This is by far my favorite nail salon, so I'm really surprised by some of the negative reviews on here! I've been going to JT for about two years now and have always had a great experience. The owner and staff are so friendly, and the pedicures I get here are probably the best I've ever had. I have the stereotypical feet of a runner, and they have always taken the time to get them back into shape and ready for sandals! Definitely worth the (very affordable) price. read more

I went here to get my nails done and the first time was great. When I went back and older guy did the fill.. when he was done it wasn't what I expected.. That night the paint started chipping and the nails started lifting the next morning..I went back to see if they would fix them. He filed at them and pretended to glue. I want to warn others if you go to JT Nails don't let him do your nails..and don't bother trying to get any problems fixed this shop won't period. read more

Stopped in on a snowy day in search of a last minute mani/pedi. The staff was friendly and very willing to accommodate my request without an appointment. It was noon, I know shame on me. The salon was clean and I only waited 5 minutes before I was seated in the pedicure throne. My nail tech was extremely friendly and Best of all they spoke English to each other. My visit wasn't the best. I went twice three weeks apart. The first time I went in for a coffin shape. they weren't straight, they weren't the same shape, nor the same length. My second visit the nail tech I was assigned to he pulled back my cuticles causing them too bleed. He didn't paint the full nail. It felt like he was half assing it. Both times I got the same guy and did not leave happy. The women and JT himself were very welcoming, they both did a great job on my sister's nails but sadly mine were not done to my liking. If I go back I will not let the older man do my nails. This is a picture of the end results on my second visit. I originally went to JD Day Spa, but it was a 45 minute wait. Either the manager or owner (I think) recommended I go see her husband at JT Nails (about a 2 blocks away). I'm assuming JD Salon and Spa and JT nails are owned by the same family as I can't see a business turning away clients and recommending somewhere else. I was grateful that she did that as I didn't want to wait 45 minutes just for a gel manicure. When I arrived at JT nails I was welcomed by the woman's husband (who knew I was coming) and was seen right away! The shop was clean and spacious. There was only one other client getting her nails done. I forgot the name of the nail tech that did my gel manicure, but she was very nice and made small talk while she worked on my nails. I would definitely came back again! I got gel French manicure for $33(tax included)+tip. read more

Very disappointed. The staff was friendly. However, the older gentleman who helped me did a very poor job. During the fill I had to point out missed corners, his response was that the polish was very light. A very lack luster job indeed. As you can see, the gel is not shaped properly and is all over my cuticles. My business will be taken elsewhere in the future and I will likely have them redone soon because I cannot stand to look at them. They look like I did them. Not a professional. Note to owner: From what I hear, you are AMAZING with you sets and that you personally do quality work. But your staff does not. They are very kind, yes! But they need training!! Your shop will not continue to succeed for the next 10-15 years with your skills only. Do your customers a favor and conduct quality checks! This is not good for your business! This was my first time visiting this nail salon since I'm new to Leavenworth. The staff is really nice but honestly nothing was cleaned or new that was used to do my nails or toes. The gel paint job on my toes is probably the worst I've ever had done. Same with my nails. I came in for a full new set and pedicure and paid $110. My nails started lifting and getting caught on my hair 2 days after and now it's been a week and ALL of them are lifting and catching my hair. I've never felt the want or need to ask for a refund until now. Like I'm honestly extremely dissatisfied with this place. Save your money and go to Kansas City honestly. read more

I used to go there after we moved to the area. The owner is awesome and so are all of the workers, except the older guy that sits right behind the owner. I stopped going there because I left so dissatisfied and he made my fingers bleed in several areas. They were so bad that I called and went in and the owner fixed them. He does a wonderful job! I quit going because I always got stuck with that same guy. I just went back not even two weeks ago thinking that guy would be gone. Nope I got him again and my nails are the worst they have ever been. I have had several come off and I never have a nail come off after going a full month, if I go to regal nail at Legends walmart. I can't stand the guy and will probably never go back because of him. read more

