Buying an old house meant lots of updates…read more New outlets, phone jacks, lighting, upgrading the box to handle larger capacity so that I could use the toaster and the coffee maker at the same time. Lots of work! The guys at David Electric came & did me up. The cost was well under the price I had expected to pay. The employees were prompt, neat, polite and cleaned up after themselves (yay!). In the years since I've had them out for a few other lighting changes. My beautiful expensive dining room chandelier had some manufacturing issues. The hooks used to hold up the chandelier would break. Yeah always fun to look into the dining room and see the chandelier hanging by two out of three arms! But the boys at David Electric replaced all the bad hooks once I got replacements. Next big job is to replace some seriously old wiring. Got a great price on the job. Now I'm just saving up my pennies so I can afford it. No doubt as to who I am gonna call when I'm ready though!

Ryan was great, tried to keep my carpets/bathroom clean as much as possible and was patient in discussing my options and answering my questions. Surprisingly was able to get an appointment for install on Monday. Jared was also great. Definitely appreciate the small details and concerns to keep the carpet clean like hand carrying both the old and new water heater up 2 flights of stairs. Between the quick response/scheduling time, clean workmanship, and fine attention to detail, happy to say the leaking water heater experience felt less chaotic with 128's help! Total turnaround time, Friday 11pm to Monday 4pm hot water up and running!!

I called 128 Plumbing about one cracked drain pipe. I was told my entire house needed to be…read morerepiped. The estimate (#435094323) was $30,275 to demo every wall and ceiling necessary, disconnect first- and second-floor bathrooms, toilets and sinks, and replace the main stack. That was presented to me as the only option -- no alternatives, no phasing, nothing. And it did not include the roughly $6,000 I'd need to close the walls back up and reinstall fixtures, or the ~$400 roofer I'd have to hire and coordinate myself. Their own estimate puts the hole repair on the customer in writing. All in: nearly $37,000. Meanwhile my first-floor tenant was told she couldn't use her bathroom or her kitchen. When I hesitated at the number, I was told that at least if I sold the house I'd "have retail value." That's the line that made me stop and get a second opinion. Thompson Plumbing came out, found the actual leak -- old hubbed cast iron serving the kitchen -- and repiped it. $2,995. My final invoice was $3,420, and that included an unrelated frost-free silcock I added on. My toilet was fine. My kitchen sink was fine. My tenant's kitchen and bathroom were fine. Not one wall was demoed. Same house. Same leak. Ten percent of the price. I'm not going to speculate about why the two assessments were so far apart. I'll just say this: if 128 Plumbing tells you your house needs a $30,000 repipe, get a second quote before you sign anything. I nearly didn't, and it would have cost me thirty-three thousand dollars I did not need to spend.

From the very thorough 'free estimate' visit with Patrick, the friendly and helpful office staff, right down to the electricians who came out every day for 6 days-extremely satisfied customer over here. Victor and Bryan were very professional and polite. They were prompt and timely. Victor explained everything they planned to do each morning, and walked me through the progress made before leaving for the day. Never have I had work done in my home-where the clean up was done like these two. They swept, they vacuumed and even though I said 'I'll get that', they said 'nope we made the mess, we'll clean it'. I'm so glad I had this work done, my house feels so much safer now. I had a couple of quotes and Kuhlman was the most affordable. If you haven't heard the commercials-take a listen-talk about smart advertising! Thank you Victor, Bryan and Kuhlman Electric!

I received the estimate a few days later and scheduled the job. Jeff and Liam arrived on time and took great care to keep the house clean and free of clutter. They worked efficiently through a long list of tasks and checked in with us about the additional items we wanted to add. Anywhere they needed to cut into a wall, they patched it neatly before leaving. We couldn't be happier with the results. We already plan to have them back for a few more projects and genuinely look forward to working with them again.
