They have tea sets, plates, ceramic ware, and electric hot plates. The selection is a nice introduction to Ethiopian food. I recommend trying the injera bread made from a grain called teff. Injera has the look and texture of a sponge, but it is quite tasty. The prices are reasonable and the service is friendly. Keep up the excellent work.

As I recall they also had cassava and manioc, which are common in Africa, but not in the U.S. The facilities are clean and well maintained, and the staff is friendly. I got two cans of corned beef ($4.99 each, $9.98), Jamaican champagne drink ($1.99). Keep up the good work.

It's new and a place I'll take visitors to eat in honestly--it's nice and clean inside with Ethiopian jazz playing as well as tv. The Siga wot has Berbere sauce which is what I love but I have to next time ask if they can make it less spicy - my mouth was on fire. The tibs I tried recently and it doesn't have much a distinct flavor like berbere notably does but it was non spicy unless you ate the peppers in it. I prefer the flavor profile of Siga wot so if they can make it non spicy it'll be my go-to to return! I was fascinated with the grocery story market element - never been to an Ethiopian market to know how they make the foods and I'm not tempted to try. The Turkish green apple soda is delicious and sold out quickly but I hope next time they have it again. The owner is sooo nice - all the staff. Go, enjoy!!!

The signage welcomes diners for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Additionally, they have a full service bar and an ATM on-sight. The restaurant can easily accommodate at least 30 guests comfortably. The ambience is relaxed and clean, with traditional table seating, high top seating, and bar seating... something for everyone. Also, the space and restroom both appear to be handicap accessible with ample parking spaces nearby. Service was fast and friendly, with thoughtful recommendations for favorite dishes to enjoy. I ordered the meat and vegetable combination, which was quite elegant and beautiful upon presentation. Likewise, the flavors did not disappoint. Flavors of white and black cumin, cardamom, and other traditional spices were evident in each bite. The combination platter included four varieties of tender beef with quite different flavors as well as two vegetable options which were collards and cabbage with carrots. The final of six offerings included delicious lentils in a tomato base. My only recommendations to improve the experience: -Have Ethiopian music playing in the background to enhance the meal. -Attend to the restroom cleanliness more often, AND offer paper towels to dry hands (instead of the air blower).

I love that these jewels continue to reveal themselves the more we explore the neighborhood, and that my cooking grows ever more adventurous as a result. Husband and I stumbled on African Grocery and Meat Market completely by chance, as we're prone to do in these cases. After a weekly run to Grand Mart, we found ourselves still in need of whole coffee beans for making our morning espressos (sorry, Grand Mart, but Nescafé does not a decent cup of coffee make). We spotted AGaMM as we were loading the car and figured, why not? Africa produces some of the most prized beans in the coffee world, and Ethiopia is generally accepted as the "birthplace of coffee"...perhaps AGaMM would carry a selection. In we went. We were happily welcomed by a woman stocking refrigerators with smoked, dried catfish and tilapia, enrobed in a sheath of smoke from the incense burning near the front door. CDs of world music line the shelves behind the register, and several aisles contain everything from custard powder, cassava, and bulk rice, to enormous, industrial cook pots, plastic laundry baskets, and essential oil diffusers. Everything seemed quite affordably priced, too, like nonstick, double-burner griddles for $16. A gentleman at the back of the store noticed us wandering and asked if he could help. We said we were desperate for coffee, and he apologized saying they don't sell it. He suggested the panaderia a few doors down. As we meandered our way back towards the front of the store, the gentleman called out to us. "Wait, what *kind* of coffee are you looking for? Because this early in the morning I assume you want drip coffee to-go, which we don't sell, but I want to be sure I have given you the right information!" I said we were looking for whole beans. "I have that!" he exclaimed, and led us to the dry goods aisle. Unfortunately, the only beans that AGaMM carries are unroasted Ethiopian coffee "seeds," to be roasted at home, typically in a flat pan over coal for a coffee ceremony, the gentleman informed us. And in that instant, I wanted a flat pan over coal for roasting my own beans.
