This is a wine lovers wine bar. You won't find any Josh's, Kim's or Kendall's on this list and I'm all for it. I was equally excited to not see any Chucky Wagner "Wine Bro" Caymus wines here. What you will find is an adventure through various wine regions of the world exploring and showcasing many esoteric winemakers who make real old school wine that is just so Fcukin delicious. Wish we had more time to come back during our stay. Server we had was excited to show us their other wine menu which was huge and full of many great offerings. Food offerings, although we didn't have any, were curated to pair together with their wine selections to enhance your experience. The ambience and decor were fantastic. If I lived here this would be my go-to weekly hangout. If I decide to move to Geneva it would be because of this place and Monaco coffee and of course if a job was readily available to me. Fingers crossed.

From what I understand they were closed for a bit or seasonal? Check your socials or website for more info. We were in the area for FLX Cursion a few day wine symposium and tastings. So we walked down from where we were staying and to give you an idea it's on the same street w/ FLX Table, Viniculture, FLX Bird and more. It's on a one way street and when we went the street was blocked off. They were having a Wines of Germany Take Over it was part of FLX Cursion and the theme was Prince (yes the legend, artist and singer) they were playing his music and they had a bunch of German Sekt Sparkling we had the Rose it was perfect for the early summer evening weather. The rep who took care of us was hella knowledge and it's a cute spot inside too. It's all a back bar, light woods, tables the normal. I also believe they serve food. You either are able to order from a person or you go up to the bar and order. Trying to pay took a bit due to lots of people at the bar. The menu they have wine wise is extensive and impressive. If your in the area and the weather is nice you should check it out. There is a parking lot down the street and street parking.

The food was so so good. Smaller but full flavored dishes. We legit didn't have anything negative to say about anything we ate. The nori bar mix was so so good even our kid devoured it. Loved the cold noodle salad dish it had lots of textures to it. The cucumbers were to die for and the sauce was drinkable we wanted more! It's a cool part of town and cute little quiet street with lots to do around it. Everyone needs to know the food the chef makes is not one to miss. Staff was friendly as well!

Completely and utterly overwhelmed by the flavor and creativity that inspires this chef to create such wonderful dishes. Honesty with my experience I would have thought I walked into a bar in LA. Nowhere in upstate New York will you indulge in dishes like this gentleman creates. I came into Microclimate for cocktails but I'm so glad I decided to stay for the food. The owners of this establishment made me feel more than welcome. The flavors of the food kept me eating more than I should. The vibes of this small bar make you want to keep coming back. I wish they were open Tuesday's and Wednesday's because this could be an everyday spot! Next time you're in Geneva New York this is a must!!!

Really love this bar. The space has a lovely ambience both day and night. They have great drinks and the food is amazing. They've recently started doing brunch and it's just as great as their dinner options.

Small, chic and incredibly charming little gem hidden on a side street. Great selection of wines (and some import/microbew beers, too). The staff are fantastic and very knowledgeable. Don't stare at the menu if you're confused, ask and they'll help you find a wine you'll enjoy. The only downside to this great service is if the place is a little full, it can take a little while to place your order.

Love this place! Participated in a private event wine tasting last weekend (group of 12 people) and was very impressed with the entire operation. Loved the wine flights and found the woman managing the place (Stephanie) to be very knowledgeable and fun. The interior is nicely appointed with weathered wood details, exposed brick, wood flooring, a cool curved bar, and a nice little 'lounge' backroom. There are several options for tasting flights, and you can also buy individual glasses or bottles. Our group was divided in what we wanted to taste, so about half of our group opted for the white wine flight which compared a local finger lakes Riesling with Rieslings from around the world (Germany, France, etc). The others of us either tried Italian reds compared to finger lakes reds of the same grape varietal, or all finger lakes reds. I had the Italian red flight and was very excited to try new wines I had never tasted before, and to be able to see how our local wines (the finger lakes red in my flight was from Red Tail winery) stack up against internationals. Each pour/tasting was 1 ounce, so in total we had 5 ounces, or just about the equivalent of a full glass of wine. I especially appreciated the 'wine notes' that Stephanie provided as we tasted each wine in order, and the wine placemats where you could set your wines, make notes and keep track in case you wanted to order more of any one wine. Couple of notes - hours here are limited, so check the website. On Sunday they do a brunch, which I am definitely going to check out in the future. Parking may be tricky - there is street parking on the little side street, but it seemed full when we were there, even though a lot of the businesses on the street were closed. Linden street is also very cute with lots of other great places to check out, plus lights strung across the entire street - I have the feeling that this is a very festive street once the weather is a bit warmer. Definitely recommend!

Great wines, knowledgeable staff (JP was awesome), cool vibe. A must if you're visiting Geneva!

Excellent wine choices. She knew so much information about each wine. We had a white and red sampler. Went around the world twice. We then had a Moscato from France. Clairette de die, Rhone valley France. A clean smell of rose petals, just enough sweetness and then a smooth finish. Love this place.

Lovely fusion food with great selection of wine. Given how early wineries close in the area, this is a great spot to taste some wines.

Of course, the Finger Lakes are KNOWN for wine so we're just thinking we're making reservations for a wine bar (with "speakeasy" vibes). Which that would've been totally cool with us. After continuous back and forth, changing our reservations 50 million times, adding and taking people out, we finally made it to Vinifera on a Friday night and were super apologetic since we had to make yet another change. The staff was absolutely incredible and accommodating, they made sure our party of 10 would be in the same room/table. The only "downfall" was that we'd have to share the room with another small party. Which was absolutely not a problem and we ended up being BFF'S with them by the end of the night. We met the owner Jim - the most incredible human - and he took us down to the speakeasy (which passes right through a super secretive door in the back of the main room upstairs). Side note - the main room upstairs is a vibe on it's own btw and we would've been absolutely fine and happy there. It's an actual wine store and you can purchase all kind of local wines. Be sure to ask and get all the recommendations you want. Not only did we get to enjoy an incredible time but we got a super cool VIP experience and learned the story and so much history about this place, the concept, the origin and what sparked the idea of creating it. That itself, was a treat. On to the actual speakeasy experience. When you go downstairs (through that fun super cool super secretive door) - you're instantly transported to another era, another time. It's dark, it's velvety, chandeliers, spiderwebs (the aesthetic kind, idk if there were actually any but it fit the vibe in my head), Leonardo Da Vinci, Mona Lisa, candles, curtains. There are two super cool rooms, one to the right (which is where our large party sat at) and one to the left - totally recommended for smaller groups, it's cozy, it's chill, you can interact and share with other guests too. Just by this, I'm wowed. As if this wasn't enough, the drinks were absolutely incredible. I ended up ordering some kind of a smoked drink and they happily substituted the regular old fashioned for mezcal. What a dream. Everyone was happy with their drink orders, some ordered some off the menu things and they happily made them - even though they technically only serve what's on the menu. Wine flights are also available if you're in the wine vibe. Bottom line: we loved this place SO much, we came back 2 night's later for our last night. We sat in the other room and absolutely loved and enjoyed it. I had a lavender drink and it was delish. This place is a GEM and you should absolutely check it out and support it if you're in the area. If you're not, well now you have a place I know you'll love to go to!
