The buildings were once barns and homestead housing of an old farm. They stand in a semi-circle which frames a makeshift courtyard hold art that relates to its original purpose. This configuration makes a natural connection between the shops, a traffic flow guiding visitors in the front of one shop and out the side where the next awaits. Out front was a horse and buggy. It was a large horse. I don't know whether this was part of the places decoration or an Amish visitor or employee. For the shopper that likes old-timey styles this place will be loved. Of most impressive are expensive but craftily handmade quilts sold in the last building. I am not into Amish country fashion, but the tour of these shops reveal its quality to me anyways. I remembered the first time I visited this place I and saw their cute merchandise and trinkets I knew I had to come back. The merchandise they carry is similar to Hobby Lobby, or T.J. Maxx's merchandise for home decor, gifts and trinkets except more unique and a tad bit more expensive. But I love anything unique that's not mass produced with that unique personal touch. But a lot of their merchandise are marked higher than most places. They have a nice variety of selections from jewelry, to baby gifts, home decor, snacks, cute pens and pencils for the office, etc... But if your gift shopping for someone and want a special non generic gift or looking for something unique for yourself and for your home this is the place to go. Their merchandise also comes in different styles from contemporary to traditional pieces which appeals to different tastes. Awesome!!! And their shop is coordinated by color. Sometimes they have discount specials... where if your first or last name starts with a certain letter in the alphabet you save 20%, and they also have a rewards card. I go here even if I'm not visiting someone in the hospital. But because this place is located in a hospital parking can be hard to find. But I recommend checking this place out.

No better quality or value!…read more We live in the Detroit area but have family in northern Indiana. We have had several custom pieces of furniture made for our home by the talented folks at the pumpkin patch. The quality and durability and, of course, the beauty of these pieces are unmatched. We would pay twice as much to have anything custom made by a Carpender in the Detroit area. (I am not exaggerating. We had something designed and priced out.) The similar pieces we found in retail stores were either more expensive than prices at the pumpkin patch or were neither as beautiful nor as well-made. If we lived closer, we would get more of our furniture from the pumpkin patch. The desk/dresser made for our son will last him a lifetime and hopefully become a family heirloom. Highly, highly recommend!

We purchased a yard playset for our three little kids after paying eight grand into it one payment…read moredidn't go through then we fixed it the bank had a problem when they switched brandings but still the pumpkin patch owner came and got the playset while no one was home tore down two fence panels to get the playset out broke them and didn't replace them so now we payed a little over 80% into the playset then they came and took it away from our kids this place is a scam please if you have children do business elsewhere I work with a few other people that had similar problems from them on yard furniture I don't even understand how people in the community can be so blindsided to not see all the shady business going on here now we our out over eight thousand dollars and yes we have the receipts to prove it
