Since the transaction was charged on my credit card, I expected to see my account debited and credited at the same time. After a few days, I received no credit to my account, only a debit was posted of $5.29. I called the store, Store 229, 7126 Friendship Rd, Pittsville, Md. and a lady explained to me that it takes 10 to 15 days for my account to be credited. Today is Sept. 10, 2018, I have not received a credit. I called again and a lady said that I need to bring in my receipt as proof of refund. After I tried to explain to her that it charged to my checking account, she hung up on me. My name and address: George Langford 85 Orchard Creek Lane Rochester, New York 14612. This is a very poor business practice and I will report this incident to the Maryland Attorney General if I do not receive my refund soon. While the amount of money is small, it is tantamount to stealing. I do have a receipt, and I will send them a copy also.

I immediately noticed the cashier was wearing her mask improperly below her nose. I didn't mention it initially allowing her time to adjust it. Unfortunately, she didn't know how to process the gift card even attempting to call someone (using her cell phone) for assistance. While trying to figure it out, she removed her mask. I asked her to replace her mask and place to properly over her nose (as suggested by the CDC and every other health professional.) She quickly stated that she will not cover her nose because she has asthma and it's a detriment to her health to do so. I responded that her failing to do so is a detriment to me and the community. She followed up by saying it's only a danger if particles were "fly out of her nose." Like her, I also have preexisting conditions as well and as uncomfortable as it may be I understand the importance of protecting myself and others from Covid-19. Furthermore, to have someone servicing the public who blatantly disregards safety protocols while risking the safety of the community (and herself) is appalling. Needless to say, I left the store without purchasing gas.

We ordered DayQuil and cough drops, expecting exactly that... but when our bag arrived, it also included two packets of honey and a handwritten note that said, "Hope you feel better soon!!" That tiny act of kindness completely made our night. It was thoughtful, unexpected, and honestly just the sweetest thing after a long travel week. Thank you for reminding us that customer service isn't dead -- it's alive, well, and apparently working the late shift at Wawa. We'll never forget this

That was an odd response. First, the store did not issue a receipt; second, all items should be subject to returns unless you buy an item like coke bottle and opened it. When I tried to explain the situation about the umbrella, he wanted to show flexibility and buy another umbrella the same size - they didn't have one - then he changed his mind and offered to buy something else - no refunds/no returns- but why? Why do I have to buy something that I don't need. However, since we were on the beach area, I said ok, I will look for a beach chair. All of a sudden, he saw that the umbrella had traces of sand, then, he changed his mind again and said "no returns - you must keep it." If the umbrella was placed in the trunk with chairs from the beach then there was sand. So, I decided to leave the store at once. Definitely an unacceptable way to run business and misleading customers by selling items like umbrellas for a beach use that are in fact for patio use - do whatever to make a profit .
