We thought we did our due diligence, but they failed over and over again to do what was promised. Shoddy work other companies shocked to see when we asked for quotes to fix what we already paid for. Not only is our foundation still not fixed, they have caused extensive additional damage to our home, came onto our property while we were out of town with no notice and no authorization and performed work we did not even authorize. Some brickwork is cracked around suspended arches and cornerstone decorative pieces (e.g. above garage doors) but obviously has been for decades. I specifically called Cornerstone because I wanted a serious contractor who does actual poured footings, not that stacked cylinder mess that could actually crack your foundation worse as they use your house for the jack leverage. Dave was on time, courteous and (given that our appointment was in the middle of the Viral Apocalypse) understanding that I was working from home instead of 'off' for the day of our appointment. We spoke for a bit, he outlined everything well and asked pertinent questions about my reasons for calling, then got down to work inspecting...and recommended no work be done at this time. I offered to pay a service charge but he said that wasn't necessary. We did follow up on the phone briefly (I was busy when he was finished) and I am strongly considering coming back to them for some drainage improvements here and there as precautionary measures. John had Quote and drawings to me within 48 hours of me calling him. I was able to take his quote back to the sellers and got them to pay for a good portion of the foundation work that was needed. This ultimately saved me about 3,000.00 off the purchase price and would not have been possible if he had not been extremely quick to get out to the property and get the quote. The price quoted was reasonable and I moved forward with the work. On the down side, the work got delayed a few times due to their scheduling and weather. While I understand that things happen and you can't control the weather, I found out about the delays later when I called to get an update. This created a bit of chaos with other contractors that were supposed to go in after their crew. I would definitely recommend All Seasons and if I use them again, I will be very clear in timelines and make sure that if they have to push back, they call me so I can better coordinate the other contractors. I appreciate John's work and him recognizing the urgency to get me my quote ASAP. For that, I will be back when my next house looks like it needs foundation work.
