I usually write my reviews on Google, but Google has disabled the posting of new reviews for this company. From their page: "Suspicious high-rated reviews were recently removed from this place". They will not allow new reviews at this time. I recommend that anyone considering this company read the owner's replies to poor Yelp reviews. You can see the amount of respect he has for customers. I reached out to Journeyman in a pinch on a Friday afternoon, after the moving company I had scheduled with goofed up their schedule and texted that they had no crew on Saturday to unload the 2 28' ABF trailers that were sitting in my driveway. The salesman said he had a crew in my area he could reach out to, and he said he would call me back. He called back shortly and let me know that they were available on Friday; in fact they'd had a cancellation in the area. Perfect! 3 guys showed up, and they worked their tails off. They unloaded 2 full trailers in about 5 hours. They even helped to move a refrigerator out of the house into the garage, and they assisted with hooking up the washer and dryer. Great crew. The problem came when it was time to pay. The owner said that I owed him 2 hours of travel time. I told him that I was not told about any travel time. I pulled up the quote from their text (picture attached; my personal info redacted by AI, no other changes made) where it shows estimated travel time of 0 hours. I sent a screenshot of that to the owner. He said "I don't know what you're trying to show me." I refused to pay for the travel time, and he did not charge me. However, he charged me a 4% credit card fee. That seemed high, so I researched it. Kentucky state law mandates a limit of 3% to any card processing fee passed on to a customer. I texted him and asked for a refund. He did so, with a screenshot of the refund. He did not apologize or have anything to say. Also, Kentucky state law mandates that the fee be disclosed on the final receipt. My receipt does not reflect that charge. I've filed a complaint with the Kentucky Attorney General for both of these items, which are a flagrant violation of state law. At the end of the day, the job got done. The crew was great, and they came through on short notice. Just keep an eye on your charges if you go with Journeyman, and know your rights. read more

This moving company moved my mother's furniture back in July to her new home. During the move they had one guy injured who didn't do anything much and one that just broke stuff like lamps, wall art and mirrors but we let it slide. Two of the guys worked really hard but because of the other two the move took over 13 hours and they charge hourly. The guys dropped a dryer on the driveway & scratched it up but we said no problem it won't show once installed. At the end of the evening the last load included my mother's refrigerator which they dropped off the dolly in the kitchen/dining room damaging the wall & flooring but most importantly destroying the refrigerator which cost $3,600 new. I spoke with with the owner right after, sent photos of the damages & he said he would file an insurance claim & we would be contacted in about a week. We never heard from an insurance company so I contacted him a couple of weeks later and he said he was just going to pay for it and would send out a check. My mother needed a new refridgerator so we bought one expecting to be reimbursed. After weeks of calls he said we would receive a check the first of September, never happened. He then was upset about the cost of the refrigerator so we agreed that if he would reimburse the cost of the move $2,640 we would accept and call it even. He advised check would be there first of October, never happened. I call him again he wasn't as nice, started trying to tell me how insurance worked & became aggetated about it all stating he didn't have to pay for anything but he was going to, check would be in the mail. November came, check did not so I called again told him I was done & contacting an attorney to handle. He then calls my mother and negotiates an even lessor amount of $2,400 to be paid in three $800 installments, first one to be hand delivered last week. He didn't show & had excuses but bottom line is our attorney will handle it from here and we are seeking all damages and cost associated. I am posting this, which is highly unusual for me to post anything, because I want everyone to know the kind of business this is and to BEWARE of using them, they are not honest good people and I have the recorded phone conversations to prove it. read more

LET ME SET THE RECORD REAL STRAIGHT. I THOUGHT MANY TIMES IF I SHOULD LEAVE A REVIEW OR NOT. DECIDED TO DO IT BECAUSE PEOPLE SHOULD BE AWARE OF KIND OF PEOPLE THEY ARE TRULY DEALING WITH WHEN IT COMES TO A BIG EVENT LIKE MOVING. Threre was only rain in Clarksville area and a bad thunderstorm. I watch the news, hardly could be considered a BLIZZARD the first part of April. 2nd- I'm past 60 years old - if you or any one of your crew didn't want to hang the shelf or the shower head or anything else, all you had to do was tell me so. I'm not a little girl and I know how to take no for an answer. But you and I both know those things took you all of less than 5 minutes. 3rd - I didn't tell you about sticking toilet handle and toilet b/c that toilet was in the guest bathroom that I NEVER USED. Not only did I find that but you left almost all the lights on at that house and left that 1 rug which was with all the other stuff. 4th - we did not have "conversations " about faith and family. Anything said about that was on your end. As such I just listened when I could because I just wanted to get moved. You and your crew were the ones lollygagging around and talking and taking smoke breaks. 5th - You did indeed solicit me for a tip. After running my card through the device, you then showed me different amounts of tips that I could pay. You very much SOLICITED me for a tip. 6th - you have hundreds of good reviews- good for you. But I put this out there for people who would rather hire PROFESSIONAL MOVERS. And should be aware of what they could be getting into if they hire your company. And you went "out of your way to make sure none of my stuff got broken" ? Well thank you. I thought moving companies were supposed to take care not to break things DUH. After everything, there are some people in this world who are so self-righteous, great talkers and good at promoting themselves and if someone makes a complaint about them at some point- then they turn to SHIFTING THE BLAME. YOUR TRYING TO SHIFT THE BLAME ON THE CREDIT CARD DEVICE FOR WANTING A TIP.( We did everything right- it's not our fault about the toilet, etc) The one in the White House is a professional at this. The actual men who helped my daughter and I move were wonderful. The owner is horrible. Arron promised many times he was bringing some items that wouldn't fit on the trucks. They are still at the old address. Also an item that was broken never got fixed. It was promised along with a couple of other pieces that i had him take to be fixed for me that someone else broke that they were fixed and going to be delivered about 10 different days and never showed. When one of the workers showed up after 10 pm because he was coming after a full day of working. Was the one to tell me about my mirror not being fixed. When i had the mirror fixed on my own, Arron is refusing to pay. read more
