This review is strictly for auto carriers who deliver/pickup here. Every time we arrive to pick up a vehicle that's being transported, the people are always on point. The cars are usually ready to go so we don't have to wait around long. The downside to this location, is you have to park in the middle lane of a VERY busy street. That being said, today it was pouring rain and when the hubby was loading, a truck came within centimeters of hitting him. This isn't the company's fault by any means. I just want our fellow truckers to be cautious. Just assume that others can't drive well or won't see you altogether. Also, this isn't the best area in Los Angeles, so watch your back. The 3 stars is strictly due to the bad parking situation and the location. For the customers privacy , the pictures I posted aren't the exact cars we picked up. First of all I never had any problems with the transport itself (two coast to coast move with several cars, and storage for a few days). Sometimes the email communications may seem a little rude to some people, but i don't mind. But I would also like to echo some of the negative reviews. If you are moving cars to/from an area where they don't operate (at least according to my experience), you are not gonna get the majority of the services they advertise (at least used to). GPS trackings, direct transport with those fancy JP branded trucks, white glove service yada yada... They just outsource jobs to other carriers, and some random guy shows up with an unmarked trailer and picks up your car. A few days later you get a call saying you car is here, and that's it. It's also hilarious because i accidentally got their dispatch emails a few times, lol (see below) Especially with their prices, i think these things need to be communicated more clearly with customers. A lot of LA dealerships use them to transport cars to long-distance buyers, people are sort of kept in the dark in terms of the actual transport process. I would suggest getting a few quotes from different companies; don't just go with what dealers say. I would like to echo some of the negative reviews that have been given on this company. I chose JPL because they said they were not a broker and would ship my exotic car directly. They also say they have GPS tracking on their trucks. The reality of the situation is that I wasted an extra $500 using this company because they used another company to ship the car. In addition it was a horrible experience trying to speak to the driver to find out when the car was arriving. I called the company and was told I would get a call back immediately from the driver. 24 hours and still no call back. Called again and got a number for the driver. This guy told me an approximate time but then says he is not the actual driver - what the hell. I get the actual drivers cell number the morning of delivery - give directions and followed up with a text with an actual address to deliver the car to. The driver calls asking where I am and we figure out he is three miles away - google maps anyone? When he arrives he then starts to unload the car while smoking a cigarette - I don't want my new car smelling of cigarettes..... WTH? Don't believe the hype - they are just an expensive version of every other broker. What a waste of money!!!! We didn't have any relationships with car carriers at the time but were referred to JP Logistics so were willing to pay a huge premium compared to other quotes we got - too bad we were really let down by our referral. Since our experience with JP, we've shipped cars a couple times and we've gotten far better service at lesser cost with other carriers. So here's why JP Logistics deserves one star: 1. Pick up was several hours late. They didn't even let us know until just before pick up time, and kept pushing back the ETA, so I had to wait around all day just to handle the pickup. 2. Carrier was literally a pick-up truck with a trailer, drivers were very casually dressed, even had a dog with them in the truck - gives a real fly-by-night impression. 3. Pick up person kept running hands/fingers all over exterior during examination, then went straight to getting in the car and touching the interior and driving it. Didn't put any mats/plastic down, didn't wash hands or put on gloves, nothing! 4. I would've voided the car purchase agreement contract due to nonconforming goods. Awesome service. I couldn't have been happier with this company. We were moving from Florida to California and being that I don't even valet my car, I was a bit worried about letting someone throw it in a truck and haul it 3,000 miles away. I had first reserved with someone else but they didn't show up or even call when they were supposed to (2 days straight) so I cancelled them and called JP Logistics on the advice of a friend. I'm glad I did. The owner, George, was very courteous and seems to understand this about people. They treated the car with the utmost care and charged a very reasonable fee. They transport mainly high-end cars (a very good sign), but don't let that fool you. They treated my MINI Cooper GP as well as if it were a $1.5 million Bugatti Veyron. A very big plus for me is the fact that they have their own fleet (pretty cool looking trucks with fancy graphics on the side) and the drivers are their employees. This obviously means the jobs aren't farmed out to random people like with the first company I mentioned, which in the end I found out were brokers. Anyway, I was impressed by the service, how I got updates along the way and most importantly, how I received my car on time, and delivered without a scratch. I just wish my movers had been as good. Victorville, CA 1/27/2013 I recently purchased a car that was located in Connecticut and I needed to get the car transported to Los Angeles. I contacted Reliable Carrier and Able Auto transportation they both said it would take a couple of weeks to 30 days before they would be able to assign a truck to pick up my car. While in the mist of all that, I remembered JP Logistic and I contacted to see how soon they would be available to pick and deliver my car. Well amazingly he jumped right on the phone, contacted one of the drivers whom was not that far from Connecticut.
