We're so happy with our new massive sliding door, picture window, and skylight! The added light is incredible and has made our space feel so much larger and more open. They came to the rescue to help mitigate further damage during the rain storm. We had a excellent experience working with KCK Construction for a room addition project in Danville, CA. Kevin and Carlos, the two brothers who run the business, were a pleasure to work with and are eager to ensure their customers are happy. Kevin, Carlos, and their whole crew were punctual, met deadlines, and delivered excellent quality work. The onsite team was respectful, professional, and always made sure we were comfortable with the work before moving forward. They were a friendly and professional crew and worked hard the entire 5 weeks. Communication is key with these projects, and Kevin and Carlos set up a group text through which we communicated almost on a daily basis on plans for the day or the next couple of days, and any changes that came up. As with any major remodel, there were a few unexpected issues and some additional work that came up, but KCK handled everything smoothly and guided us through the process with expertise, they navigated the additional city permits and approvals with ease and kept us in the loop. One important lesson we learned: the architectural firm involved in any remodel is equally important. KCK recently did a month-long project for us, consisting of wall repairs following a small flood, then replacing all the flooring throughout our 3800 SFT house with new hardwood, as well as painting all interior walls. Their workers assigned to our project were very professional, friendly and really seemed to care about the quality of their work. Kevin, Carlos and team did what they promised to do for us within the budget we were comfortable within the timeline expected! We had a shower leak that ruined our tiling so we got that replaced and some extra things like renewing our vanities and faucets along with our lighting, some floor tiling and removing the nasty builder grade mirror we had from the 70's. It was definitely a little difficult not having a shower at home for a few days but they did the best they could due to waiting on materials. We were moving into an older style house and needed someone who was reliable, professional, friendly, and TRUSTWORTHY. After sifting through several contractors on ThumbTack, I stumbled on these two guys from KCK. Kevin spoke with me within minutes of me requesting to be contacted (even late in the evening!) And I already knew I was going to hire him. He was very responsive by text (which I love) and took all my requests and questions HAPPILY. He never made me feel like I was bothering or asking too much. I could always hear him speaking with a smile if we were on the phone. His brother Carlos is so sweet too! They're focus is customer service, which lets be honest, not the main focus of many contracting companies. We needed carpeted removed - LVP installed, removal of ugly lighting and install of recessed lights, demo of current primary closet and sealing of our tile entryway. They did it all in about a week; which is absurdly fast and they did it to accommodate our tight timeline to move into our new house before my daughter starts school. They were flexible, they worked OT, just to help us as a stressed family relocating to a new city. Literally, best experience. German was my lead contractor doing the work and he was so gracious and thoughtful. (And duh the craftsmanship was awesome). KCK team worked for my house drain leaking issue in garage. Kevin and Carlos both are friendly, respond to me quickly . They start the job on time, the leak was inside the wall, they opened the wall to figure out the leak source, fixed it and took a fan to dry out the wet inside wall. a couple of days later they came again to restore the wall and painted it. They also restored the big ceiling hole made by other people which is not listed in estimate doc. I was happy with KCK team's good job.
