Almost five years going back and forth trying to get quotes to figure out if solar was worthwhile. We were ready to sign with SunRun and months went by with no response.....and I'm glad they had zero customer service skills. In comes Jovic Construction....we hammer out the details with Gregg and three days later Victor and his amazing crew show up. I say amazing because you can't miss the pride in workmanship with this company. They have an attention to detail that I haven't seen in a long time. They had to reroute a line because I was unhappy with its placement. Victor assured me I'd never know it had been there....and he was right. The line was gone, my stucco repaired and paint matched to a T. My property was cleaned nightly, down to the use of a metal detector to ensure random nails were picked up. The inspector came, reviewed their work and said the job was not only done right, but no corners were cut. It was a perfect install. Now here is where most contractors dissappear. The work is done and they've fulfilled their contract, but not with Jovic. A day later Victor calls and tells me he's done all the work for us to get the system online. A day after that Gregg calls to tell us he sees the system is up and running and producing as promised. A week later Gregg calls again, says he's been monitoring our system and everything still looks good and to call if we have problems. Last week, months after our install, Gregg just happens to be in the neighborhood and notices my panels are dusty AND offers to come back and show us how to clean them to keep them working properly. Honestly, who offers THAT kind of customer service anymore? Gregg and his team are who you need for reliable and honest work! Not long after we purchased our home with pre-existing solar panels, half of our panels went out. For more than 8 months I tried getting a company to come out and look at them - I tried the company that installed them and those guys wouldn't even answer the phone. I tried other local companies and none of them wanted to touch my system because they weren't who originally installed it. Two years ago we purchased a new home for our family which had a solar system already installed and fully paid off. Shortly after moving in, the contractor who installed the system reach out. They let us know they installed the system and should we ever need anything they would be happy to help. They also advised us to contact the company the warranty was under to have it transferred for a reasonable fee (I think it was about $150), and there was an app available to track the systems performance. It was a pleasant introduction and I saved their number as well as updated the warranty and downloaded the app. Over the hot summer in Porter Ranch, I was very happy to see our solar system completely off-set all electrical costs! I think the system is also about 5 years old so I have a lot of confidence that we are going to be very happy with this system for years to come. Not too long ago, a neighbor who also had solar advised us that our panels looked very dirty and we were likely losing performance. I hired Gregg and his team to replace my roof which was thoroughly trashed by a windstorm. These guys could not be any better to work with. Gregg took care of my concerns about debris and nails getting in my newly coated pool - they covered it and not one bit got in. The tear off was brutal due to multiple layers, but they clean up everyday - it's a messy job but they really work hard to keep it to a minimum - even using a magnet to find any errant nails on the ground. Gregg checked in everyday to let us know what was happening and make sure we were happy and had no concerns. The city inspector signed off no problem, and the job started and finished on time. Gregg is doing roofs for my neighbors as well and I will certainly send anyone else that asks his way! "YOU ARE A ROCK STAR!" This is what the LA City inspector said to Victor, one of the owners of this SOLAR company, as he signed off on the installation. Seriously, he said he never worries about the sites he goes to where Jovic is the contractor. Their attention to detail is as good as if they were working on their own homes. Everything they promised came true including timelines which they met and even beat. This is a small Solar install company and their philosophy is to do it right the first time so they don't have to come back to fix anything. According to Gregg, the other owner, they have yet to be called back on any of their installs. I believe it. Their crew is very nice and respectful and their install is super clean and really, just perfect. Some people don't mind the look of panels on their roof, but aesthetically, I don't like it. So they put the panels on the back of our house and you can't see them at all from the front. The fact that they are a small company means that you get 100% of their attention when they are working on your job. They can get any brand of equipment you might want, so they are not locked into selling inventory to get rid of it. They only like to install the best quality for the reasons above. Jovic Construction saved the day. My friends the Gormans of Alta Loma had purchased solar from Jacob of Clean Power, Riverside, who went out of business. Certain promises were never followed up on like monitoring and the extended 25 year warranty. When attempts to contact Clean Power failed, I referred them to Victor of Jovic Construction. Victor, Gregg and the crew came out and examined the system at no cost. He validated the system was producing, but the defunct installer never included the monitoring. He contacted the manufacture and made arrangements to take over the remaining warranty period and ordered the monitoring equipment. He had to install one on each panel and then trained the owners on how to monitor it's use. If his customer service is this good without profiting from the sale then Jovic construction should be on you short list of solar contractors to consider. read more

He educated us and patiently answered all our questions as to how many panels we need, the condition of our roof, the cost, the rebates, and how long before we recoup our investment.
