I have heard nothing but horror stories about this place. I heard from multiple I know they have…read moregotten their dresses weeks some days before they needed it. Most recently my close friend got her dress for her daughters wedding under 3 weeks before the wedding already needing alterations as the dress was coming in a little big for her as she is petite. The dress was ordered in February was supposed arrive in May got here in July. When her dress finally arrived after MONTHS of anxiously waiting it came in a size 8. They apologized and offered to do the alternations however we have already heard of a list of problems coming from alterations worst being burn marks to an overseas gown. Thankfully she got alterations else where she was not offered any money off the dress and was told she already saved $100 because the store spent it to get her size (that she didn't even receive). She looked beautiful in the dress after alterations but after the experience it was hard to love her dress she spent a good fortune on. Moral of the story order your dress a year in advance or maybe look else where I hope that the store owner can learn from these experiences and do better.

It's a smallish shop, but they have a lot of inventory, including larger sizes. (A bane of most brides' existence, especially if you're over a street size 14.) Alterations that are almost always needed and should not be shouted throughout the store. This group had average size girls and petite girls. No matter what end over or underweight comments are not welcomed. The owners side stories talking down about her other brides/clients were also inappropriate. Talking about how the bride doesn't want to come for her fitting because she doesn't think the girl lost the weight she wanted to. My guess is the bride is trying to find a backup seamstress to get this lady off her back. The dresses looked great at the wedding however you can get great dresses everywhere, but you can't get great customer service everywhere and I can guarantee none of us will be returning. In reality, they had one rack in the back of the store. This store is supposedly the only store in PA (maybe just western PA) to carry the Allure Disney Fairy Tale collection. If that's true that's very sad bc they had a small rack of them, most older, a few new and even fewer in plus size. Actually I don't know if they had any, bc the only ones my daughter liked they didn't have. If you're going to brag and be half snarky on the phone that you're the "only store in PA" to carry that line, then you should have an extensive selection of that line in all sizes. Don't waste your time looking at their "available dresses" on the website bc they didn't have some of them and told us that they don't have time to keep up with that. Ok? Then don't list any. The only positive experience was that our consultant Sue was very nice. She went out of her way to help my daughter and was very knowledgeable. The poor selection and just meh gowns is not her fault. Even tho she had never been told any information about my daughter prior to her appointment, which should ALWAYS be done. The lady did not help find or suggest any dresses except for two that fit the description. When trying the dresses on she didn't help nor did she help carry the train of the dresses while I walked so I wouldn't trip. I just had to shuffle through to the showroom hoping I didn't rip the dresses. When I told her that I wasn't much of a fan of a dress she would try to convince me why I should like it, did not suggest any news ones that I might like instead, and told me that I should buy a dress soon because I don't have much time left before my wedding (my wedding date is over a year away). When I finally found a dress that I felt the most comfortable in she became very pushy. I told her that I loved the bottom of the dress but wasn't sure about it. She came into the dressing room and tried to get me to order the dress online with a different neckline. When I told her I wasn't interested in doing that because I wasn't sure how it would look she kept pushing me to make the sale. After the third time of her not understanding the word "no" I was forced to get stern and tell her that I would not be buying the dress, that I wasn't interested, and that I was not going to drop a few grand on a dress that I wasn't sure of to which she stormed out of the room. Then she came into the show room and told my mom and my bridesmaids the same thing that she told me in the dressing room that I had already said no to. I was done after that. She then replied because we need to take care of our girls first which meant the prom dresses that were purchased there at their store!!! I was so upset!! I have spent well over 1,500$ there in the past and from now on I will let every single person I know never to shop at Zilinskys!!!!
