1 STAR -- Extremely Disappointing Service Experience I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at Toyota of Wesley Chapel. I made an appointment for a nail in my tire and have Toyota's tire warranty. I drove 25 miles to the dealership and waited, expecting the repair to take no more than an hour or two. Instead, I waited about four hours. During that time, service advisor Rick repeatedly asked me to approve additional services, including air and cabin filters that had been replaced less than two months earlier. My husband and I both asked Rick to contact my husband, but he never did, and I received almost no updates about my vehicle. After four hours, I found out the tire had apparently not been serviced. My vehicle also still felt bumpy, as if something was wrong. I was given an invoice stating the tire service had been completed, but I was later told it had not. I drove 25 miles home and another 25 miles back the next day to have the issue addressed. When we spoke with the manager, he mentioned they service over 200 vehicles a day and said the technician was new and thought he had completed the work. That is not an acceptable excuse, especially when safety is involved. After another 45-minute wait, my vehicle was finally returned. This was a frustrating experience involving poor communication, inaccurate paperwork, and a lack of accountability. I expected much better and will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Horrible purchasing experience. This isn't a review of the salesperson that I had but the location and experience as a whole. I just needed a quick, cheap 4 door reliable sedan. I drive my current car maybe 2 to 3 times a month because I don't have any type of daily commute. But it's a 2 door, 2 seater sports car so I wanted something that could hold more. I put in a request to see an older Toyota Camry that seemed overpriced for the condition but I figured the maintenance and things would be great because it was a Toyota dealership. I get contacted by a salesperson to view it. I respond back with a time that I would arrive. He didn't respond to my text message. I go up there anyway. I spend about 30 minutes walking around the parking lot looking for the vehicle in the hot son. I find it in a corner, dirty and dingy, no window sticker or anything showing that the vehicle was for sale. It clearly had been there for weeks just rotting away. Not to mention 4 different sales people walked past me and none asked if I needed for help. Finally, I went to the main office and had to wait for another sales guy because the guy that reached out to me "Jack" was busy. The new sales person I got was very cool. I enjoyed his conversation and knowledge. Jack was a bust. Anyway, we test drive the vehicle I want, go over the pricing and it was about 4k more than what was on the sticker because of "fees". I immediately knew I was out but I entertained the guy because he was just doing his job. What upset me even more was the focus on a newer car that cost about 10k more than what I came up there for even after stressing that I do not have a daily commute. Then the ridiculous offer that I got for my current car. I had one of the most desired tuner sports cars in the world. That all came from the sales manager. One he got involved the entire experience went downhill fast. I left and immediately came home and searched for a private sale. That was my first and last time dealing with a dealership in Florida. Thankfully I was able to find what I wanted from a private sale for pennies on a dollar and in much better condition, 60k LESS miles and it was certified by a 3rd party 141 point inspection company before the sale. I also was able to sell my current car for about 17x the price that they quoted me, in cash and replaced it with that money. Yes, I was able to get 2 vehicles for less than the price as one at this dealership. I would only suggest buying new here. Between the price of warranty that they sale and the heavy focus on pushing newer vehicles, you will not leave satisfied buying pre-owned here. Back in 2013 we met a hungry & I though nice salesperson Victoria Fuentes. Then i went back for our 7th Toyota product and The first for my sister. I was treated like a animal by Ms. Victoria Fuentes who has been now the General Sales Manager. It looks like cut throat sales behavior is her thing now. What an attitude she has now. Absolutely ridiculous treatment from the service department towards someone who quite literally purchased a vehicle from the dealership less than 24 hours ago. We called at 9am letting them know we needed to get the car (the one we purchased 16 hours ago) in as we were having issues with the usb port. We said 11am would work, and then in the SAME minute on the phone said "Wait, do you have any later times in the day?" We confirmed 1pm on the same phone call (they can check the recorded conversation) and when we got there at 1pm we were told we were due at 11am and it would now take at least 4 hours. Not once did we hear a "Oh no! So sorry that happened with a car you just got from us!" or "Sorry about that! I'm not sure what happened with the scheduling!" I'm a military veteran