We went there to celebrate our friend's new job. This place is great for a cocktail hour, the food menu is limited. I had their Grenache, lemon drop martini and a drink from their menu. The Grenache was great, the lemon drop had a little too much acidity but decent. We were probably very annoying as guests but the bartender was great sport and we had a ton of fun. read more

Came here on a Sunday for brunch. They offered a very limited menu of Mexican-style plates. The waitress was super sweet, but couldn't pronounce the menu items. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time but was cold. Halfway through the meal, I went to the bar to cancel my Bloody Mary which I had ordered with my meal. There were 1-3 people behind the bar the whole time, but my drink still hadn't been made, even though there were no more than a dozen customers in the joint. While in Geneva, my boyfriend and I decided to grab some drinks and a snack at The Linden Social Club. We were on our way to a spot a couple doors down. That spot ended up being closed, but The Linden Social looked pretty swanky and we wanted to stop in. When we entered, we were immediately greeted and saddled up to the bar. I really liked the vibes of this place. It was masculine and upscale. They also have purse hooks at the bar, which I always like to mention and is an important aspect for any bar. We had a couple drinks and ordered the wonton nachos, which were wonderful. The drinks were great as well. The bartender serving us, was also the owner. We had a great talk with him throughout our experience and it was nice getting to know him and his journey in the business. Check this place out and enjoy the small plates and drinks. I really wanted to love this place. I had been meaning to go here on one of my visits to Geneva for some time. However... The positives first Atmosphere/ambiance it's got a cool vibe and is a nice space. The bartenders definitely know how to make a great cocktail. The negative. Good lord, the music. I love music, all kinds. I have the early signs of hearing loss from listening to music, way too loud, in my younger days to prove it. However, if I'm paying $15 a cocktail, it would be nice to be able to have a conversation with the person next to me and not leave after a brief stop with the music still pounding in my head. Seriously, turn it down a few notches. Maybe less aggressive music? I felt like I walked into a rave. I'm just guessing but I think the clientele paying for premium cocktails would approve. The bartender was very friendly and kept giving us things - a free shot, a taste of wine. We really enjoyed ourselves here and would've returned again if we were going to be in the area longer. I'm so happy we found this place! My fiancée and I randomly decided to go out last night and explore the bar scene around Geneva. We saw this place online and figured we'd give it a shot. It's located right in the heart of Geneva near some other small trendy-looking restaurants. When we first walked in, the place looked super cool and gave off chill, hipster vibes. We sat on a couch near the bar area and were greeted by a super friendly server who brought us some menus and water. My fiancée ordered a tequila sunset and I started off with a cocoa coco (dark rum, espresso, coconut and cocoa). Both of our drinks were outstanding!!! I'm not a huge fan of tequila, but the sunset had such great guava and pineapple flavors that I didn't mind it at all. The cocoa coco was like a chocolate White Russian fused with an espresso martini, but rum based. The flavors were to die for and it makes a great after dinner cocktail. Even though I had already eaten, the smells coming from the kitchen were divine and made me hungry all over again. We ordered the Cubano sliders and the marinated chicken sliders. The Cubans were simple but great. I wish they had a little more meat to them but the ham, mustard and pickles were all on point, swirling together to create a perfect little Cubano. The chicken sliders stole my heart and my tastebuds. I'm very distrustful when it comes to marinated chicken at restaurants because a lot of the time, the marinade doesn't come through. This is a citrusy marinated chicken you can trust. Not only is the chicken itself flavorful, but it works so well with the lemon garlic aioli, which gives it this creamy but fresh and savory taste along the zing of the chicken. Then the peppers and onions come in and add more of that sautéed veggie flavor and gives the sandwiches a soft crispness for texture. I finished with a Linden Sling (gin, cherry heering, drambuie, and lemon) and my fiancée got the Catalina wine mixer (Vodka, amaro, Sherry, and lime). These drinks were also phenomenal but we each preferred what the other got and ended up switching. The Linden sling was a bit stiffer and you could definitely taste the cherry and drambuie with a little acidity from the lemon. The Catalina wine mixer was super refreshing and light. It was amazing because I'm not to crazy about Sherry but it blended so well with this drink and the amaro gave it this nice bitter-sweet taste. I also want to mention that they had a killer band playing that totally fit the mood and ambiance of the bar. We're 100% going to be returning here! read more

The quality was well worth the limited items. Our family (two older adults and two young adults) stopped by because of the ambiance and we were absolutely right. From the owner, Joe, to our server, Grace, to the chef (I'm sorry I didn't get your name), The Linden Social Club was welcoming and friendly and the food was absolutely wonderful. The Eggs Benedict, the Lox on a bagel, and the biscuits and gravy were all delicious. The Bloody Mary was excellent but the Bloody Smokey Maria was sublime. I love the low key atmosphere in here and the gorgeous lighting. The cocktails are creative and tasty. I loved the painkiller - so tasty, creamy but light. I have yet to try the food but hope to in the summer. Seating: There are plenty of stools at the bar. In addition, they have a comfy couch and a U style booth in the back with a beautiful chandelier above. We ordered the Pineapple Express and some mezcal/jalapeño original for the first round. Pineapple Express fell a little flat, but the mezcal/jalapeño number was great. Ordered a dark and stormy and the Aeroplane (rhubarb, rye, aperol) for round 2 and were quite pleased. The bartender who waited on us had to ask the other (the bar's owner, we later learned) what was in a dark and stormy, but it was great - spicy, gingery, well balanced. The aeroplane was a little bitter, but I suppose that's to be expected from the ingredients. The owner later chatted us up and was super friendly. Came in on a Friday night - fun music . Heard amazing things about the Linden Social Club so we made sure to stop here after dinner on a Friday night. The place was, interesting. Very interesting. I couldn't get a handle on what they were going for; was in a college bar, were they aiming towards an older demographic? It was strange. There was a Piñata on the bar filled with candy, there was a woman with her large dog to my left, they were making their Martinis with ingredients I have never seen go into a Martini before, it was weird. It was hipster for a minute, then super refined and upscale, then girls to my left were super casual and wasted ripping shots of Tequila and 7 out of the 8 girls had their cell phones out taking pictures of them taking the shot. I just couldn't grasp what this place was all about. They had a live band, they were freaking PHENOMENAL. They were playing some oldies songs, some indie hits, a mix. I really enjoyed them. There was seating in the back of the bar, couches, chairs and such. Otherwise there was the bar area, which was pretty large and then standing room. The bartenders were alright. I was drinking sparkling the whole night and depending on which bartender I asked, sometimes I got prosecco and other times I was given some red looking drink in a flute. Not sure what it was. So glad to have this little spot as a part of Geneva. The atmosphere is low key during the week, which is perfect - but on weekends it tends to pick up quite a bit especially if there is live music going on... always a great time!
