, more confident, and more informed about how to maintain and continue improving my fitness. As someone who is just trying to learn the basics I was made to feel very welcome and comfortable. Strength training is new and difficult for me. The trainer Matt, made sure his instructions scaled to my ability which I found incredibly helpful. Gyms around town have such different offerings/cultures so let me highlight some specifics: 1. It's a studio styled - open gym, with lots of strength equipment: strength machines, kettlebells, weight racks, sled, tires etc. 2. Cardio here primarily involves lifting heavy things rapidly. No treadmills, no zumba classes. 3. It's clean, also they can open the bay door at the rear of the gym for fresh air which is a nice feature. 4. Very welcoming to different abilities, ages etc.

I am currently under the guidance of Coach Ty and I've been able to pack on a lot of quality muscle without excess body fat and improve my stage presence a ton! The environment here is like no other. Everyone is encouraging one another and it's awesome to be around likeminded people working toward something similar such as an upcoming contest. You truly get to see everyone's physique coming together week by week. AZBB also holds posing classes weekly (Saturdays @noon) usually led by Coach Ty or Chris who is one of the best posers I've ever seen on stage. It's group sessions up to four people maximum (there is one in one training available) 1 hour Tom is perfect for a group of friends to get a great workout in (and from someone who understands aging and weight issues.) Tom will work with you and keeps you remembering importance of posture to keep his trainees healthy and moving. Tom has various workouts and switches it up. Tom also does monthly measurements (if want to know or you skip the measurements if you don't want Tom to know you're not keeping the nutritional plan lol)

(HVLP) gym chain with over 1.5 million members. I've been an EōS member for ten years now, having the highest membership tier that allows me to hop around locations. This location is one of the nicer and newer EOS and while some of my favorite instructors (Sidney Ford) teaches here, I don't find myself popping in. It's a bit too long of a commute for my fitness class needs. EōS is a solid gym and I have no real complaints. I get to do what I need to do and get out with relative ease. Parking can be a rough though as it's a very popular EōS location.

I've been coming to BFT twice weekly for the past two months, alternating between cardio and…read moreweights. I was skeptical at first, given my experience with other gyms and the fact that it had been 20+ years since my last gym visit. The suck factor was off the charts my first few sessions, I was on the edge of rage quitting more than once, but I stuck with it out of sheer bloodymindedness and glad I did. Chris and all his coaches are next level. They remember all of their clients' progress and difficulties and work with us to keep us safe while still challenging us. They circulate during sessions, pointing out where we're doing great and where (and more importantly, HOW) we can improve. They're incredibly supportive and understanding. The equipment and facilities are maintained in top condition. I've yet to see anything broken or dirty. I wish they had a changing/locker room, but it's a small place so I can see why they don't. Bottom line: if you're looking a great group workout experience, GO TO BFT.

I haven't been at Bodi since the beginning but I have been a member for over 5 years and I definitely love that place! There are multiple options of classes that incorporate strength and cardio, yoga, heated mat Pilates and boxing (now Hyrox based class and straight lifting classes). They have expanded to 3 studios to offer all those classes, which is amazing! There's always a variety of exercises to hit the main muscles groups and the accessory muscle groups. The recovery room is super convenient to use after a class or on a rest day. Variety of class times to meet a large range of schedules. They truly value their members and community and are constantly finding ways to benefit the members even more. It can always be a little intimidating trying a new gym or class but I think they do a great job at trying to make everyone feel welcome & it's generally easy to follow along if feeling lost during a workout. The coaches bring so much energy & fun to the classes as well. Bodi is very affordable in comparison to other gyms (especially if you catch one of their sales around holidays). Class pass is another great way to experience some bodi classes. Definitely worth it to try at least once!!

I also love the layout of the gym it's clean, well spaced out, and the equipment is great. My only con so far is that, in my experience, the trainers haven't been very engaged with the class or offered much guidance on form. One of the things I love most about group fitness is when instructors hype up the room & shouting out members, offering motivation, or demoing the moves alongside the class instead of just in the beginning and I haven't really seen that yet. That said, the staff are all super friendly, the gym offers so much more than just strength training (which I'm excited to explore), and the playlists are a solid 10/10. If you're in Scottsdale or just want to try a new gym I highly recommend this one!