that had a scheduled appointment to look at a used Corolla for my daughter's first car. My wife and drive to this place examined and test drove the car. Car was good for the mileage except the interior was a mess. We wanted it but not at the price. We left with a possibility that they can work with us. So, a manager named Matt called us back on the way back home and we had an agreement with a price as long as interior is properly detailed. Manager Matt said it's going into detail now with the expectation to drive back same day and get the paperwork done... They sold it when we were waiting for it to be detailed.. I have been there for 6 oil changes, each time I am there at least 2 hours last night I arrived at 5.30 for an appointment I made and didn't leave their till 8.00 pm took them an hour and half to just get the truck in the shop. Just an oil change nothing else 2.5 hours. Like I said been there 6 times and has never been under 2 hours. Think I will start paying to get my oil changed not worth the free service. Wesley Chapel Toyota misrepresented the 2021 RAV4 Hybrid I purchased, claiming the only damage was to the fuel filler door. When it arrived in Indiana, it had undisclosed hail damage and a large dent in the rear hatch, confirmed by pre-shipment photos and repair estimates ranging from $3,980- $6,113. It took several emails and three formal complaints to the Florida Attorney General, FLHSMV, and BBB before I got a reply, and the General Manager's response was an insulting $400 offer. Buyers beware. When I purchased the vehicle, salesperson Ali assured me the only damage was to the fuel filler door. I later realized there were photos online that showed the large dent in the rear hatch, but I missed it at the time. Regardless, as this did not seem to be a "buy here-pay here" dealership, I relied on Ali's statement that the only damage he saw was to the fuel filler door, and that representation was false. When the vehicle arrived, it was covered in undisclosed hail damage across nearly every panel (see pictures), along with that large dent in the rear hatch. The damage was confirmed by the transport company's pre-shipment photos and Master Certified Paintless Dent Repair estimates ranging between $3,990- $6,113. It took multiple emails with no response before I filed formal complaints with the Florida Attorney General's Office under the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA), the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, and the Better Business Bureau. Only after those complaints were filed did I get a response from the General Manager, who offered me $400, which in no way reflected the severity of the damage. Ali also told me he did not want the vehicle washed until just prior to it being loaded on the trailer, saying he wanted it to arrive as clean as possible. In hindsight, this feels suspicious since the hail damage became fully visible only after the vehicle was washed. This was not an oversight. It was a deliberate failure to disclose material facts about the vehicle's condition. While I have resolved the matter through another channel, I am posting my experience so others are aware. I had to get my a/c compressor and clutch replaced on my 2015 Tacoma...regrettably same issue I had on my previous Toyota trucks. Alex the technician did a wonderful job as it was very cold on my drive home. I also had an oil change and fluids flushed. Joshua Hoover my service advisor was amazing! He informed me the compressor and clutch was on back order until Aug but we talked through after market parts, etc. I will admit I was hesitant to bring my truck to a dealer as quite honestly I prefer to give business to individuals versus a corporation; however, my husband convinced me otherwise and I am glad he did. As long as Joshua is there and I can schedule through him this is my "go to" place from now on. I appreciate his sincerity and truthfulness throughout the process. He kept me in the loop. I can't stress this enough do not EVER do business with Wesley Chapel Toyota they sold us a truck that we were told went through inspection and was safe and sound, only to drive off the lot and make it to the end of the road and the check engine like comes on, we circle back they take it to the back come back 15min later assuring us "that it was just a loss O2 sensor that must have gotten bumped during inspection" they again reassured us it was all handled and we were good to go, we get 45min down the road it comes back on, we call them they say ok bring it back, mind you we live 2hrs away from them this truck was not purchased as a daily driver and we work all week, so we needed to bring it back on the weekend, sales guy tells us no problem, then we get told no you have to make a appointment, so now we have to wait till this Saturday, I was not feeling comfortable with this so I took the truck to maus Nissan in Brooksville where we live, because the warranty we purchased for the truck says we can take it to any nissan dealership, they called us after having the truck for a few hour to let us know how completely unsafe this truck was and that is needed almost $20k to make it safe and reliable, from both motor mounts being busted, two wheel hubs being cracked in multiple places, leaking coolant seal, O2 sensor not working the catalytic convert being shot, and tires that are from 2018 on the truck, and even though the tires look decent like he said thats 4yrs past the safe to use date for a tire, and thats just scratching the surface of the problems, we had this truck 14days, they are refusing to unwind the loan or even admit this was a vehicle that should have never been sold, and the warranty that was purchased from them is saying these are preexisting issues and they won't cover them, so don't waste your money buying the warranty from Lithia Motors, worst experience buying a car I have ever had and I bought a Kia once. read more

