This place gets five stars not because it's a Five star place But because it's exactly perfect for what it is. The Rolling Romantics stopped by this location to grab a bite to eat. They offered Subway and Juanhijos Burrito's . We choose Juanhijos and Robert took my order. I like the fact that the area was clean and every item looked fresh. I selected a bowl no beans with all the other trimmings except guacamole because $1.79 for a scoop was a little to steep. I asked Robert about the different sauces they had ; "which was mild and which would blow my head off". Robert was knowledgeable of the sauces and that was great. I returned to the truck and prayed over our food and when I tell U the first bite My Pompey took he smiled, I knew it was good. Thanks to my Electric Log Book I ran out of hours in SeligmanAZ for the night . I stopped at exit 123 / Interstate 40 and went to the Chevron on the south side of the road.Juanhijo's is in the Chevron building (even though they don't have a sign up) . The map here on Yelp! is showing it in a field on other side of interstate lol Decided to get the Burrito Bowl . The restaurant is set up like a Subway(which is right next to them in the same building). They started out with a layer of beans(retried or pinto) , a layer of Spanish rice and then your choice of protein . They you can top it off with lettuce,cheese,salsa etc . You end up with a HUGE amount of Burrito Bowl for your money- way too much that I could get eaten for this supper(but I finished it off anyway lol) .. Good, convenient and right off I-40! We've all been there, traveling on the interstate, wanting to get to our destination sooner than later. Heading to Vegas we wanted something other than typical fast food...burgers, fries, grease! In the Chevron right off one of the two Seligman exits is a counter serving made to order burritos! Ironically it is right beside the Subway counter. First of all for just under $7 (tax included), you get a burrito large enough for 2 meals or 2 people! It comes with rice and beans, your choice of shredded beef, pork, chicken or steak, veggies, cheese, sour cream, and all kinds of toppers from pico de gallo, chipotle to green chili! About the only thing that's extra is guacamole. Kind of like Chipotle but nice to find in a small town. Fast, friendly service with a smile! The only thing is, do not plan to eat it there. There is no real seating, but it is packed so well that it's perfect to eat in your car or on the road (forgive me DPS officer). You could even find a nice spot in town or off a dirt road to enjoy this magnificant burrito with two hands! I know the bathrooms are part of Chevron, but they were nice and clean as well! Think Subway, but for burritos instead of sandwiches. This place is right off of I-40 and offers plenty of parking for truckers, like myself. Ordering is quick and convenient. The food is already prepared and waiting for you to build your own entree. I have tried both the chicken and the pork, and both were fresh and delicious. The burritos are gigantic. They could easily be two meals for a person, or split between two people without compromise. Beware of the hot sauce - it's no joke. So this review is from something that happened here in July of 2018. I walked in and ordered a breakfast burrito. I said I wanted eggs sausage cheese and they asked if I wanted hash browns and back then I was a hog so I said yes. The eggs were premaid like the subway eggs,sausage was the banquet pre cooked sausage and they warmed it all up in front of me in the microwave including the frozen hash brown things that u get at Walmart. It was all wrapped up and thats what I got. Im literally not joking! I didn't wanna cause a scene plus I was hungry so I bought it. Took off and opened that bad boy up. When i asked for extra sause. The staff memeber says "Do me a favor and put $2.50 in the tip jar" I replied calmly "Sorry buddy, I dont give people who begs for money any of my change like that". Fantastic burritos. Very fresh and tasty. Portions are huge. The staff is super cool and super friendly and spends the extra time to make sure you get what you want. I and my gf's family ate there 3 days ago when coming back to coast from Grand Canyon. Everyone was extremely pleased. My husband and I shared one and it packs at least 1000 calories total--maybe even more. It hit the spot perfectly after a Grand Canyon hike.
