(HVLP) gym chain with over 1.5 million members. I've been an EōS member for ten years now, having the highest membership tier that allows me to hop around locations. This location is one of the nicer and newer EOS and while some of my favorite instructors (Sidney Ford) teaches here, I don't find myself popping in. It's a bit too long of a commute for my fitness class needs. EōS is a solid gym and I have no real complaints. I get to do what I need to do and get out with relative ease. I Came to this gym with my service dog (who has served 2 tours in Afghanistan) and multiple men tried to grab the dog or squirt their water bottles at him. Some asshole asked if the service dog is there because I'm "retarded"? What the hell We have been to several locations in AZ, but it is clear that veterans are not respected or being treated kindly at this Tempe location. Very sad to be distracted by people. I love writing positive reviews for my favorite locations, but this is the second time I have come to this location and had people act extremely inappropriate. we will not be coming back to this gym EVER. read more

Disgusting water in the pool today it is murky with a green tint. So disappointing. Additionally my shower stall had no soap dispenser.

I tried to sign up with the 1 dollar for one month promotion to just try the gym out and I told the guy I was only planning on doing the one month and he guaranteed it would be only one dollar with no additional charges if i cancel on time which I did. I was then charged 91 dollars 60 for an annual fee and 30 for a monthly fee because you need to get billed one more time before canceling even though the guy I spoke with said I wouldn't get charged. Tried calling the corporate and they were located in the philippines and could not help and said there's nothing I can do read more

Needs improvement. Most of the showers in the men's locker room have no soap dispensers. The handicapped shower has a dispenser but no soap; same way last week. No latch on one of the showers. Clock in the pool area was off or broken. I've used three other EOS sites in the area recently; this needs the most improvement. read more

Friday, September 06, 2024, I spoke to Eduardo and asked him if I can speak to someone who can answer my questions unfortunately upper management was in their branch and have a meeting and asked if they can give us a call back and speak to a consultant and I said "YES". I waited the rest of the day, but I did not receive a phone call. The next day, September 07, 2024, we showed up and mentioned I spoke to Eduardo about calling me back but never heard from anyone. Eduardo heard me and approached us and was very apologetic and explained to us what happened that someone threw the note where my phone number was written to which I responded, "No worries, totally understand". He asked us to sign up in the tablet and upon signing Sophia directed us to follow her. We sat down and asked different questions why we came to the EOS. After answering all her questions, she asked us again to follow her so she can walk us in the entire building. As we were walking, she was talking so fast that we did not get any information we needed to because she was talking so fast like 1000 words per second and at the end of every sentence, she says the word "SOLID" louder than other valuable information about the gym that we want to know other than the word "SOLID". That was a 2-minute walk around the gym. We were asked to sit again, and her question is "So what package do you want to sign-up" and showed us the package. I asked her about military discount that they offer and immediately said we do not acknowledge and/or recognize that offer. We asked questions but again she does not take her time to explain instead she was rushing and talking extremely fast - not considering if she is talking clear to her potential clients that all she wants is sign here and we are done. All you can hear in every sentence is SOLID.......... SOLID...... SOLID. With that we said NO we are not interested and decided to go to another branch who spoke to us for 30 minutes or more and answered all our questions very professionally and signed up for family package. read more

I cannot say enough positive things about this gym and this location specifically. Between the staff and specifically Michael, Chris and Elon made my experience absolutely phenomenal. I highly enjoyed the Hydro massage chairs and the Evolt body scanner! The equipment here is bright clean and new! I will be bringing many more friends back to the EOS family! read more

If the REPUGNANT stench doesn't turn you away, maybe all the broken equipment and greasy plates will, along with the greasy teens that stare at you. I've been going to EOS for 3 years now. I have access to all locations. I don't usually write reviews. Let me start with a good review first; Angelica, Fodey, Aaron and Brandon who works at the front desk and cleaning ladies are the sweetest, the kindest and works hard. They do their jobs above and beyond. They all amazing! Thank you. Now here is your 1 rating star for EOS staff who works at the front desk during days time Monday- Friday. They have about 4-6 people at the front desk; which is unnecessary. And they got nothing to do.. so... they go around people and annoying them. One of EOS staff member came up to me today (1/24/2024) saying that my credit card is going to expire that I need to bring anew card. I've told him that "yeah, chandler location told me same thing, It's your system... cuz my debit card is working fine". He said "well.. bring it next time". How rude. If there was an issues with my card.... He should say something when I was at the front desk, Not where I'm working out with people watching me. I'm alittle embarrassed. Lol.... Like I said earlier.... they have 4-6 staff at the front desk during day times and they got nothing to do... so they like to annoy people. I feel bad for people who works night shift. They just work alone at the front desk. Maybe, those day shift staff needs to work with staff who work night shift because 1 staff at night VS 4-6 staff day shift is not fair. Anyway... This is the 3rd time I've been told that my card is going to expire.They've been saying that since 2023 and I thought I have fixed this issues already because My card is good until 2026. I am a very nice person, I don't usually complain.... I think EOS staff members don't know what they doing with their job or their cheapest computer is broken. I am disappointed! I don't appreciate how they keep annoying me. And I'll have to cancel gym membership. The gym is too small; crowded. I usually pay $24.99 a month and now they increased to 27.48 a month. On top of that you have to pay annual feels $75 a year. They have this monthly challenge on EOS app(It used to be monthly now every 3 months; eos is sooo cheap, lol). You can participate if you like and they pick the winner randomly and I won and guess what it's "olive wood serving board" lol crack me up.... And I never got it... They're so cheap and liar . Well this place just ruined my great mood this morning. I got up early and felt optimistic and exited to sign up for this gym. Finally have a day off work and drove over in this cold weather. Wasted my time! They offer a free week trial but they won't let me do it because they don't have sales team in till later in the day. The front desk expected me to just sit and wait for 45 minutes or pay $20 for a day pass! How are you gonna charge $20 for a day pass when you offer monthly memberships for $9.99. Ridiculous! If you are a 24 hour gym you should be adequately staffed. It wasn't even that early. It was 7am. I'm so irritated by this place and will be looking at other gyms. read more

