Some brickwork is cracked around suspended arches and cornerstone decorative pieces (e.g. above garage doors) but obviously has been for decades. I specifically called Cornerstone because I wanted a serious contractor who does actual poured footings, not that stacked cylinder mess that could actually crack your foundation worse as they use your house for the jack leverage. Dave was on time, courteous and (given that our appointment was in the middle of the Viral Apocalypse) understanding that I was working from home instead of 'off' for the day of our appointment. We spoke for a bit, he outlined everything well and asked pertinent questions about my reasons for calling, then got down to work inspecting...and recommended no work be done at this time. I offered to pay a service charge but he said that wasn't necessary. We did follow up on the phone briefly (I was busy when he was finished) and I am strongly considering coming back to them for some drainage improvements here and there as precautionary measures. This 30-year-old shed was noticeably uneven due to soil shifting, but they got everything straightened out quickly and efficiently. The entire team was friendly, including Steve, who came out promptly and gave me an estimate, to the in-house office staff, and the crew that came and actually performed the work. We thought we did our due diligence, but they failed over and over again to do what was promised. Shoddy work other companies shocked to see when we asked for quotes to fix what we already paid for. They continually pass you from one person to another hoping you will just give up. Not only is our foundation still not fixed, they have caused extensive additional damage to our home, came onto our property while we were out of town with no notice and no authorization and performed work we did not even authorize. Do NOT use them. You may end up lucky but for the amount you will pay, it isn't worth the risk. At this point, what did we even pay for?!
