The ease of getting started with Kleen was a 10/10 experience and their communication with me was super fast. I was able to get same-day service after inquiring. Wow! During the cleaning while I was out of the house, I got professional communication from Gabriela on Team 25 with a question. Hearing directly from the person in my home was more helpful than a central office, so I appreciated that. It built trust and I felt at ease. Now, here's where things get really exciting... When I came home, and opened the door, I was smacked in the face with a lovely, non-toxic scent and my tiny but cute-as-a-button place was gleaming. Superficially, the house looked amazing - cobwebs from ceiling to floor? Vanished. Dust bunnies in between my giant plant collection? Outta there. Every surface perfectly polished? Of course. But what unfolded over the next several hours felt like I was a little kid on Christmas morning...as my partner and I went about our day, we'd yell to each other, "Oh my gosh, they cleaned there!?" "Wait - they did THAT!?" "I didn't expect them to do THAT!" "I didn't realize that could even BE cleaned!" It happened about 10 times that afternoon and even a few times the next day. My total happiness score (which is already really high) skyrocketed up about 10 points. Needless to say, this is a decision we wish we had made sooner. They couldn't even wash 2 dishes and instead threw all my stuff including unwashed dishes together in garbage bags (from my own apartment, not even their own) in the corner. Also rolled up my carpet - unvacuumed! They then decided to charge me an extra $50 WITHOUT MY CONSENT because their lazy maids were too slow. Oh and they broke a drawer in the refrigerator. Typical LA experience. Be grossly incompetent, charge 3x what the going rate is in any other part of the country, and then stand proudly with your hands on your hips. I have a 1,044-square-foot apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. It was quite dirty but…read morecompletely empty, so there was no need to organize, rearrange, or move any furniture or belongings--just deep cleaning. The two cleaning ladies did an excellent job restoring both bathrooms and cleaning the refrigerator. They made them look almost brand new, and I was genuinely impressed with their work in those areas. The reason I'm giving three stars is that I originally booked three hours of deep cleaning, but the job ended up taking a total of six hours. Since the service time doubled, I expected the entire apartment to be thoroughly and professionally cleaned. Unfortunately, some areas were missed, including the insides and lower exterior surfaces of the kitchen cabinets, the kitchen and living room walls and baseboards, and the front entry door. In addition, after walking around the apartment in clean socks, my socks turned black, suggesting that the floors were not mopped thoroughly. As a result, my husband and I spent another two hours cleaning the kitchen and living room ourselves. I contacted the manager and requested a refund equivalent to one hour of service. He agreed to refund 30 minutes, explaining that the bathrooms were exceptionally dirty and required much more time than expected. While I understand that the bathrooms took extra effort, I still believe that spending six hours cleaning a completely empty 1,044-square-foot apartment should have resulted in a more complete and professional deep cleaning. Overall, the team did outstanding work on the bathrooms, but the quality of the cleaning in the rest of the apartment did not meet my expectations.