Coming in from out of town I was looking for a gym for two weeks. EOS exceeded my expectations and is one of the nicest/cleanest gyms I have ever been to. Convenient location, friendly staff... variety of classes and times...The media room is an added bonus when I can't catch a class, a machine has always been available. Maybe because there's a huge selection of machines in the main area. The instructors have been phenomenal, especially Heather, D and Dawn. I absolutely LOVE their classes. They charge your card despite cancelation, not once but for months. They want you to talk to them at gym first, give you the run around agree, then do nothing. As an example, I have called in twice, said same to there center/location, after playing games they finally agree. Hangup and do nothing, stating your canceled then proceeding to charge your card for 5 months. I have spent hours, calls, emails, amex calls, just to stay on it to ensure they do not continue to steal from me. And it still not resolved. They are scamming people as far as they can. They are not receptive to the family they feel they portray, with family like that you would wish you were an orphan. This company is a scam unless you go everyday and don't care, but if you have a problem just know your money means more to there quotas, then having a life long customer. They are not interested in helping or doing what is ethical. Not a gym you should trust. read more

This location is not as busy as the downtown spot I used to go to. THANK GOODNESS! After starting a new membership & setting Tempe as my home gym, I was contact the next day with a welcome text & a trainer already willing to help. I didn't get that with my first membership sign up! The facility is very well organized, setup like most, has many classes throughout the week/month, & I think their pool is one of the cleanest. The members clean up after themselves & can even be helpful or willing to share equipment for circuits. The staff seems nice so far & Im much happier in the Tempe environment. read more

So I have access to all the gyms I have the black card or I am a black card member this location here is full of a lot of young adults I remember those days but far as the cleanliness it's disgusting if you check on top of the lockers you can find a hell of a lot of dust. I don't know who is in charge of this location here but they need to sanitize the place because it stays busy, far as the staff I like them they are young but some of them do have good customer service skills but they really need to clean the place it's disgusting and I'm sure I'm not the only one that said anything about it. I have took pictures and asked management to please get on top of this and it's the same thing this is what I found in the men's bathroom today and it's been like this for months. Greetings! I took Brandee Aguilar's Extreme Hiphop Step class, and loved it!! I'm so pleased this class is at Eos. I'm extremely happy, the instructor is Brandee. She is such an uplifting, energetic and encouraging person. I love her spirit!, and what she brings to the class is priceless. Her smile and energy is so heart warming and welcoming. Contacted the email from the district operations manager still nothing came out of it then they charged me a service fee so it went from $74 to $99 this place is money hungry and that's why we should have stuck to our gut and went back to planet fitness who doesn't overcharge you and communicates about all their policies I would never recommend anyone to EOS at this location. read more

I have had a continuous issue with this gym that they are leaving me in the dark about and it seems like they are absolutely refusing to help me with it. I've been getting charged for a personal training contract that I did not want in any way, it is far too expensive for me. This issue started at the gym when I originally signed up back in April of this year. I have called numerous amounts of times trying to set things right and I am met with "we can't help you" and they also "cannot cancel my membership until the contract is done", so I now owe them $1,100 for a service I didn't want, I am not using and never will use. No harm has been done to me yet, thank God, because my card expired and they can't charge me from it. The lack of communication at this location is absurd and I'm extremely disappointed with the management being unprofessional and quite literally ghosting me. I keep getting invoices from an ABC Fitness Club, the last invoice I received said I owed a balance of $1,092. The individuals at the front desk have been as helpful as they can be. I have been trying to get into contact with Ace, the fitness manager of this location and I have not received any calls, texts or emails from him. If this doesn't convince you that this is a shady operation I do not know what will and I hate to be THAT guy to post complaints and reviews on every known site that I know of, but THEY ARE NOT HELPING ME and I hate that it had to come to this. Maybe one day I will get this fixed. Like I said, so far they have gotten no money from me, besides the $10/month basic plan, so no harm has been done yet, therefore it should be an EASY FIX, yet I'm still worried they will try to collect from me later on. I attached 3 separate inquiries asking for assistance and have gotten no help, no communication, absolute radio silence from these people. I contacted Ace via direct work email, no response even when I specifically asked for a response, the official EoS website also has not responded to me after 2 submitted tickets months after one another. Awesome gym, i love it!! However, I have a concern every day. There is a lady in the women's bathroom and I am always confused as to why she's there. She is there for hours and days. She's always barefoot in the locker room and often wears PJs and sweats and is on the phone 24/7. I know I'm not the only one who is a little sketched out by this lady. I have noticed how she's always walking around invading personal space, talking to people, and even making people feel a little uncomfortable and watched. I have never spoken to this woman, but she will constantly approach people and make little comments, I did catch her going through the lockers once and she got a little freaked out and immediately started calling people on her cell phone. She also has a lot of lockers that use which contain a lot of food and backpacks and bags with clothes. I don't mean to be rude because I don't know her situation and I'm sure she's there because she actually has a membership but my concern levels come higher every day that I see her in the locker room. I constantly see her about 4 to 5 days a week. I am not sure if she's somehow living in the locker rooms. The crazy part is that I have never seen her work out or out in the Floor. Also I am sure I'm not the only one who is a little sketched out and is very curious about this lady.
