LaTortilla is one of our favorite restaurants we knew the owner also owns Juanes Mexican Grill too. Since it was a beautiful day, we decided to take the motorcycles to check it out. We ordered lunch on the front deck. It really is a nice outside seating and serving area. We had great service. Staff was friendly and not perfectly attentive, but good. I had a quick trip to the facilities inside. The restaurant was very clean. A big plus considering COVID-19. Had a great lunch. I had the fajita chicken salad. Was too much for me to finish and delicious. My spouse had the 3 soft shell beef tacos. All was good. Definitely will visit them again. You should too! read more

Always wanted to try them out but timing was never right. Today was the day. The chips came fast with two dipping sauces, the regular one and chorizo. Ok sauces and chips better than most. I ordered the steak fajitas and wifey the chili tamal. The steak fajitas were plentiful but routine. The chili tamal was a steak chimichanga split in two with a tamale in the center. The chili tamal was ok but not great. Service, friendliness, and atmosphere were great worthy of a four. Food was a three at best. read more

So I was at my Battalion helping out for the day and this was one of the restaurants they went to regularly. So y'all know that I love Mexican food, so I decided to do a comparison of their shrimp nachos to another restaurant. I had gotten their shrimp nachos and it came pretty quickly and I was impressed by the presentation and smell of the food. But I the taste of the food didn't live up to the hype of the smell and all. The shrimp were grilled but tasted a little bland, also the chips were decent. Compared to the other restaurant this definitely wasn't up to par. The service was great due to the fact it was 9 of us and one waiter, she did a great job keeping up with everyone orders and refilling drinks. She definitely received a great tip. Like we almost couldn't finish.... good thing I wasn't the driver. Took one for the team I ordered fajita salad. Was good. Not fantastic. Jimmy got the trio grill. O.M.gosh!! Delish! Tons of food. Food was ok, not up to the usual standards. The service and I say that jokingly because there was none, sucked big time. Someone took our order, then left. A different person brought us our food but we had to ask for part of that as it hadn't been brought. Never saw our wait person again. We wanted another drink, I had to find someone, twice. Came here during my brief stay in Centreville. There wasn't too many options here so this sounded pretty good. The restaurant very much reminds me of a log cabin on the inside and outside. The service was quick and the staff were nice. I ordered the mango margarita in a 32oz and it basically came out in a little pitcher with a straw in it. It was surprisingly good and pretty strong. The price tag on it was pretty low. It tasted just a tiny bit too artificial to me with the mango however. For my entree, I got the enchilada trio which came with rice and beans. I've had many enchiladas in my life and these were pretty solid. I had one steak, one shrimp, and one chicken. The sauce on each worked well. The rice and beans were just your average rice and beans you get at a Mexican restaurant, nothing special there. Overall this place is pretty good especially when you have very few options to choose from. read more

We were immediately tended to upon being seated by friendly staff. The food came incredibly fast and was absolutely delicious. Our table got the enchiladas verdes and chicken fajitas. The enchiladas were great. I would post a 5 star review just for the rice and beans. We also loved being able to enjoy the nice weather on the front porch! There should be no kids there and some of them bring there kids to work with them and one of the servers was playing In her child's hair and touching food without washing her hand that's a big no no it take 15 minutes for our food to come and the man beside us got his food first and we was here before him. Really average Mexican restaurant. Pretty much the type of food you would expect from a Tex-Mex establishment. Nothing great and nothing bad. Actually, one bad thing is that they don't have Dos Equis on draft, which means they don't have the giant glasses of beer that we are all so accustomed to getting at these types of places (they do at least have Dos Equis bottles). Juanes is your typical little Mexican place. Nothing really stood out that was overly fantastic. The restaurant itself is clean and the service was good. We ordered fajita quesadillas. Mine was very much lacking in the shrimp department in my opinion as there was only a few in there. The bell peppers and onions were barely cooked at all and were quite crunchy which wasn't what I was expecting. Also for those interested, they don't serve any alcoholic drinks so that might be of importance to some. Overall I would say it's not horrible and there really aren't any other Mexican options in the local area. If you don't mind a short drive to Montevallo, there are better places there. read more

The food here is excellent. Has some of the best innovative Mexican food such as an inside out enchilada which has become one of my favorite dishes. The wait staff can be a little slow at times however that's almost to be expected in a family owned restaurant.
