I just wanted to update: The GM called me, he said he saw me leave a complaint with Hardees and this review on Yelp. We spoke for almost 20 minutes on the phone. He was very apologetic and sympathetic about this experience. He stated he went back and watched the video from the store and could see that the way the store handled the situation was inappropriate and he plans on speaking with the people involved at the store. He offered me a refund and a free replacement of the food. I told him it was only $5 and I wasn't worried about a refund I didn't know if I was comfortable going back after that but he insisted he would keep my name on the books if I ever changed my mind. I was impressed with how he handed it as some GM back their team up and did not have compaction for the customer and this was not the case whatsoever and I appreciate that very much. read more

I'm surprised this place is still open. For one thing it is pretty dirty. One employee was wandering around "looking for something" though from where he was looking, this missing item was quite abstract. Only one employee was working the window and the cash register and bagging food. He was moving at an incredibly slow pace. I don't know what the one or two people in the kitchen were doing but it didn't seem that they were making food. In the 17 minutes I have been standing here so far I only saw one order get filled. This is undoubtedly the worst Hardee's that I have ever visited. I got the Big Star burger combo at the drive-through. The burger was flat, not even a quarter of an inch... and it was stale, almost hard. It looked like it might've been left over from the day before. I should've sent it back. It was nasty! The fries were loaded with salt. I didn't add any. I wish I had looked at reviews before I stopped. It looks like there are more bad reviews. Money is tight. Absolute S#!T show of a fast food place. Employees yelling from the line that they don't have things (after multiple had already been ordered). 3 tables were occupied when I walked in, all of their orders were wrong or incomplete, numerous people waiting to order, none of which were helped in a timely fashion nor even greeted nor had anyone say "we will be right with you", nothing. Did you want napkins with your order?? You better get them when you get your food because there are none near the drink station or near the condiments or anywhere else. I wish technology would allow us to smell through our phones. This disgusting excuse for a chicken tender made my entire house smell like a fryer that had caught fire. Since most of the reviews are old, let me update everyone. Pulled into the drive-thru at about 10:30am, left with food at 11:24 (NOT a typo), and there was an item missing from my order. Nothing has changed here. The food was obviously fresh, but it better be if it takes that long! Bottom line, if you don't have the staff to run your restaurant, CLOSE DOWN. It's not fair to the two or three people you have to make them take abuse from justifiably angry customers and you won't get new employees because they know you'll still be understaffed. Well what can I say its Hardees. I was in a hurry and needed food, its supposed to be fast. I ordered a burger and told them to hold the onions. I got my order it wasn't that fast but it was OK, opened my burger box and what did I find on my burger? a great big pile of onions. I think when I asked to hold the onions they thought I meant put extra onions on. This wasn't a surprise since there is a bunch of kids working in the place, and its more of hang out for them than work. Customers just get in their way. In the past I have also found the prices listed on the drive thru sign isn't accurate and they will gladly argue with you that what they are charging is whats on the sign even when its not. This restaurant is going down hill fast. My service truck will not fit in the drive thru. In 2020 during the pandemic this location allowed ordering inside most of the time. Now you can't. I've been having to order at the window. Half the time the food is cold. If you can get service at all. My last stop the doors were locked so we stood at the window and never seen anyone. Ended up going to McDonald's and got helped right away inside. Will start planning on stopping elsewhere from now on. read more

A older man that I think was a cook came up to me and asked how do you like my nails and telling me the price and it was very disturbing . I really didn't wanna stay and eat afterwards he kept talking and talking and I felt to uncomfortable to eat with him near me. Well, I never had Hardee's before so since I'm in Virginia for a few days so I thought I'd give it a shot. Went to the Troutville location and let's just say I wasn't exactly impressed. First off, the service was so slow it took us over an hour to have lunch in a fast food joint. Ordered a basic burger and fries combo which was just okay. The chicken strips were just ordinary served with barbecue sauce that tasted the same as anywhere else. One thing going for it is that it's dirt cheap. So my first time ever trying Hardee's was a bummer. But hey, it's fast food so what are we expecting here folks? read more

I know the reviews are all over the place. Its a Hardee's not a Ritz Carlton. The employees were polite. We stopped here for a really quick bite to eat. Always get the ham and cheese sandwiches. They were great. Food was normal price for a Hardee's and was served very quickly. Bathrooms were clean. Have no issues with stopping here again. read more

I've been to this location about 4-5 times since moving to Troutville in 2015. Like others said, the food is ALWAYS COLD. I even did the survey letting them know this (No one ever responded). Their tea always tastes old and one time, someone clearly forgot to add sugar to the already not good tea. This location is less than 5 min from my house, but I'll either drive to Williamson Rd where my food is hot (but they always forget something), or even further to the one on Orange Ave where my food will be HOT and ACCURATE. The only good thing I can say about this location is that the workers have been very polite every time I've visited. Politeness is not going to keep me paying for cold food and nasty tea though, sorry. read more