*BETTER THAN AVERAGE SERVICE* I walked in for an appointment during the week in the late afternoon (5pm). They were totally free with only 4-5 clients. What I really loved is the extra care the salon lady gave my toes - I have one nail that I busted during a hike that is still growing back, and she filed it carefully to make it look nice. She also spent extra time on my heel calluses and that was appreciated. Honestly, I didn't expect to find a decent nail salon in Ft Leavenworth - but it's just as good as any in KCMO, for example. Price is about $5 cheaper too. :-) Note: I looked up this place for reviews and only saw one and it was negative - I risked going and found it to be great. They are very nice! But the lady that did my french pedicure barely touched my feet; she had a distasteful look on her face as if she did not like her job. The white tips she painted on my toes were crooked and she tried to clean them up and make them nice, but I don't think she has the skills. Did a walk in for a mani and pedi today. I'm very disappointed with the level of expertise of my nail tech. My nail tech was friendly, but he cut my thumb and my full set of nails are way too thick and it has so much bubbles in nearly all the nails! I also had pedicure and I honestly, could have done a much better job doing it on myself at home. Not to mention, after they finished my pedi, the nail tech didn't even clean the tub and let another client use it! That's just unethical and unhygienic! 2 stars because I love the owner so much and he us very we'll rounded and makes the walk in wait, which is forever on a Friday, feel slightly better. My first trip here was only for a pedi and I left sad due to the poor paint job. I'm sure she seen the lighter spots on the top of almost every nail. My husband has to get a mani for work so I tried this place once more. FAIL ! I came in for a color change on toes ( nomore pedi's here at all ! ) and a shellac mani. Smh my shellac is runny and under the heat started to wrinkle up and fall to the side. Again with the paint coverage, tops lighter then the bottom. How do you mess up this?!? They are going to fix it, I hope but I think I will go home unhappy again. Last time here, never again for any of their services. Sorry. Beauty store here I come. I walked in on my crutch shortly after 5 as a walk in as online it said they're open til 6 & I was told walk ins are welcome. When I told the lady who "greeted" me I wanted to look at their service list, she very rudely told me they're already done for the day. When I tried to explain my situation, she looked at my crutch, scoffed & said "We're already done for the day! Maybe next time you should book an appointment." then walked away from me. We went in for pedicures on a Saturday morning. They advertise that they take walkins so we thought we would be okay. Unfortunately we arrived before their scheduled appointments and the nail techs decided to rush our pedicures. One of us ended up with orange nail paint on and AROUND her nails. They also failed to remove caluses from all of our feet. At other Salons where prices are similar the techs remove all caluses. But, it was obvious when their scheduled appointments showed up that we weren't getting out of the way. I think we will try other salons in the area. read more

JT nails is definitely not my go to place anymore. I love JD day spa and I love Dao but when I came into JT I got an older man who I'm guessing was her husband. I felt completely and totally rushed during the whole time I was getting my acrylics done. As he was filing my nail with the E-file, he went really deep into my nail while he was on the phone twice. Once on my left index finger and again on my right ring finger. By the time he was finished with everything, both fingers were completely sore. It was a horrible pain and he basically shrugged it off when I told him he hurt me. He just wanted to get me done so I could pay and he could get the next client. The service was not what I had heard from friends and I will definitely be sticking with JD day spa for all of my beauty upkeeps. read more

I have been here several times, the first thing I will say is you are much better off making an appointment, even if you call same day. I have noticed walk-ins tend to be disappointed and annoyed at the wait. Over all though, the owner is very nice, the place is very clean and welcoming. If I could give zero stars I would. I was Trying something new ended in a bad experience. Poor customer service and they are willing to let customers who are paying more go ahead of customers who are getting something basic. Example: a gel customer vs full set..the full set would come before the gel no matter who got there 1st. The wait was unreasonable and the time quoted was not close to the time services. The service was poor and I lowered my service due to to the wait. I WILL not return!!! I should have gone to US nails. Which was my 1st choice based on Yelp reviews. Oh and one last thing, even the customers with appointments had to wait. I am disgusted with the poor service. read more

Unfortunately 0 stars is not an option. I generally get a pedicure every other week, often once a week... Of all the good or bad pedicures I've had.. They take the cake on the worst. My nails look terrible. Like they weren't even touched with a file. It was actually mildly entertaining when I told them "I really hate to tell u but this was an awful pedicure" and showed how bad my nails and skin looked. They replied ... "Oh" That's all.... I got the pedicure with my sister.... She wasn't impressed, but hers was slightly better.... Still the massage lasted maybe 2 (maybe) minutes per leg. Just bad...or sad.... This is not the best place I have been too. Their designs were nice, and I loved my nails. But, they forgot to put a top coat on. I let them dry for 1 hour without barely touching anything. Then they smeared and they came of and chipped and never dried 3 hrs after I got them done. Total waste of money. They do well on designs and painting, just not long lasting and pretty expensive from my perspective. I barely touched a thing for an hour and they smeared and came off 3 hrs after I got them! Yes I was pissed! And I called to complain and they didn't answer the phone so it was a total waste of money! read more

Was okay, long wait time so they rushed thru my acrylic nails which in turn made me not want to return. I now go to USA Nails and love it!
