We came as a larger group and they were nice enough for us to order from the breakfast menu as they switched over the lunch menu at 11:30am. Our table enjoyed the food but all agreed it wasn't worth the price point. I tried the chocolate croissant with homemade butter and maple bacon jam along with the Canadian bacon Benedict. The chocolate croissant was nice with the maple bacon jam but definitely not worth the price point of $12. The croissant was quite smaller, like the chocolate croissants you can get from Costco or Starbucks. The Canadian bacon eggs Benedict however was delicious and I really enjoyed it! I just am not sure again it was worth the high price point. However I definitely felt the service was missing. As we were the only ones in the dining area, I felt the service was missing the mark. The server saw we were carrying a baby in the restaurant but didn't ask if we wanted a high chair. My mother-in-law spied it in the corner and then we had to ask for it and we proceeded to set it up at the table. As I was with 2 young kids, I ordered some simple items before the main course like their chocolate croissant and fruit cup. I assumed the server would ask if we wanted those ahead of time but that didn't happen. He also had forgotten my son's drink order and which my son actually had to ask him after some time "where's my juice?" My older son had ordered the s'mores waffles and it looked good when it was delivered but as I cut some of it for me to try later on, I soon realized the batter was uncooked in the middle of most of them. I was thoroughly disappointed he had eaten some of it before I discovered it was uncooked. The server throughly apologized and they remade the order which in the end, we ended up taking home with us. They also didn't take the order off the check for us which normally that would happen. For such a classy restaurant, we would think they would know how to make waffles and for more top-notch service. I think next time we will just enjoy the nice views and choose to eat somewhere else when we are in the area.

So, if you had no cash-better go out and get cash. $10 cover on Wed night??? This was the venues charge not the bands. The restaurant was empty. Not surprised as it was a Wednesday but the last few times we were there, the food went downhill since Nick moved away. They lost several great bartenders too. The common denominator is a very micro managing, overbearing, unfriendly owner. The venue is fantastic upstairs and down, BUT this needs to be sold to a passionate, dedicated, business savvy restaurateur. Someone PLEASE save this place and buy it out. We felt horrible for the food runners who had to run up and down the stairs outside all night. The rooftop would be more successful as a bar only

The most incredible (and only) speakeasy in the Finger Lakes…read more After hours of driving, we knew we needed a cool spot to go to at night for some delicious wine. Of course, the Finger Lakes are KNOWN for wine so we're just thinking we're making reservations for a wine bar (with "speakeasy" vibes). Which that would've been totally cool with us. After continuous back and forth, changing our reservations 50 million times, adding and taking people out, we finally made it to Vinifera on a Friday night and were super apologetic since we had to make yet another change. The staff was absolutely incredible and accommodating, they made sure our party of 10 would be in the same room/table. The only "downfall" was that we'd have to share the room with another small party. Which was absolutely not a problem and we ended up being BFF'S with them by the end of the night. We met the owner Jim - the most incredible human - and he took us down to the speakeasy (which passes right through a super secretive door in the back of the main room upstairs). Side note - the main room upstairs is a vibe on it's own btw and we would've been absolutely fine and happy there. It's an actual wine store and you can purchase all kind of local wines. Be sure to ask and get all the recommendations you want. Not only did we get to enjoy an incredible time but we got a super cool VIP experience and learned the story and so much history about this place, the concept, the origin and what sparked the idea of creating it. That itself, was a treat. On to the actual speakeasy experience. When you go downstairs (through that fun super cool super secretive door) - you're instantly transported to another era, another time. It's dark, it's velvety, chandeliers, spiderwebs (the aesthetic kind, idk if there were actually any but it fit the vibe in my head), Leonardo Da Vinci, Mona Lisa, candles, curtains. There are two super cool rooms, one to the right (which is where our large party sat at) and one to the left - totally recommended for smaller groups, it's cozy, it's chill, you can interact and share with other guests too. Just by this, I'm wowed. As if this wasn't enough, the drinks were absolutely incredible. I ended up ordering some kind of a smoked drink and they happily substituted the regular old fashioned for mezcal. What a dream. Everyone was happy with their drink orders, some ordered some off the menu things and they happily made them - even though they technically only serve what's on the menu. Wine flights are also available if you're in the wine vibe. Bottom line: we loved this place SO much, we came back 2 night's later for our last night. We sat in the other room and absolutely loved and enjoyed it. I had a lavender drink and it was delish. This place is a GEM and you should absolutely check it out and support it if you're in the area. If you're not, well now you have a place I know you'll love to go to!

I was promptly given menu and offered beverage. I decided to go with the clothesline bacon appetizer. I was pleasantly surprised when I was presented with a clothesline with bacon hanging from it, and rosemary on top. The chef then pulled out his torch and heated the bacon, and set the rosemary on fire. What a show! The people next to me had to order it just because it looked great(and tasted great too!) I ordered the Shrimp Alexander and really enjoyed the dish. It came out quickly, and was delicious. Even though it had bacon on the shrimp, I enjoyed eating the clothesline shrimp at the same time. When in town, stop by and enjoy some amazing food and company. Keep up the great work Kix!

We had 2 Kix burgers and the Fried Chicken sandwich. Burgers were supposed to be medium rare. Both were undercooked and too raw. Macaroni salad was bland and cole slaw had so much horseradish it only tasted like horseradish. The fried chicken was excellent but the sandwich was huge so I would recommend splitting it if you are not famished. Service was good and made the experience positive. It's just the food was not as good as the reviews we read about. I would not go back to this restaurant.

Drinks were good and food was delicious. Service was a bit lacking though. We spent a long time without our waitress so we finished our apps before we got to order our mains. Edit: the manager was very empathetic and rectified the situation once i spoke with her. i think maybe they just had an off night.
