After discovering knob and tube wiring in our home, my husband researched electricians online. We always read reviews before making decisions, and the ones for Kuhlman Electric were stellar. We called, got an appointment, and everything from that point on just felt right. We accepted their estimate and scheduled the work. From the start, communication was excellent. I received reminders via text and email, always with a note encouraging me to reach out with any questions. On the morning the work began, I got a text with the names of the technicians and a heads-up that they were on their way. When GPS misled them (as it often does in our area), they called to let me know. From the moment Richard and Alex walked into our home, they were professional, knowledgeable, and worked together with seamless teamwork. Our house is over 100 years old, so we expected surprises -- and we got them. Some of the additional work involved coordination with our electric company. I made the initial contact, and Kuhlman took it from there. Richard explained everything clearly and thoroughly. What could have felt overwhelming was made manageable thanks to his calm and informative approach. The job was estimated to take six days, and even with the added work, it was completed on time. My husband and I recently bought a house that required a lot of electrical work we weren't aware of (sale was not contingent upon inspection). Most of the work was either troubleshooting or aesthetic, but some was urgent. As we had not budgeted for this added expense, we were wary of having to have all of the work completed at once, but we wanted an estimate for everything so that we would know how much to budget for. Kuhlman was the second company to give us an estimate. Patrick was extremely knowledgeable, thought and planned holistically, investigated issues thoroughly, and suggested options that others had not and were far less invasive. We had three phases of work that needed to be done, which he helped us to prioritize. Then Kuhlman worked with us to break out the phases for scheduling. Ayann and Liam performed the work. They were outstanding - prompt, communicative, proficient, professional, and very conscientious of how the work they were doing impacted our day-to-day life (my husband works from home most days). We found knob and tube during a small electrical upgrade. To our surprise, it was in a majority of the house. Knowing that it needed to be removed, we called four electricians for quotes on the job. I am happy to say that we chose Kuhlman Electric. From the start the office was professional and answered all of our questions. Steve- who came out to assess the issues was great to deal with and explained what really needed to be done. The stars of the project hands down go to the electricians Jeff 'D'Entremont and Seamus Lowney. This was a 10 day job removing the unsafe wiring ( and additional work we decided to have completed). Jeff and Seamus were professional, punctual, knowledgeable and so kind during the project. We can't give them enough stars for the job they completed. Knowing how dangerous knob and tube can be hiring the right electricians/company is absolutely essential . Our 1920's house which we love is now knob and tube free and safe from any future worries. Excellent electric group. I contracted Kuhlman for $10K of work, and it was done well. Joe did the estimate promptly and they were able to schedule me within a few weeks, and bid lower than other firms (some competitors wanted $35 just to create an estimate, others were not available for months). The Kuhlman crew was also able to recognize things I'd misspec'd and adapt on the fly during the three day installation. I had a number of new lights, outlets, fixtures, circuits, EV charger, fans, and other updates done. Communication was great with Jen & Carrie, and Rich, Jeff, & Justin's work was timely and clean. They'd call or text whenever needed. They were also very amicable to coming back and cleanup some minor issues as part of the bid, sticking to their numbers. Work passed inspection without trouble. They also promptly supported me when my new washer wouldn't work, helping me discover the installer had miswired it, and that everything Kuhlman had done was actually spot on (AFCI breakers save the day). I'm already making my next laundry list for Kuhlman. read more

Recently I had a pleasant surprise. Two young electricians from Kuhlman Electric (Justin Kerrigan and Warren Harding) came to install my Tesla Wall Charger. I was very pleased with their work and their professional attitude. They arrived on time; they introduced themselves and then went about their work. Midway through the installation, Justin the senior electrician suggested instead of putting the wall charger on the right-hand side of the garage they put it on the left-hand side. That turned out to be a better location and it has worked out nicely for me. I am very happy with the work done by Kuhlman. In the future, I will recommend Kuhlman to anyone that needs electrical work done. Incidentally, my wife's first cousin, Christine recommended Kuhlman to me. Also, I'm very happy to be able to identify the superior work of both Justin Kerrigan and Warren Harding. They are a credit to Kuhlman Electric. They are keepers. read more

I had an outstanding experience with Kuhlman Electric and specifically with Justin Kerrigan. I originally had two other companies come out to look at replacing my attic fan, and both told me it would require pulling up part of the roof--turning it into a much bigger (and more expensive) project than I expected. I'm so glad I decided to get another opinion. Justin came in, assessed the situation, and came up with a smart, efficient solution to complete the installation from inside--no roof work needed. The fan is now working perfectly. On top of that, he also installed a new outlet for me, and everything was done cleanly and professionally. Justin was knowledgeable, creative in his approach, and clearly takes pride in his work. I'll absolutely be using Kuhlman Electric again and will be requesting Justin for future projects. I was very pleased with Kuhlman from start to finish. The main project was installing an EV charger a significant distance from my panel. They also installed two light fixtures. Communication during every step - estimate, quote, work, billing, inspection - was great. The electricians, Ayann Alimagno and Liam O'Connor, did excellent work! Justin Kerrigan arrived on time, priced the job, performed the work in an efficient manner, and cleaned up after himself. The work was neatly done and with consideration for household peculiarities (cranky old cat). While the company dispatch fee is a bit high (driving from Nashua to Peterborough) the overall cost was within the range I expected to pay. I would recommend this firm and this electrician. Justin told us that he likes small jobs as being sometimes more challenging than larger routine jobs. I appreciate that attitude. read more

Our newly purchased home needed some improvements and we went with KES as they offered financing for relocating our panel and our upgrade to 200 amp service. Justin & Seamus worked three long days to dig new grounds, install a new mast, and construct the new panel. They were diligent, professional, and communicative. I heard the Kulhman electric ad on WBZ during Howie Carr show sometime ago.Very funny! Stuck in my head when i needed breaker breaker panel replacement due water leak damage. We had overhead lights out in several rooms. Justin Kerrigan came out and had to find the source of the short causing a cascading outage. He systematically checked behind the light switch covers to find the problematic switch. He found it, corrected the issue, and then carefully cleaned up any debris left from removing the covers.
