PLEASE READ Former employee of Phillips Cheating and Fooling with 10 years experience, After working extremely hard for this company and blowing other people out of the water in sales. I found they where doing rushed installs, and not following proper procedure. This will lead to premature system failure. I was let go for pushing this subject, threatened not to say anything about it. They also held $7,000 in commission from me(likely more since its stored in their system and I have no access to sales I made later. AVOID this company like the plague. Its a shame because customers don't know anything about the industry so there are a lot of unscrupulous businesses out there, being in the industry this long I have NEVER seen a company that abused this trust as much as Philips. I've been threatened by law suits, given 1/5 of the money I'm entitled to with them suggesting me to take it and count my losses. So I will have to take them to court. This has caused me more trouble, relationship issues, trouble paying my mortgage. All for money I'm entitled to. They made the lions share of the profits and absolutely refuse to give me what I'm owed. I got halfway through a job installing my own Google Nest Thermostat when I hit a snag with it not getting power. I checked every option the internet could tell me and luckily I was able to find Jack and Phillips Heating & Air Conditioning. Jack swung by and helped me troubleshoot the issue, noting things to remember (for me a first time homeowner) and things that may not have been done "normally" like wire colors and where they go to. Overall it took us about an hour of working through the issue, but we found that I... genius that I am... didn't shut off the HVAC directly so I blew a fuse while installing the unit. One quick fuse exchange later, I am up and running and will be bragging to my loved ones how I (me myself, with no help of anyone else) installed the Nest unit all on my own. After getting a few quotes, we chose Phillips based on Marian's expertise, their excellent customer service, and clear communication. They scheduled our installation in time to beat the triple-digit temperatures, which we really appreciated. Everyone we interacted with--the owner, the technician, and the installers--was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. We did have a mishap during installation when one of the installers missed a rafter in the attic and accidentally put a leg through our ceiling. Honestly, things happen--and the way the company handled it made us feel completely at ease. They addressed it quickly and thoroughly. My parents have been using Phillips for years for the entire HVAC system of my childhood home. My father was always pleased with the service he recieved and the prompt arrival of the technician. When the central AC in house my girlfriend and I purchased started running weak she decided to call one of the competing local service companies that had dropped flyers in our neighborhood. After 3 missed appointments no savings was going to be worth time wasted. Within a day we had a new appointment scheduled with Phillips and the technician arrived during the designated time. The technician(Ian) was able to diagnose a problem with the original installation of the system, saved us a fair deal of money, and when he left we had a wonderfully cold breeze. So impressed. Friday afternoon before a holiday weekend, and my furnace was out. It is 17 degrees out, and not much warmer inside. The furnace was over 20 years old and I was so worried it was dead. Ian showed up, and was very polite. Was careful to close doors (dogs in house), wiped his feet off, etc. He took a look at the furnace, told me what he suspected and what he had to check, diagnosed the issue, made a call or two, gave me a reasonable price, explained exactly what he was going to do, and had the job completed before I knew it. had another company come out and do a maintence on both houses i have... the guy was pushy and tried a bunch of scare tactics to get me to spend $26000 for two entire new units... so i called jim. he sent out a tech, her name is marian. she was super knowledgeable and told me that, while the units were old, they seem in good working order.. just the one system probably has a little leak and that in due time, it would need to be addressed. she added 2lbs of refrigerant and boom, the house is cool again! i highly recommend using this company, as their honest and when you dont have the money to spend on a whole new unit, they got me back up and running for a few hundred bucks! read more

Phillips is fantastic. Trustworthy, honest, and hardworking. They install high quality furnaces and really know what they are doing. They recently came to my aid when a fraudulent company (Gillece) tried to tell me my furnace had been "fried" by an electrical surge and needed to be replaced. Learn from my experience -- Carrier furnaces can withstand a lot! They are built with redundancies to protect them from power surges. Phillips had my furnace running again in less than an hour. It needed no new parts. Some simple adjustments and it was good as new. I will never trust anyone else besides Phillips for my HVAC needs. read more

I needed a whole house A/C unit and Phillip's was called. Phillip's sent a crew (Eon and Mike) to install new CARRIER A/C unit. These guys were complete professional installers. They worked so well together. Any questions i had were answered completely. ALL operating systems were checked and reviewed with homeowner. They were also very clean and respectful throughout the day. The value was also GREAT! Other companies were contacted for appraisals but none could compare with Phillip's. I had them install my furnace and was so pleased the next year I had them install central air. I had one problem over a weekend when my furnace wouldn't start. (switching from a/c to furnace) and a repairman came without complaint. There was a small issue with the a/c install that was discovered on the yearly check. The repairman was honest and fixed the issue and didn't charge me for the yearly check. They made it right! So happy to see a company accept responsibility for a problem they could easily cover up. We have a very old AC and Furnace in the house and recently gave out this summer. We were originally told by another company that we needed to replace the AC unit, but we called Phillips for a second opinion. We got Bob who discovered the motor to the fan in our furnace died and that was why the AC wasnt working.
