DO NOT GO HERE. Charged me an extra 5 dollars for "almond" shaped nails- they were oval at best. My total was $55 dollars- they looked horrible so I only tipped $5. 1) EXPENSIVE. I've never paid over $40 for a full set of glitter acrylic powder and I've been getting my nails done for over 6 years consistently every month. They start at $50 for a full set. 2) DO NOT LAST. My nails popped off within one week. Completely off. So what a waste of $50! -they looked nice but had some spots of inconsistency in color. There were bubbles left on some of my nails after they dried. + I had a long wait time. -I appreciated them while they lasted, but they didn't last and I had to go to another nail shop and get another full set the next week which was a huge waste of time and money. (I've now had the nails from the other nail shop for a month and my nails still look perfect) -the pedi was my favorite part and lasted the longest. First experience was good. Second experience was a nightmare. The man who did my dip manicure realized halfway through the color wasn't what we thought, snd instead of taking it off and starting over, he tried to fix it with a different color and it ended up being horrible. He also made every single one of my fingers bleed. When I politely asked if we could fix it both the manager snd the man who did them both YELLED at me and said all they could so was our gel polish on top of the dip. I am SO pleased!! I have been searching and searching for a good and reasonable nail salon in the KC (Kansas side) area and Envy Nails happened to be right next to my gym! I was looking for nail places in the area and envy nails caught my attention due to the numerous different designs and the wonderful reviews. And let me tell you, they did not disappoint. I was a walk in but I was able to get an appointment for an hour after I came in and they got me in right at the time they told me. They play movies so the wait wasn't bad at all. The man who worked on my nails was very meticulous and despite the shop closing before my nails were done he did not rush through any part of the process. The people that work there are amazing and they know what they are doing. Friendly staff that chats for that small town salon feel or they sit quite for that spa relaxing feeling. The recommend what works for you. I got gel pedi and mani for my wedding. Usually gel peels off my nails in 2 weeks but they did such an amazing job. My toes never chipped in the sandy beach and my fingers still have polish that hasn't chipped after 4 weeks. This review is based only on the one young female tech who likes to treat her customers horribly. (see other reviews) I don't appreciate getting hand jerked and slapped, the eye's rolling, the deep breaths and long exaltation of air making it obvious how she hates her work, also her spending most of her time on her cell phone, listening to music and humming a horrible tune she can't sound out well. She kept repositioning my hand telling me to hold still which was impossible once she upset me. (no one else ever has complained about the positioning of my hand) I don't know how I kept from exploding with anger! I believe she was deliberately trying to hurt me. She needs to seek employment elsewhere, maybe a bar bouncer would be good for her. However the other people in this shop seem to be ok. I'm going to give the place one more chance, but will refuse to let that particular tech; the one that slapped my hand to ever work on me again. If they send her to me...I will refuse on the spot and tell everyone in there why! Really hope the next experience will be better. I do love this location; close to home. I have been to many nail salons and I can say without a doubt I have never been treated so badly. I went here for a mani/pedi because it is close. The woman doing my nails clearly did not enjoy her job and lacked any customer service skills. She made both of my big toes bleed, burnt me with a hot towel, ruined my pants by getting lotion and scrub on them and treated me like I was an idiot. When I said something to her about my pants she told me they were fine, "it's just lotion". She also never apologized for hurting me, but rather treated me like it was my fault! I literally could not do anything right. She snapped at me several times for not holding my hands or feet right. She also pulled on my hands, rolled her eyes and slammed my elbow onto the table. She was very rude and rough. Several days later and my toes still hurt. I'm hoping there isn't an infection. My basic manicure sucks. I went home and rebuffed my nails as they were really rough and uneven. She didn't polish them. Only a coat of base coat rather than a clear topcoat. My suggestion would be to either find a different line of work or take some customer service classes. I've been a cosmetologist for 25 years and would never treat a client like that. As for the salon, I can only assume it was dirty because it was late in the afternoon. No one could pay me to go back to this place. I have little nicks all over my cuticles on both feet and hands. If I do indeed have an infection from her lack of skill and consideration, I will be making a report to the Kansas state board of cosmetology. read more

Made an appt for 10am, arrived at 10am. 2 of the 3 employees was late. Vance (the young man who was on time for work) took care of the 3 customers that showed up for the 10am appts. Good job Vance! The older woman doing my pedicure paid more attention to the cars driving by outside rather than my feet. She acted like she was clipping cuticles... worst pedicure I have ever had. $27 for basic pedicure.... she offered the more expensive pedicures. No thank you. Do yourself a favor and request Vance! The best and longest lasting gel nail polish I've ever had!

I had rated this shop at 5-stars once. Unfortunately, this store is under new management, again. After bringing the shop up to excellent 5-Star conditions, the owners built a new shop & moved on & left this store to be run by people who do sloppy work, work they've MAJORLY raised the price on. My fill/pedi that used to cost about $80 WITH the tip, now cost me $100 without! It's been less than two weeks, and the fills have popped on over half of them. Next, I wanted chin/lip wax, but cost on all has gone up & they've split it into sections! What once was "chin" wax is now lower lip, chin above jaw line & chin below jaw line. What had cost me $9 is now $27!!! Eke! Needless to say, unless things straighten up there QUICKLY - well, let's say I'm shopping for a new shop! read more

I go there all the time and today I got a new guy that I had never seen before and he was friendly. I went in to get a fill and he did a very poor job with the acrylic..he got it all around my cuticles, also when he was filing them..he was being very rough. I got gel and the gel was done VERY poorly, very bumpy and streaky. I noticed he didn't do a clear bottom coat..instead he did 3 coats of the colored gel..don't know if that might have anything to do with it? Also one of my nails was VERY uneven thickness wise not length. Shape was very nice but it was a fill so the shape was already there. Envy nails isn't my typical nail salon I go to but my other salon was completely booked. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding so I really wanted to do something relaxing. I have never been treated so badly. They lady who was doing my nails was very ruff and extremely rude to me. Apparently to her I wasn't holding my wrist or hand correctly. Every time I would turn the wrong she would jerk my wrist and say "stop doing that". Next it was my fingers I was holding them wrong and she couldn't be more clear about. She would keep jerking my hand and tell me stop. Then she would huff so loud just to make it very obvious I was doing something wrong. I just wanted to cry or yell because I have never had someone be so rude to me. I have been getting my nails done for almost 8 years now. No one has ever made it seem like I was a problem.