I've bought two cameras from Wesley Chapel Toyota. My last experience with the sales person was an elderly gentleman in August. It was extremely hot extremely humid. He drove us out into the back. Parking lot is all asphalt in concrete. No shade opens the car for us, but does not have the key to start it. He said he would have to go get the key in order to start the car. I just thought that was totally out of line as he pulled away alone in his golf cart to go retrieve a key. As soon as he got back, we told him we were no longer interested in looking at the Toyota Camry that was too hot to touch the seats. So he drove us back to the dealership so we could get to our vehicle and ask them for a business card, which he also did not have. He said that we'd have to wait a minute so he could go in and retrieve one. Anyway, we gave the business card. He gave us to an elderly gentleman that was looking at a leftover Venza. Will not go back there again and I do not recommend this place read more

I am very disappointed with the service I received at this Toyota dealership. A service contract was added to my financing agreement that was never clearly discussed or agreed upon. I only discovered it when I requested my payoff document. I have been trying to contact the dealership to resolve this issue, but since I am already a customer, I keep being referred to the finance department, which is always "busy" and never answers the phone. It has been extremely frustrating trying to get a clear explanation or speak to someone directly. I had the Toyota care warranty, and the dealer misrepresented the info and the claim got denied. I complained and was escorted out. Most of the repairs were done without issue by Wesley Chapel Toyota. The problem was with lifetime tire rotation. I entered what I thought was a contract to perform unlimited life tire rotation for my 4 Runner that was sold to me by my service dealer at Wesley Chapel Toyota. I thought I would bring my car to have regular scheduled maintenance and with that I would have tire rotation performed on my car. What I found out was it is unlimited time to perform and a fixed number of tire rotation (four or five). If I knew that the deal was for 4 or 5 tire rotation under a unlimited time, I would have never entered into the contract. In my opinion, this is a total scam by Wesley Chapel Toyota to get money from its customers. In addition, my wife had a battery for life contract that turned out to be very much like the lifetime tire rotation situation. At a different dealership, (Not Wesley Chapel Toyota) I had a tires for life contract that went bad also. From my experience and in my opinion, never enter an extended warranty or any maintenance agreement outside of the cars factory warranty unless you have a degree in contract law. There is always a way that the contract can be breached. read more

We were looking to buy a 2025 Trueno Blue GR86 and none of the Orlando dealers near us were interested in selling us a car. We could see online that Wesley Chapel and Clearwater were getting the exact car we desired. So, we messaged both saying we want XYZ and are ready to buy, give us the best price and it'll be your easiest sale. This is the worst dealership I have ever dealt with ! When we bought the car a month ago , they had us sign all the paperwork three times for some unknown reason which was spread out over a weeks time before we could get the car. Then they would not give us a copy of the paperwork, so I called incessantly for the following week to be berated by the financial services saying I was wrong , they sent the paperwork only to realize I was correct it was not sent . The sales person told us that it was a hybrid and it would take regular gas, but upon research that is completely false and would ruin the car. Now I've had the car for a month they will not release our title and the AC has stopped working in the car! Toyota recalled. Toyota ordered part and when I went in they said I had too much gas for repair. I came back in a few days. I had a 2 pm appt and the car was to be done by close. I submitted a request online to 4 dealerships purchase a new vehicle without having to come to the dealership and without phone calls. This was the one dealership that honored my request. I was connected with Jorge Ducos, who was amazing. He gave us an honest price via email and worked with us to take care of us. He wasn't pushy. He never called.
