Decided to let go of my previous contractor due to a lot of faulty and poor workmanships as well as the duration of time it took them and still not completed after so many months. I am so fortunate Joe handled the correction required to get the issues all repaired properly. I had a terrible washer accident in my rental house early this year. My landlord could not find a contractor to come for an estimate, so I took my chance on Joe based on his reviews. I was pretty distraught from the incident, which included damage to multiple flooring, walls and even the ceiling in the garage. But I felt more at ease after Joe's visit, as he was punctual, courteous, and communicative. He spent time visiting the site TWICE to answer questions, and always took time to explain and make suggestions. He even handled ridiculous amount of edits to the estimates with grace. Navigating the repair while communicating with both tenant and the landlord requires sensitivity, and Joe did it perfectly. Joe was really outstanding all around. Found out we had a pretty substantial leak under our shower. I really liked how he worked with us to investigate the cause and explore options, which took a lot of extra time, versus just saying it has to be replaced. I highly recommend Joe's services for his exceptional quality of work, professionalism, knowledge, prompt and clear communication, work efficiency and service value! I live out-of-sate and my Mom (who is elderly) needed some work done on her home before the rainy season. My husband and I were concerned about finding the "right" person for the job since we wouldn't be there in person to physically meet the person doing the work and supervise the work being done ourselves. It was only after my husband called and vetted a dozen or so 'Handyman' services that I reach out to Joe. I knew from our first conversation that my husband's due diligence had paid off! My Mom needed part of her roof repaired where dry rot had developed on the corner of the eave over her covered patio. We weren't sure how bad the dry rot was or what the remainder of the lifespan of the rest of the roof might be. We knew it would be just a matter of time before the dry rot would spread to the roof over the house. Joe provided a free consultation and estimate for the needed repairs. He walked the roof and determined the roof was still in good shape, but he also found dry rot (that we were unaware of) around the area of the chimney where the chimney and roof meet. If this was not detected and repaired, it could have been catastrophic during winter's heavy rains. He clearly explained what had caused the dry rot, why water had been 'puddling' on the eave that eventually caused the dry rot and what repairs would be needed for the eave and around the chimney. Even though he was doing the repairs for my Mom and her home, he was so generous with his time in sending me work repair updates with phone calls, texts, emails, before and after pictures along with high resolution videos!!! The entire process from the first phone call to the completed repairs couldn't have gone any better or smoother. Most importantly, my Mom was so comfortable working with Joe and his crew and she was very satisfied with the end results and the entire process! We have worked with Joe and his team on 2 homes preparing them for selling. From the first walkthrough of the first home, Joe struck me as knowledgeable, honest, and customer focused. Joe stepped in and provided much needed guidance on the different type of doors and what he would recommend for our home. Jr is the best! I cannot say enough good things about his character, his workmanship and his team! He came over the same day that I called when we needed our bathroom remodeled after we found mold and had to have it demo'd. He picked up where the other crew we fired, left off. He had to redo a lot of their work as they did it incorrectly. We have had countless experiences with contractors and other professionals who did not take pride in their work and left us with subpar results. As a result, we go into every project skeptical of who we have hired. Jr, however is by far the only person we have ever hired that has taken pride in their work and it shows with the gorgeous master bathroom we now have. He and his team always arrived early, cleaned up after each day, and even worked on weekends. They did the children's bathroom as well and threw in a lot of extras for us that we are so appreciative of! JR was an amazing communicator and always kept us in the loop with a daily recap and responded to text messages immediately. They did a great job, completed it quickly, and cleaned everything up (was a messy sheetrock job). I am so happy that I found Joe! I suddenly noticed dry rot on my front porch eave that was causing my gutters to pull away. I luckily found JR's Handyman and Construction on Yelp. A couple of days after calling, Joe came out to provide an estimate and quickly identified additional areas of concern that I had not detected (all while I was accompanying him during the walkthrough). About a couple of days later, Joe sent me a very thorough estimate; I accepted and we arranged a start date. Joe and his team arrived on time at the start date and every day until the project was completed. Other than a lunch break, his team worked throughout the day. They were very respectful of my property and cleaned up at the end of each day (and remembered to lock my gate!). During the process, additional troubled items were identified by Joe/his team. Joe discussed the issues and did not proceed with these items until he obtained my approval; he provided me with timely, revised estimates and I very much appreciated his recommendations.
