In this time, Amy got really successful in her brokerage. She had a huge staff, and lost the personal experience as a result of making it so scalable and automated. I equate this experience to a Comcast of realty. I couldn't get through to people, I had to do lots of leg work, I got canned communications and they just didn't care if they had my business....and I felt it. I expressed my frustrations along the way. I included Amy. I got a response that clearly indicated they don't need my business. Fine. It's got to work for both of us. I'm not your big listing. We were under contract fast - three days after the listing went online. The house didn't need much support to get traffic. My offer didn't pan out because we couldn't reach a final price point. That's not the Kite team's problem at all. But they immediately reposted my property and then I let them know I didn't want to continue. I called my contact to give her this info. From the time I did this, the contract with the Kite team had three days runout. They took the full three days to remove the lockbox and inactivate the listing. They didn't as much as call, text, or email to say "done" (I was selling from out of state.) During those three day No phone call. No apologies. No call from Amy either. They were glad to get rid of me. And all I kept begging for was proactive communication and detail on next steps. I am officially done with them now. I found a new agent. I am happy to pay a commission to someone who answered her phone, responded to me and didn't hand me off to staff. Want personal service? Go smaller. Smaller office will also buy you a smaller ego. It's all the same MLS.

For the last 6 months Wexler has had the listing on our townhouse without securing a single offer…read more As the listing was about to expire, we advised them we were changing brokers. We got a call from a manager at the firm offering the following explanation... According to "Tammy," they fired our listing agent 3 months ago for taking overpriced listings. (At the time we were told she left for "family reasons.") Now, Tammy claims, our listing was one of those overpriced listings and it's no wonder it hasn't sold. I asked why this is just coming to light now. It seems reasonable that, if true, we should have been given the correct data and the chance to adjust the asking price if it was indeed too high. Tammy talked in circles, saying they "did everything they should have done." It was a very confusing discussion. Bottom line-for 6 months we have been contracted with a firm that gave us poor advice, hid material issues from us and didn't sell our house. Communication was poor, we had to contact the agents repeatedly for information. And when this significant "overpricing" issue happened, serious enough to lead to an employee termination, we were left in the dark. I do not recommend Wexler Group.
