I haven't had tried many Indian restaurants before but omg this place was delicious!!! We went on a rainy day, so there weren't many customers inside. It smelled great and had nice ambient lighting, very peaceful, we felt. We were told to pick a seat and were immediately brought menus after sitting. The waiter was very kind and welcoming, patient while we asked his recommendations. Waiter was quick, drinks came out quick and food came out quick. We ended up ordering butter naan after finishing the garlic naan, we couldn't get enough!! It was also so delicious! We will definitely be coming back here often!! side note: my photo is a little misleading as I used the wide view angle. It made my butter chicken look huge but it's the same size dish as the lamb curry and the side dish of rice:) read more

I was so excited to try this place and support my people! The Indian food here is incredible! Great service, nice rustic ambiance and the dishes were perfect and flavorful. Being Indian myself I can be very picky with Indian restaurants but this family did a wonderful job! I loved the pappri chaat! FINALLY found chaat the way I love it. We also enjoyed the wings and samosas! Still a winner! Best Indian food in northern AZ! Much better than anything I can find in Flagstaff or Prescott. If you find yourself driving through Ashfork this restaurant is worth the stop! This is some of the best Indian food I've ever had... in the middle of nowhere Arizona? What? Jenny and I were filling up gas and saw it across the street and decided, why the hell not... and boy are we glad we took the chance. They were able to make me chicken methi (off menu) and I was soooo f-in excited, and it's probably the best methi (or close to it) that I've had in the U.S. Highly highly recommended! read more

I don't know how this place stays open given its location, but I'm really glad it is open, and I hope it stays that way--if you're going past, to the Grand Canyon or wherever, stop off here! I really can't say enough good things about it; I'd give it 6 stars if I could, and I rarely or never say that in a review, especially on a first visit. Reasonable prices for excellent Indian food. They have a full range of the usual appetizers (samosas, various pakora, etc.), curries and sauce dishes (tikka masala, butter chicken, curries, etc.), and biryani, with beverage options like lassi and a good selection of soft drinks. There's a whole page of veggie options. The butter chicken was very nicely seasoned. There's paneer pakora was delicious and went well with both sauces; even the little pita chip squares it was served on seemed freshly cooked and were unusually good. They have many types of naan, even more than on the menu; I'd never had chili naan before but it was delicious. The server was great, I asked for recommendations and got good ones. There's obviously plenty of parking. The space inside is great: simples, clean, rustic-looking wooden tables and chairs, and windows all around that are about 10 feet high so there's lots of natural light. read more

Stopped here on the way back from a long road trip from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon and it was the first time I've tried Indian food. It was some of the best food I've had! I was very impressed. I had the butter chicken with garlic naan and the flavor level of mild plus which was 2/5 on a spice scale which was perfect! We were looking for somewhere to grab a bite on our way back from the Grand Canyon, and to be honest, we were a little skeptical given the location. Any fears we had quickly disappeared when we opened the door and were welcomed with an incredible aroma. We ordered butter chicken and chicken korma with garlic naan and were blown away. So this is place has only been open about a month. They're working on expanding their menu, and waiting on alcohol permits to open the bar, although they do have beer and wine. I've only had Indian food a handful of times, in different states, so I have a relatively virgin palette when it comes to Punjabi. They didn't have a good selection of soft drinks, and I didn't think they had a soda fountain (just cans) but towards the end of my meal, I noticed another gentleman with what looked like a fountain soda, although it could've been tea. So I just had water. The place is new, so remarkably clean. A mixture of wild West mixed with some Punjabi decorum. The lights look cool, but we're turned off since it was in the middle of the day. Now, I wasn't in any hurry whatsoever, but I was the first and only customer to come in, with 3 other parties after I had been there for a little while. I was also the last of the 3 to leave. I *think* they forgot my order at some point, because the waiter had to come back and ask me what I ordered after about 20 or 30 minutes. I ordered Samosa for an appetizer, Spicy Lamb Vandaloo and Garlic Naan. My Samosa came out pretty quickly after I ordered. It was super hot, and super good. Both sauces as well. After about 15 minutes of finishing, that's when the waiter asked what I had ordered. I'm in no hurry, but maybe for others that are, the wait is a bit long, but the food quality is worth it. About 1/2 thru my meal, my Naan came out. Everything was better than average. The lamb wasn't spicy at all, at least to me, the Naan was ok. My waiter and the other owner guy were super nice. A solid 3.6 stars for this place. I'm eager to see what It manifests into in the coming months. read more

Pleasantly Surprised - A Must-Visit Spot Near the Grand Canyon! We stopped by during the July 4th long weekend and, honestly, we were a bit skeptical at first about the location and the food. But we were pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything turned out to be! We ordered two curries -- chicken and paneer -- along with three types of naan. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and well-prepared. The quality and taste of the food exceeded our expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. I don't usually leave reviews, but this place was so good, I felt compelled to share. I'm vegevoire and eat here as often as I can afford. The prices are reasonable, it's just that my income is modest. I get fried tofu as my protein source, leaving out the egg. I enjoy level 4 heat. I usually get my order to go and it's ready in 10-15 minutes. I highly recommend it. read more

Amazing hidden Indian gem! To prefix I don't get the chance to try many Indian places so my pallete may come up short to traditional standards, but the Naan was fresh and authentic and their sauces, rice and lamb in many variations were all filing and absolutely delicious. The paneer masala was creamy with the perfect mix of acidity, and the Biryani was particularly well seasoned. Great late night stop after visiting the grand canyon and totally unexpected for the location : ) *I gave it 5 despite, but it would get an honest 5 if the bar* part of the bar and grill were up and running. It was also a bit heavy on the cowboy decour for authentic indian, but everything was clean and comfortable (though the wooden chairs had a few miles on them), and the two gentlemen seen running the place were very friendly and served well to a party of 6 along with the late night crowd! Any gripes aside I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for something other than a steakhouse or more generic option in the area, and I think It'll only get better as time goes on! : ) read more

We discovered it while filling gas at the station. Great vegetarian food was made fresh and quick. Tava rotis were soft and homemade. So glad we ordered. Very attentive and pleasant service. This restaurant is located on my truck route, i ordered the butter chicken and butter naan, the chicken was tender the spices where on point and the portion was more than enough, the service was fast I called ahead and they had it ready to go when I got there. This is a BRAND NEW restaurant located at the entrance of Ash Fork city. We had been waiting to try and was not disappointed. FOOD: absolutely delicious. I hadn't tried this type of food before but it was hot, tasty, and super filling. The food definitely didn't look like the pictures on the menu which was slightly shocking when it came out. SERVICE: we adore the people that are running the restaurant very clean and polite. Eager to serve and receive feedback!! PRICE: avg plate from 12-15 which is everywhere now, but the servings were good and we left stuffed with takeout under $50 including tip. It'd be nice if there was a local discount to encourage more of our small town to invest!! OVERALL: VERY HAPPY AND WILL RETURN. We can't wait to see how this business grows and attracts more customers. The bar is not open yet but the inside of the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and the service is lovely for what they have going so far.
