Home warranty sent Ace's out. The tech said "I'm gonna get you a new door through your warranty…read morecompany! Promise you! I can do it!"- He told the warranty company I needed everything new. Our company only covers the opener. So of course not covered. He proceeds to tell me that I need new everything and so we ordered all new everything (I don't think that was really accurate but what do I know?). He tells me pick any door I want he will make it fit the quote. I picked a door, he then told me, well not that one. Eventually it was pick between these two doors. I picked a door. The tech repeatedly pressured me to give him a 5 star review even going as far as asking me to "pinky swear" that I would. They were to come back next day to install between 8-12. About an hour later I get a call telling me the door I picked isn't available so basically I got the exact door I didn't want. Next day 8-12, No show. Called dispatch they say he's late and will be there at 1. 1pm comes and goes we call dispatch- he's coming from the Bay Area and won't arrive til around 3pm. We've wasted a whole day. The guy arrives, has an entirely different door also one I hate but ... I need a door so whatever. Then he tells us that he has only the door system and doesn't have the new motor system! So I will have to take another day off work for them to come back w the motor. Next day rolls around no one calls us to set up appointment. I call on the following day, the lady on the phone was super rude like somehow this is MY fault. They set up someone to come next day between 8-12... it's 12pm and they aren't here ... again. A no show- no calls saying they are running late -nothing. I'm still waiting... but this is BS. So far 14 hours of lost wages. I wouldn't use this company. Update: Called to find out where the tech was - they said my appointment is 1-5pm. I wouldn't have made an appointment for 1pm because I had a dental appointment. A tech arrived around 4pm. We told him we wanted to save the garage door opener (motor) cuz it was still working and we were going to use it elsewhere. But when the job was finished tech had cut the wires so it wasn't useable. Then told us it didn't work. But it did cuz I just tested it this morning. Aces called me about this review. They offered a discount of $170 to consider removing this review. The representative, Nadia asked if I wanted to speak to the first technician because he says none of that happened- of course he did- but no I don't wish to speak to him. Nadia then told me it wasn't todays techs fault that he cut the wires on the motor because he can't speak English (he spoke English to us so idk about that) so I said you sent us someone we couldn't communicate with? And she said most people speak Spanish so it wasn't their fault. I told her I was ending the call. Immediately after hanging up - "Mike" the tech who came out on day one was on the phone about removing the review. I told him I felt like I was being harassed. I not sure what is going on with this company but I will tell everyone not to use them. If I could give 0 stars I would.

This left our garage door slightly ajar and was something we needed to have fixed quickly. We sent out a request to a bunch of garage door repair companies and Ryan's garage was quick to reply and get a technician out within an hour. The technician Dan was quick to diagnose the problem and have a replacement ready and fixed. What made a great value was that he explained the problem to me and explained how I could prevent it in the future. Things like this are never cheap but having someone come out and explain how I can make sure this isn't a problem in the future is worth a lot.
