While my wife and I were considering purchasing a Nissan, (and we were not in the market right at that moment), one salesman quickly became two, and the two then became THREE, all ganging up on me, all acting like they were my new best friends, saying "We really would like to see you in a new car.," flattering me and trying to charm me into giving them a yes, all while they were trying to pit me against my wife. A TOTAL TURNOFF. I don't need three people trying to convince me to make a purchase, especially threeA desperate sales people. (I say this from he point of view of having been in sales myself, so I knew their game.) But the service department was even worse. On two separate occasions, they attempted to bully her into getting additional, very expensive service that her car did not need. She was very suspicious because they were very pushy about it, so she took her care for a second opinion at Complete Automotive, a company that has a superior rating with Yelp and will not offer a service that a car does not need. They agreed that Maus was playing games with her. On another occasion, my wife wanted one thing done for service that only an authorized dealership would be able to do. I don't know exactly what was involved in it, but while doing their work, they came up with a list of numerous additional items that they said needed to be serviced, totalling around $6000. When she refused, the woman working with her became snide and pushy, and gave he an entire list of all that needed to be done, then insisted that my wife sign each item stating that she was refusing the service, WORSE, the woman told her that they would not return my wife's keys until she signed the papers. YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS STUFF UP! The commercials make the owner of this dealership look like the nice guy next door, but it all starts at the top. We noticed this type of behavior at BOTH of their stores, one in Brooksville the other in Pasco County. If he has true integrity (which I doubt), he would fire EVERYONE at his stores, from sales managers, to sales, to service managers and service workers and start from scratch. It would be great business decision and good for PR, but when has this dealership ever had integrity? STAY AWAY FROM MAUS!

I advised her I'm in Lutz Florida which is about an hour out and that didn't matter. We went back and fourth and she said she has a private buyer for trade-ins, so it would be best to stop by. That piqued my interest seeing that would help get more money for their truck. On Saturday 3/21/2026, I messaged her advising I was able to stop in. As I I mentioned before I'm an hour out. She wished me a happy birthday and even said when would have balloons for me. I show up and I'm greeted by Wayne. He asked me who I was there for, I told him Cher. He asked what vehicle I was there to see. Had me sit at his desk while he called Cher. She didn't answer, so he went to get her. He was gone for 5 minutes and returns to tell me the truck I was there for sold that morning. Now I told Cher I used to sell cars, but you don't have to be a salesman to see a clear bait and switch. He immediately offered the other two Lightning and I said no thank you got up, shook his hand and left. I messaged Cher as I was in my car ready to leave and she didn't apologize for not having the truck, but again let me know about the other trucks they had. I told her I didn't come for the bait and switch and I have not heard back from her yet. I wasted over two hours just in driving. If the dealership was closer, I probably wouldn't be as upset, but this was ridiculous. My experience here at Spring Hill Ford is one if the many reasons people hate going to the dealership. For Cher to do that, knowing I was a car salesman really shows they do not care what they do, just as long as they get you in. Second, they have a Hospitality Cafe complete with friendly baristas, an extensive drink menu, pastries, snacks, and more. Anything here is free for customers. Yes, most dealerships offer some kind of complimentary refreshments but let me emphasize that this cafe is better than Starbucks. Next, in their well maintained bathrooms, they offer mouthwash for after your coffee drink. These amenities are the little touches that set them apart. Finally, another thing that makes them different, they do not annoy their customers with repetitive texts and emails about the same things over and over, only reaching out when necessary. If you are looking for somewhere to service your Lexus or buy into the Lexus family, this is the place.
