My husband went to Valle Grande this evening for a wedding rehearsal dinner. He and a few friends went to the bar to order as a drink because the wedding party preferred no alcohol in the private room. The bartender would not allow them to order a drink as he was "too busy". At first they thought he was kidding and attempted to order drinks two more times, both times being shut down and told "No were too busy here". Never have I heard of such a rude bartender or establishment that would turn down an alcohol sale to sober gentleman. Terrible terrible service. read more

The facility is very rustic and fascinating. Service is really good considering the amount of people within the restaurant. There's a very wide variety of food with flavor. The chips are served hot and crispy with a nice refreshing salsa. If you choose to have cheese dip, it is really nice and creamy with a slight spice. As for the food, it's great. Ordered my food on Saturday...finally got it on Sunday afternoon. Not literally, but that's my kind way of saying "I never got my food". Waiter actually brought the check to my other guests, and NEVER even questioned why there wasn't a plate in front of me. Where is Captain Obvious when you need him? Stay away!!!! From looking at other people's plates...the people who actually got their food, quality looked subpar and food smelled old. I've seen better from the freezer section in supermarkets. Probably 90% of my guests of around 50 people, only ate maybe 20% of their food. And it wasn't related to having a huge portion size, it was because the food smelled like butchered donkeys. If you travel through the small town of Maplesville, please avoid this little piss pot of a restaurant. read more

Would give a -5 if possible due to the rudeness of the manager. Placed a take out order, repeated it to the manager 3 times. Arrived to pick it up, the order was not complete and was missing one plate. I thought it was nice big deal as things happen! That was until the manager approached me and scolded me and argued stating the order was correct as I apparently didn't order correctly! Manager insisted that I only ordered 2 items and a cheese dip! It was insane ! Then on top of all this, I asked if I could have an additional bag of chips and 1 more salsa due to having ordered 3 meals and a large cheese dip. I didn't think the small little bag of chips was enough ... Esp with the large cheese dip. The manager rudely told me that was all I could get without paying for more! I questioned this due to the large order and having cheese dip ....I even inquired why when dining in their was unlimited chips and the cheese dip always came with chips ! He said he did not know!!!! So I was charge extra for chips to eat with the cheese dip! Then instead of handing my card back and saying thank you...he tossed the card at me and walked off!!! I have NEVER seen such rudeness!! Will never go back ...even though it is like 1 Mike from my house ... I would rather drive 45 min!! read more

Half way through our meal we found a dead fly in the pico de gallo, he was well soaked so it had been in there a while.
