I bought a 2006 Honda ridgeline from these criminals and they lied to me. While we were going over…read morethe paperwork, my friend said oh we forgot to check the air conditioning and the salesman whose name was Mike said oh don't worry about that the air conditioner works. You probably could've been a little smarter about it, but I have a tendency to trust people And we later found out halfway home that the air conditioner didn't work and it cost me $550 to get that fixed. When we took it for a test drive there was a noise coming from the wheels and Mike the salesman said that was just rust on the rotors and once it wore off that would be fine and that was another lie, Carr had something wrong with the ball joints and that was another $500 to fix that. The car had been inspected by somebody equally as crooked as they are and the tires were dry rotted and had to replace for another 500+ dollars altogether I spent over $1700 to get the car on the road because I have to have it inspected in another state. When I called GM automotive and spoke to Mike I asked her to send me a check only for the air conditioning considering that he lied about it and he suggested that I drive back two hours to Bel Air and have their guy look at it and I thought is there guy, the criminal that passed the inspection for them too and I told him no and asked him to simply send me a check and I sent him a copy of the invoice and he could speak to mechanic as well if he liked, but they refused and they're criminals and they don't deserve to have honest customers that's for sure. Do not buy a vehicle from these people, don't be stupid like I was

They have insight on problematic issues. They have a nice , courteous staff. Knowledgeable too. My grandmother took me there and told me whatever George tells you to just do it, cause he fixed her Subaru back in the early 80s in Perry Hall. My family have been using the shop since before I was bone. They will bring you back to the old days. The ones your grandfather told you about. When people worked until they got it done right. I like the signs in the office too..like call George if you're not satisfied. I will have to say - this is the place that you can trust for figuring out and fixing the quirks on your car. Like the back door locks that don't open...haha. Thanks G & M for looking after my Grammys car , my dads trucks and now mine.

Within the last two weeks my car was serviced here. I spent $759.28 and my car still doesn't work…read more It was given back to me TWICE more broken then when I gave it to them. (I initially went in for a high pressure power steering line. And then Terry said I needed a power steering pump (twice.. because he blew the first one that I PAID for) and then a rack and pinion) After a few conversations and tears with Terry AND his mechanic.. we couldn't come to any agreement. He constantly stated how the job "wasn't fun" and "its not easy", "I'm here to make money", "You might want to look into getting a new car". His mechanic stated that "I don't know why he would give you your car back like that". Terry admitted to NOT putting my car back on the lift to verify that the part they installed was working properly and nothing else was wrong. He also admitted the power steering pump did function and was fully working when I gave it to them initially. When I picked my car up the first time (5/10/19) the pump was screaming and I had no fluid in the reservoir. I had to take it back two days later and leave it on their lot so it could be looked at Monday morning.. it was leaking fluid so fast. Terry then told me at this point that my rack and pinion was clogged and needed a new one. LOL. This would cost another $700 with an alignment and this included me providing my own part. I had to remove my car by a tow truck from this shop (Kingsville Auto) the second time before something else mysteriously broke on my car that I would have to pay for when it wasn't broken when I gave it to him. It is now at another shop to fix the mess that was created by Kingsville Auto. I am currently seeking to get a FULL refund ($759.28). And if that doesn't happen I will be talking to my lawyer with my witness. I will NEVER come back or recommend anyone else to come here unless you want to lose your car!

I highly recommend Bob's Automotive Repair & Service. I stopped in there to schedule an appointment, and they asked if I could leave my car right then. That was awesome for me. They called me a couple hours later to tell me what the problem was and quoted me a price. A couple more hours and they called to tell me my car was done. That was awesome to me to stop in without an appointment and get my car fixed all in one day. They are all very nice and their pricing is very fair. I felt they were very honest and I would definitely use them again if needed. It was a very good experience working with them.

Charged me $220, ok. Not even 2 full hours later of me driving around to do errands my engine light comes back on. Not only that within a week after me bringing my car to them, my car starts starting and not staying on. This happened 3 times within a span of a week. I got stuck in a garage because my car wouldn't start anymore and a guy my school sent out looked at my oil and said it was dark!! i brought my car BACK to bob's and they then charge me another $200 just to clean out a sensor but on the receipt it says they removed and replaced the sensor (lying on paperwork) and they said this was a new code to pop up. But when I brought my car to autozone before coming to Bob's, they told me the MAF sensor was the issue. Another 3 hours after driving my car from getting their service, my engine light turns back on. They have no respect for clientele and just want to ruin your car so you have to keep coming back to them. I have never been so dissatisfied in my life! Do not go here!

Getting updates was like pulling teeth. He offered me a free oil change, overfilled the reservoir, and broke the seal on my valve cover requiring a gasket replacement, which I had repaired at another shop. The shift linkage issue was fixed by a new steering column. The installation of which caused my turn signal cancelation switch to stop working. Also, the retaining pin to hold the shift lever in place doesn't go all the way through, so it occasionally will come off in my hand if I forget to push that pin in. This leads me to the reason for the review: I've been calling for two weeks to ask which steering column he installed to get replacement parts. When he answers, which is rare, he always tells me he'll find out and call back. I've never gotten a call back. I'll never let this guy touch another vehicle of mine again.

Like everybody, I waited patiently in your thimble-sized office, navigated your comically undersized lot, and quietly appreciated the humor of your staff through the years. Thank you for that. So why today was I met by two new faces at the service desk with such a strikingly different attitude? I was surprised to hear oil changes require advance appointments, and you now prefer online. I mean, sure, I can do that. But when did that change? And why was a technician I've never seen before so condescending about it? He was downright hostile. Then the other guy chimed in and accused me of interrupting him. Honestly, gentlemen, I asked myself, "Is it worth it to schedule an appointment with you, if I know it's going to be you calling me to tell me any additional work that may need to be done? Do I trust the two of you?" The answer in that split-second moment was no. The arrogance, sarcasm, and belittling behavior by this pair made me realize I wouldn't trust these two to be the communicators of my mechanic shop. When I asked where the two old guys went, Kyle said with a smirk, "They went where all old guys go." Um, did they die? No, they retired, thankfully. Old guys from the desk, you are missed by your customers! Maybe it's the same great mechanics working behind closed bay doors at Hollenshade's, I don't know. Two guys I've never seen before told me things about how the business works that I've never heard before and treated me in a way no one at Hollenshades ever treated me before. Which leads me to the conclusion that this is not the same Hollenshade's I've trusted for over 20 years. I'm genuinely disappointed that I need to find a new mechanic. I honestly don't know what's happening at Hollenshade's anymore.
