The worker kept pushing the tub with raw meat then working on the subs without changing her gloves. If something so simple as preventing cross contamination with raw meat is difficult at this establishment, then I can't imagine what else they're being negligent with. The sandwich itself was almost inedible. The bread and chicken tasted days old and the chicken was dry and bland. Apart from the deli, the whole publix looks outdated and could really benefit from self checkout. Clearly quality is not a focus here and shopping certainly was not a pleasure.

Reason: This particular store is located within nearby schools. These middle/high school students congregate at this store after school. These groups of kids, in general, will congregate in the dining/cafe sitting area without any food/drink items and make it their recreational area, all while the paying customers are either trying to find a place to sit or trying to not get bumped by these kids. Some people use this area as tutoring sessions and a place of business, all while paying customers are trying to use the area as well. Most times, it is impossible to find a seat for one to eat what has been purchased. Management -- There are plenty of them, but don't ask the floor supervisors for anything that will be deemed "out of the way" for them, especially when addressing the disturbance of these school kids. I complained once about this issue and the [lady] manager was so afraid to address this matter that she called for other managers for help. Instead of addressing the disruptive behavior of these kids, she thought best for me to either deal with it or just leave the store. One of the managers she was talking to even gave me a stare down, as if wanting to intimidate me, but unfortunately for him, he was unsuccessful. On top of that, when I unpacked my groceries, every single bag was covered in raw chicken juice. It appears the chicken trays were placed on top of the other bags, and the leaking, sticky, foul-smelling juice got all over the rest of my groceries. This is unacceptable and unsanitary. I am paying for a membership that is clearly not delivering the service promised, and the condition of my order made the experience even worse. I expect much better handling, food safety, and reliability.
