I just wanted to follow up and thank Damon and the quality team at ETE in Waukesha. It turns out…read morethe issue was two recently replaced front sway bar assemblies. It seems the not so qualified team of technicians at another service provider that installed these sway bars were less than stellar. The kicker was when I was told by Damon, "no charge". The team diagnosed the issue, tightened up the sway bars and even drove a couple more times after per my persistence before I picked it up. You have earned all my future vehicle repair/service work. The ads running on AM1130 are not lying. Thanks - you guys are the best!

I was experiencing transmission issues. Several people recommended ETE. I called the Waukesha…read morelocation. Voicemail. Left a message. They never called me. I called the location on S 27th St. They told me they don't make appointments. "Just drop off your vehicle and we'll get to it in a day or two." That was my first red flag. I dropped off my truck on Monday morning. I had not heard from them by Tues PM, so I called. They hadn't gotten to it yet. "We'll call you tomorrow." Wednesday, (day 3), still no call so I called them. They said their lead technician had already left for the day and would call me Thurs AM. Thurs AM....no call, so I called them. The STILL hadn't looked at the vehicle. They PROMISED they would test-drive it Friday and call me by noon. Noon came and went. No call. I called them. Voicemail. Finally, at 1:30 PM, I get a call. They test-drove it and said there was definitely a problem, (DUH, I knew that!) but their lead guy was gone for the weekend and didn't have a chance to look into it further. They graciously informed me that I could pick up my truck and bring it back Monday, and that I would not lose my place in line. I was already on my way to pick it up. When I got there, they asked if I planned to bring it back on Monday. I asked if they could promise me that they would get to it on Monday. They could not. Needless to say, I was irritated and incredulous. How can you run a business like this? They seemed to have no concept of the inconvenience it caused me not to have my vehicle for a FULL WEEK, and THEN, expect me to leave it with them AGAIN with no idea of when they would actually get to it! I wish they would have been honest and said they were too busy to get to it for a week or two. Instead, they worked everything to THEIR convenience instead of the customer's, and all I got was the run-around and excuses.

This is an amazing business with an equally amazing staff and quality of work! I was a long time…read morecustomer of A1; a move on my part made it difficult to get there, but I recently discovered the shop had also moved, much closer to my current residence. Wednesday I went there to tell them about a suspected brake issue; Lance, the owner, remembered me and we made an appointment for yesterday to have him look at the brakes. Yes, brakes and rotors needed immediate replacement and he and his staff did it right away. Wow. I was absolutely blown away by their quick, professional action, and the price was on target; but to me, knowing from many past experiences with Lance that I could trust him was even more important. SO glad I found A1 again, and I will go there for any needed maintenance and/or repair in the future!

While searching for trailer repair places, A1 popped up and they were super helpful on my initial call. I dropped my trailer off and Jeremy was assigned to the task. He advised as to what was right and what was wrong, and gave me an honest estimate of the (cost) damage. We got the wheels swapped and everything greased up with proper lighting in quick order and I was able to get it moved without issue to it's new resting place. I would not hesitate to use them for any of my auto or trailer repair needs.

I've had my car there 3 times for service since they first opened their doors a few months ago. In…read moreeach case, I was totally satisfied with the quality of the work done. The first time, I had a coolant leak and the mechanic actually SHOWED me where it was leaking. Actually seeing the problem with my own eyes when the car was on the lift immediately made me feel that they can be trusted. They fixed that problem, did some other overdue maintenance work, and the car's been running much better now, zero problems. The only minor problem I had was that I asked for the parts to be returned to me, and they weren't. That really wasn't a big deal since my driveway isn't full of coolant spots any more. I thought the price for this repair was entirely fair. The second time was a problem that couldn't be duplicated when I was driving it while the tech was in the car with me. Ah well... They didn't charge me for that visit. The most recent visit was exceptional. I managed to get the end of a gas funnel stuck in the neck of my gas tank. This caused all kinds of problems when I'd fill up with gas at Kwik Trip. I tried to fish it out myself, but couldn't. I brought it to the dealership, and they told me they couldn't see it or get it out after allegedly scoping it out. The dealership charged me for that visit. I know they have bills to pay, so I was OK with that. On a whim, I brought it to the new Meineke (formerly Pope Autoworx). I told them what happened and that I wanted them to try to get it out, but I'd pay for an hour of time, no matter what. I told them that I wanted to save the part so I could see it. Well... THEY GOT IT OUT!!!!! The dedication, time and effort that they showed me in actually FIXING this problem impressed the hell out of me. I do my own oil changes and brake jobs, but for nearly everything else, this Meineke garage will be my first call.
