For the people out there that like places such as Cold Stone Creamery, Bruster's is even better in my opinion. The staff is usually friendly and helpful in helping customers make a decision. They will let you sample any flavor if you want to try one. As for the ice cream, it is smooth, rich, and delicious and comes in a variety of unique flavors. They have all the staples including chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry, but the rotating-unique flavors are where the real fun is. I am a fan of the chocolate mudslide and the cappuccino and my wife likes anything loaded with chocolate and peanut butter. Most of the time, I order a milkshake, but sometimes there is nothing like the hot and cold combination of cinnamon-vanilla ice cream on an apple dumpling. It is important to note that Bruster's is an outdoor counter-service ice cream shop and the lines can get long during peak season, but the wait is worth it. There is some limited seating to the side of the building featuring red benches and umbrellaed tables. All of these features make this place an ideal summertime stop. The next time you are looking for quality ice cream, be sure to give Bruster's a try.

I first viewed the app and signed up to receive notifications of when my favorite flavors were available, and to receive points every time I ordered from Bruster's. What a wonderful operation they had there I thought to myself. But now I had to go see the place and try out the ice cream itself to see if it deserved all the recognition it was getting. I arrived at the building and was impressed that there was no indoor seating for the place. The great variety of ice creams occupied the inside of the building. There were many glass windows where you could see inside and the menu was on big signed attached to the windows. There was an ordering and pay window on one side of the building and a pick-up window on the other side of the building. On this side there were also some benches where one could sit on a warm day to eat their ice cream. As we approached the ordering window, we were greeted by a gentleman who had on a very bright red t-shirt and a red crab hat. He took our order and charged us which by the way the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the ice cream. We both ordered two scoops of Pumpkin Cheesecake Ice Cream inside a Waffle nest inside a bowl. The same person who took our order, Ryan, went and served our ice creams and brought them to the pick-up window. All this leading up to the first taste and wow was this ice cream flavorful and creamy! I savored every bit of it and highly recommend this place to all you ice cream lovers like myself. I promise you, you won't be disappointed. On the other hand you'll be amazed at the taste and the experience would make you want to come back and tell your friends about it!

I ate half of it and half of the delicious potato salad. It also came with hush puppies, which were just ok - a little doughy for me. My husband got vinegar based pulled pork and baked beans and he thought they worked well together. I prefer the KC bbq sauce to the other options, the tomato bbq sauce tasted more like a sweet weak salsa to me and I personally don't care for vinegar. I think I'd probably order the same thing again next time, though I was a little curious about the burgers (which come either as double 2oz smash burgers or a 5 oz regular burger for a small upcharge.) They also have lots of desserts that sound good but we didn't try any this trip. They have Cheerwine!

We discovered Three Li'l Pigs perhaps because it is conveniently located off of I-81 whether you are traveling north like us or south. So, you travellers this is a location for some GREAT Q!! I've lost track of how many years we've stopped but we've had Ginger wait on us more than once. You've got to start with the fried pickles but after those are devoured just go your own way. Sauces are fantastic but the hot is HOT (I buy bottles for home every year because I love superb hot sauce with a kick!). Not even sure where to start on the food so let's just say it's all delicious ... service is wonderful... the outdoor patio comforting ... And, if you are like me you hate getting back on the road but we will be back next year!! Oh, don't forget to buy a bottle or two of their peach ketchup you'll use it up by next year!! Oh ... FYI there's a "KID MENU" for kids 12 and under AND 65 & over that includes a lil pig bbq sandwich and more!! Great idea for older kids with limited budgets who are not that hungry.

The first thing I noticed was its pink sign above the shop that read: "Sweet P's NOW OPEN / Ice Cream Games Family Fun." You could tell it had reasantly been screwed in because the tip of the screws were still showing. There was a wooden painted caricature of an ice cream cone standing in front of the shop, on the large windows were painted other ice creams, and two signs. One read "Hershey's Ice Cream Proudly Served Here." And the other one read "Real Milkshakes Sold Here." So I decided to go in and find out more about this shop. A friendly young lady behind the counter greeted me and answered some of my questions about the shop, its ice-cream creams, and its other services that it provides. I found out that the shop had ope6not that long ago. That it was locally owned and operated, and served Hershey's Ice Cream. Besides this it also had many video games and board games, and lots of entertainment options, as well ss several buble gum and candy machines, and many stuffed animals for sale. They also had a large party room which they rented for parties at $50, but if you bought $100 or more of their ice cream to be consumed by your party quests, they would waive the rental fee. Currently they were also having a Puzzle Swap, where you can bring a puzzle and swap it for another one there. I was happy to have found this place because it provided an opportunity for families to celebrate their children's birthday at a reasonable price, throughout all Seasons of the year. Afterwards, I looked at the ice creams and ordered a medium cup of Peanut Butter Pie ice cream. It was so cold, creamy, and delicious, that I ate it and went on my way. Looking forward to writing this review for the benefit of the families in our community.

One always has a delightful dining experience here. Today, I decided to dine there on the way to going to watch the Actic Productions musical of Into The Woods which was being performed at the D. Geraldine Lawson Performing Arts Center in Fincastle, Virginia. I arrived soon after they had opened at four in the late afternoon. A friendly young lady greeted me at the Host's station right at the entrance of the restaurant and after asking me where would I prefer to seat, took me to the table of my choice. Studying the menu it was not easy to choose what to get from the great variety of dishes. But by the time my sever Kaylee arrived with a big smile and welcoming attitude I had made my decision. I would start off with a Mojito Mocktail to drink. As appetizer I ordered their Coconut Shrimp, followed by a House side salad with Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing. And as my main entrée, their 8oz Filet cooked medium-rare. I asked the server for the items to be spaced out and to have the salad before the main entrée. The Mojito Mocktail tasted wonderful. As I was enjoying it a young gentleman server assistant brought me the Coconut Shrimps and they looked amazing. They were enormous in size, very crispy on the outside and fresh and moist in the inside. One of the best that I have ever had. I invite you to view my photographs accompanying this review to get a better sense of the place and the high-quality of their food. Then came the salad which also looked and tasted wonderful. Almost right after bringing me the salad, they brought me the main entrée of the Filet cooked to perfection with a loaded Baked Potato. I don't like when this happens, but the food was so good that I patiently ate it and then asked to speak to the manager. There was no manager on site but the person in charge of the kitchen came to see me and I explained the concept of timing to him as a constructive criticism, letting him know that everything was so exquisite that I was not upset, just wanted him to know so that in the future when this is corrected both the other customers and I could have a more pleasant dining experience and enjoy our food better. For dessert I had their Strawberry Shortcake and it was amazingly delicious with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream in the middle. This was the Grand Finale of an excellent meal. The incident of the timing, suddenly didn't seem to matter that much because they took my feedback gracefully and I was able to teach them a lesson in fine dining. In conclusion I continue to highly recommend this restaurant and am looking forward to returning to try one of their other amazing items from their menu.
